"We really enjoyed our holiday here and have booked to return next year. The location is ideal as the building adjoins a beautiful beach with calm sea and good walks.Beach chairs are always available to guests. Shops, restaurants and bus stops are just a few minutes walk away. The veranda is cool and private with a view of the well kept gardens and the sea. It is very pleasant to sit there in the comfortable chairs (with foot-stools!) Water sports and boat trips are are available from the beach provided in a friendly and efficient way. A very pleasant atmosphere created by the people that live and work there completes the temptation to call this "paradise.""Guest: ANN AND PATRICK O. "We had such a wonderful time at shutters! This is the second time we have stayed here and I couldn't recommend a better place to spend your holiday. The house is lovely and has everything you could possibly need. We spent lazy days by the pool, had bbqs in the evenings and watched the sun go down on the upstairs balcony. The staff keep the house exceptionally clean. Barbados itself is just amazing. The beaches are gorgeous - we would recommend the beach down the road, crane and bottom bay for stunning views. My partner is a keen scuba diver and would recommend wreckers and reefers in speightstown. He even swam with a humpback whale and her calf - a once in a lifetime opportunity. A few things to try when you are there - ten saints lager, one love bar on a Sunday for karaoke, John Moore bar on the main road for cheap drinks, Jeffersons cookout at the end of the road, and the food vans dotted around. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend a stay at shutters. We had a perfect holiday and can't wait to go back!"Guest: Jade Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: July 18, 2014View listing
"My sisters and I rented this townhome for our celebration of my 50th birthday in Barbados and we enjoyed it tremendously. We rented a car and had difficulty finding the unit but the friendly residents in Barbados offered to call Maureen and actually have us follow them to the unit. Maureen was very helpful in getting us keys and information on the unit. It was clean and well furnished. The location is great, with the beach just across the road which had rental chairs and umbrellas, the bus stop where we rode the yellow buses was within walking distance, great restaurants and food. The plunge pool was great to cool off. Our favorite restaurant was the Tides in Holetown which offered excellent food and service. Overall I don't think I can say anything bad, our time here was wizzo (fabulous)."Guest: Jill & Hunter Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 22, 2014View listing
"What a wonderful spot in Paradise. Close to everything yet a few minute walk away from the center of tourism. Feels like local Barbados. Condo has everything you could want or need in your home away from home. Small grocery store next door. Larger store about a 15 minute walk away. Descriptions and pictures accurately describe this lovely spot. Rob was great to deal with as was Greg when we arrived. Dover Beach is a 2 minute walk away. Local buses about a 10 minute walk. This place has a great location, is safe and the perfect spot for a great vacation. Would highly recommend."Guest: Terry P. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 28, 2014View listing
