  • Just Right

"Just as Goldilocks searched for what was "just right", we did the same choosing a place to stay on Ambergris Caye for our first trip to Belize. Carolina Blue at Sunset Beach Resort was "just right". We couldn't have asked for anything more. It lived up to the description on the website, and we were thrilled that we had the privacy and quiet we needed with the convenience of booking snorkeling and other adventures. The staff is so accommodating and the condo was more than enough room to ensure comfort for the 4 of us. We loved it!"

  • Nicely updated condo

"This condo was exactly as described in the VRBO information and the owner was extremely helpful in responding to my email enquiries and phonecalls about both the property and other things we needed info on in the town of San Pedro. I would highly recommend this place. It was conveniently located to the heart of the town as well as the waterfront. My only complaint had nothing to do with the condo itself but the beach area close by is not that nice as there really aren't many nice swimming areas due to the condition of the beach and the turtle grass. The property is clean and well maintained and has had recent major upgrades to the kitchen, bathroom, flooring and windows as well as air conditioning unit. My husband went scuba diving with San Pedro diving school and they were also tremendous to deal with. The scuba diving is fantastic. We enjoyed The Crazy Canuck bar that was in walking distance for Sunday fun evening and The AJ's (Average Joe's)bar has fantastic chicken wings and the service was great. The local manager of this property was very easy to deal with and made himself available for us when we arrived to make sure eveything was as it should be. As he works at another place as well I would recommend calling him when you arrive from the airport to make sure he is available to meet you when you get there. We rented a golf cart for a day so that we could drive from one end of the island to the other but everything is within easy walking distance to the condo. My only complaint was that the couch was not that comfortable for us and we would have preferred two easy chairs but that is strictly our only concern and is really not the owners problem. A great place and excellent value as we did check out other prices while we were there. This property is an easy three block walk from the airport but if you have lots of luggage you need to take a taxi which will cost you $5 US. All in all a great vacation."

Chris was most helpful - meeting us at the airport and getting us to the home - also was extremely helpful in assisting with additional travel to Placencia when we requested assistance. Antonio, the caretaker, and his son were very attentive and friendly. We learned alot about the island culture from him. a wonderful experience."
