"Paula nd Brad, Thank you so much for all your help with the trip! You are the greatest people and easy to work with for renting a house in San Pedro. All your advice made the trip even better!! We absolutely loved your wonderful home, Casa Amarillo in San Pedro. Our family of 4 had plenty of room and the pool and dock were amazing. The trip went so smooth and we were picked up at water taxi dock by your staff and they already had our golf cart waiting in parking lot! On way home, we took Tropic Air and it was so easy and a beautiful scenic trip from the air. (Even with our entire luggage…LOL) My husband now considers himself a fisherman. He was at the dock first thing every morning and even had Lone Star Grill cook his fish for him!! (Great restaurant near the house) We were able to go right from the dock on a snorkeling tour and saw incredible fish, sharks and sea rays in Shark Alley. It was so close to the house and made it a breeze to go on tours from the dock. Loved that the house was south of bridge! The golf cart rides were great adventures and still miss going around town and seeing all the sights. So Much to do in San Pedro and many places to visit!! I snorkeled every day from the dock and relaxed and read my book. VERY relaxing and perfect house for family of 4 and we only used the bottom half of the house. The best food was made by Marfa!! We had Marfa fix us lobster dinner one night and her lobster fritters were amazing (calamari too)!! She fixed our meals at least 3 times and wished I had done it more! We loved going in town on the golf cart and even went to the Palapa Bar north of the bridge and had the best time drinking in the water with a bunch of great friends we met while we were there. Cruz was awesome and played volleyball with the boys and also prepared our fire so we were able to cook s'mores and stare at the beautiful stars by the ocean! It was our favorite vacation by far and the house made it the best! I looked at other houses in San Pedro and still love Casa Amarillo the best as the ac worked great and pool, dock and bar was awesome! House was always kept up and we only wish we could have stayed another week! I will call you soon as need to book for next year! PS: Even "Cookie", the best watch-dog ever, made us feel welcome!! Thanks for everything!! The Boggess Family Southlake TX"Guest: The Boggess Family Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
"This property has everything that you will need for your stay. We found it to be fully stocked with all amenities, the kitchen was great!! My only advice would be, do not try and go down the stairs from the third bedroom loft with even the slightest wet feet or you will find yourself flat at the bottom as I did. HAHAHA You will need a gold cart for traveling back and forth to town as it's too far to walk. If you are divers highly recommend Island Divers operated by Rudy, very professional and they will come pick you up at the dock."Guest: Far north divers Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: November 17, 2013View listing
"We just returned from our wonderful trip to Belize and I'm already missing it. This house was perfect for us and our two teenaged kids, a boy and a girl. Each bedroom has 2 Twin beds that can be separated or kept together as a King. Somehow the beds don't separate if you put them together, so there's no falling through the crack and the beds were very comfy. The views of the gorgeous turquoise colored water were amazing and we loved having our own dock to hang out on. This also made it easy for boats to come pick us up for excursions we booked. We did not rent a golf cart and I really don't think one is necessary. We would take the Coastal Express water taxi when we needed to get into town (only twice). The Mata Grande grocery store is an easy walk and although it's small they have all the basics you need. Next door to the grocery store is Aurora's restaurant. It has great breakfasts and lunch at a very reasonable price. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need, but I do wish it had a basic spice cupboard. Other than that, no complaints. The best part of our stay at Castillo de Arena was having William, the caretaker around. He was at the dock to greet us when our water taxi arrived and was so helpful in giving advice about the island. He showed our teenaged son how to spear fish which was the highlight of his trip and he also showed us the best spots to kayak out to and snorkel. On our second to last night William gave us an awesome coconut demonstration for his coconut rice recipe. He also barbecued some fish and lobster that the guys caught during their spear fishing adventures. We really enjoyed our stay at this house and look forward to returning again, hopefully next year!"Guest: Nancy Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
"This was one of my favorite vacations and I have travelled to many countries in this world! The house is even more beautiful than the website can show. The house was great. Rachel and Sergio did everything in their power to ensure that we had a great trip. A big part of the trip was Genie! Go with Genie!!! He has a lot of different options. In our case Genie picked us up at the pier at our house and entertained us all day. He has first rate equipment for snorkeling. The area are different (Mexico rocks and the reef) so there are vastly different viewing options. We fished, dove for conch and Genie and his guide cooked a feast for us! Eat the curried shrimp at Elvi's and the conch fritters at Caliente! Find the Belizean chocolate shop in town. Go to Fido's and buy art at the galleries inside of this huge structure. Order beautiful mixed drinks and shots, you'll dance even better :) It was a great trip! Go! Have fun!"Guest: Olivia F. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 19, 2014View listing
