  • Best "Margarita Dive Club" trip ever!!

"Cayman Bay Escape was perfectly suited for our 4 couple dive club! We have been to Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Bonaire, Belize and Roatan and this was everyone's favorite spot!!! The kitchen has all the necessary equipment. The dining room, TV room and outside living space is perfect for 8 people. The pool deck is huge and we were able to lay out all of our dive gear easily to dry. THere is also an outside shower to rinse off the equipment. The bedroom with the twin beds was easily transformed into a kingsize bed and the bathroom was located just across the hallway. The other bedrooms/bathrooms were very private on either side of the house and the cottage was perfect for one of our couples. The diving off the property is first class. We saw huge Moray eels, lobster, tons of Lion Fish, and other beautiful fish, corals, sponges, sea urchins...the list goes on...The pool was lovely to sit around and watch both the sunrise and sunset. Michael was easily accessible before our trip for multiple questions. The manager, Barbara, was easily accessible by the home phone. Marcia (sp?) came twice during our week stay to wash sheets and towels and freshen up the kitchen. The island is very friendly and safe. We dove with Deep Blue Divers in town and the 15 minute drive each morning was totally worth it. Nick runs a first class dive operation and Sunny was our favorite boat captain and dive master. Nick provided an almost private boat for our group because we don't like to dive with a large number of people at the same spot. We got to swim with Fin the nurse shark and watch Sunny hunt Lion Fish and feed them to the Snapper! The Spotted Eagle Rays were magnificent, as well as the turtles. We saw lobster, huge crabs, huge Moray eels and smaller Brown eels. THe angel fish and other fish and corals, sponges were spectacular! Can you tell that I am having a difficult time finding the adjectives to describe our vacation!?! *smile* A few things to remember, supposedly your US car insurance will not cover you in GRand Cayman, so if you want insurance it about doubles the price of the car. Also, using a cell phone is very check you plans before you arrive. Fosters or Kirks grocery were fine for shopping. The restaurants are pretty expensive so come prepared. We found the Sunshine Grill to have fantastic burgers, fish sandwiches for a reasonable price. There is also Pizza Hut and CHicken/Chicken for take out and cheaper dinner. WIFI was great!"

  • Best Spot On The Island

"This is our second time returning to Tres Amigos Beach House, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The house is amazing. Myself, as a surfer, can check the waves without even getting out of bed! Just steps away from the beach, with private access, my wife and kids could lounge and watch me surf / walk back to the house whenever they want. When sitting outside on the patio, inside the house, or swinging in the hammock, the sunset is just magnificent and breathtaking. Everyone is friendly, even going in to town, you never feel unsafe or unsure, as most everyone speaks English and is very approachable - never a worry in the world. We even traveled to some of the nearby resorts to lay near the pool and check out their restaurants - all were very accommodating. Every restaurant in the area has great food and we didn't have one bad meal. We highly recommend staying at Amigos Beach House and we'll definitely be back again! Thanks!"

"We just returned from our stay in Tierre Del Sol . This was our first time using VRBO, so it was unnerving until we got there. Everything was exactly as Jake had told us! He was very easy to work with. Directions were great! We drove straight there. Quite honestly the Island is so easy to get around. Once there, we were able to get in by getting keys out of lockbox. The community is gated, which also gives a sense of security. I never felt threatened on any part of the Island. The condo itself is exactly as it looked in pictures! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We used the griddle a lot!! After arriving we figured out what we would need at the grocery. The prices at grocery are pretty comparable to prices in the states. They have everything priced twice US$ and their $. The condo is located at the North end of the Island. After traveling and hiking that entire Island...... In our opinion the North end is much nicer!!!! The pool at the condo is very plush and food / drinks are reasonably priced! Definitely worth having the "country club package" We liked the fact that the condo was away from the busy part of the island. It was so peaceful!! We enjoyed watching the sun rise every morning from our bed. With that being said the beds were our only major complaint. As another review has posted there is plastic on the beds. I understand why from a business point of view, but don't agree with the type of plastic. They were still wrapped in the plastic that the beds came in.... Which is not breathable. That lead to sleepless nights for us. A lot of tossing, turning and sweating. I have discussed this issue with Jake and he has assured me the plastic will be changed. We would love to return to this property if that is taken care of!! Aside from that I would still reccomend this property. We didn't do the typical tourist jeep tours, etc.... We chose to hike. If you are a hiker you definitely will need your good hiking boots, day pack with hydration, trek sticks, and good aqua shoes . If you hike the north end it's all lava rock and washed up coral..... Absolutely beautiful!! We drove and parked. We hiked from the west to Far East. It was an easy 3-4 our hike.... Aqua shoes def required!! Our more dif hike was at Arikok National park. We were planning on doing the hike ourselves, but ended up having a park ranger, so we could learn more about the culture. We had Rambo, and boy.... He didn't stop!! We hiked 6hrs in intense heat w"

  • Collins Villa

"Great layout. 2 bedroom suites that are large and bathrooms that are clean. Ruth took care of us each day and made sure the Villa was clean. Great location, right on Shoal Bay East. Would go back in a heartbeat. Easy dealing with the owners."
