  • Wonderful

"We had a wonderful vacation at Sunset Beach. We arrived at the airport and our taxi was there with in minutes. The condo was spotless. Ice was made in the freezer for our first night of cocktails. There is plenty of room in the condo. Nice surprise is we could drink the water and make our own ice. Plenty of sheets, towels, extra blankets and pillows. The pool is nice and we loved the pier. We were out there every night looking at the different fish. The hammocks were an added plus. We appreciated the furniture on our private porch and out on the beach. There is a small market you can walk to for groceries. The prices were very fair compared to the bigger groceries in San Pedro. We do recommend a golf cart. Walking or riding bike into San Pedro was a bit of a hike. We felt very safe and most people were friendly and helpful as we were friendly and respectful. We used SUYA for our excursions and had a great time. Laminae, deep see fishing and snorkeling. Yes we would come back. Only negative for us, was we could not snorkel right off the shore. Quite a bit of boat traffic going south to Hol Chan reserve (LOVE!) and Shark Alley (interesting). We did use the kayak's and had some fun with those. Thanks Diane (upstairs) for all your tips and Beth for your welcome to Sunset Beach. We fell in love with Belize!"

  • Incredible view with large rooms and shared space - Concierge service was exceptional!

"We recently returned from a trip to Ambergris Caye with friends who have never stayed on the island before. Villa Twin Dolphins was a great place to share with other families as each bedroom has its own entrance and private bathroom. The living area and bedrooms are quite large - bigger than what I expected from the pictures. We enjoyed the pool and bar area, as well as the beach front where we watched the kids play soccer with Eddie and George, our concierge team. We had a wonderful experience working with the owner who was very accomodating in giving us details ahead of time to help us get the most out of our stay. Crazee Eddie and Curious George took great care of us. They arranged for golf carts and a taxi for our luggage upon arrival to the airport at San Pedro where they proceeded to take us for a tour of the town to help us get acquainted with where to shop and eat. There were plenty of things they helped arrange to keep us busy including a dive lesson, snorkeling, cave tour, Myan Ruin tour including a private boat and van ride. The guys caught fish right off the dock (which is in need of repair but it is not owned by VTD) and Eddie also arranged a fishing trip one of the days we were there. Our favorite part was relaxing by (and in) the pool. I highly recommend VTD for anyone looking for a private get-away. It is about 2.5 miles south of town and the road to get there was pretty bumpy due to some rain but that all adds to the adventure of the week. There is dining and a small grocery store within 5 minutes of the house. I would definitely go back to this home if I was going with a large group of people again. The place comfortably accomodated 12 people. Thank you to David, Eddie, George and Ralf for an unforgetable family vacation!"

"I highly recommend sunset condo. Every aspect of our stay here was great. The condo has amazing views and was much larger than the pictures showed. We had 7 in our party and never felt a bit cramped."

  • Great house just too far north

"We stayed last week for a work retreat, and the house was great!! Lots of privacy, excellent caretakers, great common space, and they provide everything you need. However, we were led to believe it was "just north" of San Pedro, when in reality it is a few miles into town. Also, the pool was leaking (listened to a jackhammer one entire afternoon) and the hot tub only worked if Martin rigged it. But the worst part is the bugs. Our entire crew was eaten alive, and we wore bug spray every single day. This isn't necessarily the owners fault (although maybe fog would help?), but wanted to make people aware."
