  • Family Vacation

"My family of 14 spent 10 days at the Villa. The villa was large enough to comfortably accommodate all of us. There were a few items that could be replaced that are a bit worn. The hammocks were pretty worn, one was torn and unusable. The first floor couch with bed was not usable. The frame needs replacement. The kitchens had pretty much all that is needed for our stay. If you want to snorkel from the dock it really is too shallow and not much to see, the kayaks were great to use. There was a nightly visit from a very large raccoon which made it a little nerve wracking to go outside in the dark. The caretaker German and Champ were very helpful and friendly. We had a great first night dinner prepared by German's wife. Champ brought my delayed luggage right to the house after a three day delay somewhere with United Airlines. We had a fun day on the water with German and his crew, snorkling, and spear fishing. One large thing I am still waiting to hear from the owners on my security deposit. I have emailed the owners multiple times with no response."

  • It was perfect!

"Our stay on Bill and Connee's studio apartment was perfect. The location is a great place to kick off fun in San Pedro and the ocean. One doesn't even need transportation to take advantage of island living, or getting there from the airport or ferry (if you don't have a ton of luggage). The studio was perfect. It had everything one would need; a well equipped kitchen, a nice bath, a comfortable full size futon, cleanliness and good ventilation (for those of us who like fresh air) and air conditioning. Plus the place is just so darn cute! Connee, Bill and Yvette (property manger) were welcoming, accommodating and fun! They even turned us on to some local music that was fantastic. Enjoy your stay!"

  • The best Belize vacation yet!

"A much belated review of Casa de Paradiso, but I give this the highest rating! Two families (four adults, four children ages 7 to 3) spent 12 wonderful days in this home over Christmas. It exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The location is fantastic- outside of town enough to feel relaxed, but close enough to pop in as needed. The location to the Palapa Bar is so awesome, just outside of the home. Having young children, we were NEVER bothered by the noise at night, but loved the ability to grab lunch or dinner and let the kids take in the cool atmosphere of a very friendly location. The house was wonderful- so spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautifully appointed! Orlando was the best ever, he took care of everything and Duny (I hope I spelled that correctly) was fabulous and even spent a few nights watching our children. They were wonderful! Lolly (the home owner) was so helpful in planning our trip and answering questions. This was our third time to Belize and by far our best trip- hands down. We will be renting this house again- it was a vacation of a lifetime. We were literally on the beach- the kids would split their time between the ocean and the pool, playing in the sand and laying in the hammocks. If you are thinking about renting this house, DO IT! I promise you will be blown away. This was my second time renting on VRBO, my first time doing it in Belize and I will never look for another home again. I'm almost sad writing the review, we all miss it so much! Cheers and enjoy!"

  • View the Blue - Great quick get away

"We rented the house from 08/17-22 for a quick getaway. Just like previous reviewers, we really enjoyed it being our first time to Belize. We were a little worried about the weather but it turned out great. Here's the pros and cons about the house: Pros: roomy, good enough for 12 people. great ocean front view, private, reasonable price. You gotta go with the Suya tour. Carlos and his crew provides a very personal service and willing to work with you to make you happy. Victor, Ana's property assistant is very professional and courteous. George, the taxi driver is very helpful too. Cons: downstair cooktop and refrigerator is not working (Victor, Ana's assistant said he'll fix it the next day but never did) but not a big deal since we can use the upstairs one. The outdoor floodlight did not work but we manage to fix it ourselves. Pool light didn't work. We told the care taker the next day but he doesn't seem to speak english. The pool has several nice coconut trees to provide shade and add a nice touch to the pool. However, it also blocks the oceanfront view. Therefore you can't enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the second floor balcony. There are a lot of mosquitoes even though we brought repellent. It would be nice if caretaker can spray them (we saw the foggy smoke repellent tool in the utility room). It would be nice if we can use the two old bikes in the utility room. There's no hammocks as stated in the description. It would be wonderful if the local phone call is included. Here's what we would recommend for first time renters: - First day, get a golf cart to explore the town. - 2nd day: go on fishing/snorkeling with Suya tour (we caught quite a bit of fishes and lobsters for dinner) - The cave tubing/zip line is so so. The cave tubing is a little disappointed since we didn't get to do anything. The tour guy just pulled us through the whole time. The kids enjoy the zipline more. - Fishing trip if you love fishing. Carlos will take you to his secret fishing places :) Despite a few little things about the place, we did have a wonderful time. We definitely come back here again and recommend it to everyone."
