  • Great house and great help!

"We were a group of 5 couples staying at the villa for the first week of Nov. We arrived Saturday evening from the ferry and German and Edgar were there with 2 golf carts to greet us and a taxi to take all of our luggage. The golf cart ride was an adventure in itself in a fun way! We asked for German's wife, Margarite, to cook our first meal at the house (Belizean chicken and rice) and it was amazing after a long day of travel. It was so good that we had her cook a couple of other meals, one of which included ceviche! All were excellent! The villa was beautiful, had plenty of room, and was a perfect location for our group. We loved hanging out by the pool and relaxing on the private dock. German and Margarite (and their little dog, Belle) live directly behind the villa which was very convenient and helpful when we needed anything and never intrusive! Edgar, aka Champ, would rake the sand in the mornings and attend to the pool if it needed it (and helped with any other requests). One day he came by and cut fresh coconuts for us. He also assisted on our private tour to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley...a MUST DO! I was a little concerned initially about some of the reviews, but the owners have added new furniture and plenty of kitchen ware so we never had an issue. We did rent the entire house which included the owners suite. There are 3 full sized refrigerators in the house which was nice since we did buy a lot of groceries. The trek to town on the golf carts was always fun and only took about 15-20 minutes. The Lone Star Grill and Cantina and the Black Orchid were only 5 minutes and both had a fun atmosphere and good food and drinks. We always stay in villas when we travel with a group for the privacy and this did not disappoint. The house also had 2 large flat screen TVs if you want to catch up on anything in the states, but we didn't use them much. It also has free wifi which was very fast and convenient for checking email and facetime with kids back home. We had a great time at Villa Incommunicada!"

  • Wanted to stay all winter!

"Condo C4 at Grand Caribe is terrific place to stay in Ambergris Caye. I visited Belize with my girlfriend & brother (we're active folks in our 60s). We had a blast - from snorkeling to cave-tubing to climbing Mayan ruins to feasting on Belizean cuisine: it was a 5 star week! The condo was super-comfortable & tastefully decorated to the point that we actually felt more like residents than guests. The Cases have equipped the condo with just about everything you could need (we were glad we didn't have need to make use of the extensive rainy-day activity book :-). The Grand Caribe staff is friendly & helpful - from the desk to the activities concierge to the restaurant staff & house keeping. Nancy Case was especially helpful - answering our questions & giving us local tips for our stay. We'll be back & recommend it highly!"

  • Excellent location for a relaxing vacation

"My husband and I stayed here as a birthday get away. The condo was just as described and pictured. You are literally steps away from the ocean and the view is fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. For those interested in doing yoga, there is a great location down the beach at Ak'Bol's that offers daily yoga and great smoothies. There are several great restaurants within walking location including Aji's and the new Rain restaurant. The only downside to the great location is that the beach is a main thoroughfare with people riding bikes. Also, there is no full divider on the patio between the two condo units so privacy is diminished if someone in the next unit is also enjoying their patio. Also, the hot tubs in the resort are not well maintained. However, it is a great destination for relaxing and the snorkeling can't be beat. Make sure to bring bug spray as the mosquitos can be bad especially on the patio at night. Also, bring a flashlight if you want to walk to restaurants in the evening as it is very dark along the beach."

  • the home was awesome, everything you see in the photos about the house and pool are right.

"We loved the place we stayed at, a little dissapointed at how the beaches of San Pedro were kept up. The weather was absolutely perfect and the restaurants were very good, the average price for two and a couple of drinks for each will run you about 80-90 dollars. An avereage hamberger is about 12.00 american money. All in All I would give San Pedro a 6 oout of 10 because I'm a water lover and it let me down."
