  • Wonderful vacation villa!

"My family and I loved staying here and I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Rene again! The villa was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. I have 3 teenagers, and our family of 5 was very comfortable here. We were able to buy groceries and eat some of our meals and snacks in the villa which was great, as the restaurants on the Wyndham property are pricey. Having the golf cart to use was a bonus, as we could use all the amenities of the Wyndham like the pools, beach chairs, Tiki hut, etc, and at the end of the day get in our golf cart and go back to our villa and enjoy a glass of wine on the awesome balcony. Rene and his wife Norma met us when we arrived, showed us everything in the villa, then took us driving around the Wyndham property to make sure we knew where everything was. The Villa was close to everything - the rain forest, Fajardo (for the catamarans/sail boats) and only 35 minutes from Old San Juan. Our stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend this villa!"

  • Will be back!

"Just got back from our stay at the Grand Caribe and am missing Ambergris Caye already! We stayed 12 days in this beautiful condo and had the option of renting it as a 2 bedroom. The resort is first class, staff are more than willing to help you with all your needs. The maids cleaned the condo daily including doing the dishes, laundry and mopping the floors. Everything at the resort is clean and well maintained, we even saw the staff rake and clean the beach area twice daily. The resort is one of the few on the island where you can walk in and swim right from the beach. We also enjoyed snorkeling right off the dock. Love the location of this resort and in our opinion, one of the nicest north of the bridge. You are far away enough from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro yet close enough to bike or hike into town. The resort is also close to a lot of good restaurants. We highly recommend Ak-bol yoga retreat resort, a two minute walk south for their restaurant and if you enjoy yoga, they have classes at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day. The prices were great as well, $4 U.S. for 3 chicken salbutes! Try the pizza too, it is amazing ? Also, close by is the Lazy Croc, Aji’s and Capricorn. All have great atmospheres right on the beach. We did visit the Palapa Bar about 5 min. south down the beach, a lot of fun, and if you are hungry try the slow cooked pulled pork. We rented bikes for our entire stay at Maya House bike rentals just a short walk south from the resort. We found this to be our mode of transportation as we enjoyed the exercise and exploring riding up and down the beach path. One day we rode 45 minutes north of the resort and to our surprise found Xtan Ha beach. Most beautiful beach, no seaweed, beautiful blue Caribbean and white sand. They have tables in the water where you can eat or enjoy a cool topical drink. Snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine reserve and Shark Ray alley is a must. If you are not to keen on snorkeling, you can take the glass bottom boat. One day we took the water taxi into Belize city and hired a taxi to take us to the Zoo. Great to see the Jaguars and other native animals in their natural environment. Tips: In San Pedro, Belize Chocolate factory, chocolate chip cookies and brownies, mmm! Eat at Mesa Café #1 restaurant on Tripadvisor but only open 9-5. LOTS to see and do on this island and close by, even golf on a nearby island, ask locals, front desk or get a travel book. Tacogirl.com offers discounts for Tropic Air."

  • Good experience

"This was our first time in doing a VRBO. Greg was very responsive to both email and telephone. A major problem was the lack of wireless. I called Greg and told him and he had a firm come out and fix it the next day. It was fine after that. The condo was fine. It was clean and everything was functional. It was about 25 steps from the water which we snorkled in three times. We were not happy with the bed, but we have had worse in hotels. The bed was long enough but narrower than a true king. The condo is a studio with a kitchen. All appliances worked just fine and the utensils were good. All tile floor. I had problems with the lock and could not get it, but my wife got it on the first try. My glasses were stolen from the back table on our patio. The power went out once and the telephone did not work. I do not blame Greg or Aimee for that, rather it is life on the Virgin Islands. I called Greg about the power going out and it turns out that he keeps matches and a lighter and candles for that reason. In general we would have given it an A+ except for the bed."

  • Paradise Found!

"My family and I just returned from the most amazing vacation in Vieques! Our stay at Los Bohios was, quite honestly, the best part of our time there. Due to our early morning risers, ages 5 and 7, we were all ready to hit the pool by 7am every day. We cranked the tunes, opened up the doors, and enjoyed our daily pool parties. While far enough away from others as to not be a nuisance, we were still close enough to activity to not be completely isolated. Esperanza is about a five minute drive from the house. The kitchen is very well-appointed! Anything you could possibly need is within reach. The three outdoor showers were a highlight as well. There is no air conditioning, but it's really not needed. The only times I wished I had it were when I would wake in the night to the serenade of the coquí. We felt like we were in good hands with Colleen as our contact on the island. She is a great resource for the inside scoop on the island. She was extremely easy to get in touch with both before our vacation, and while in Vieques. She was also able to address any questions or concerns I may have had. Thank you so much, Colleen! We can't wait until we come to visit again!"
