  • Awesome Accommodations

"We just returned home from Belize and stayed at this location (Casa Hokolkin). I have ALL positive things to say about this house, this location, and the grounds. First, the house is awesome, clean, and decorated nicely. We had a party of 12 (5 adults, 2 teenagers, 5 kids). The kids ages were 11, 6, 4, and 1. We were able to use a pack n play and a high chair provided by Caye Management, which was very nice and clean. All ages had a blast! The house is very roomy and all bathrooms were very clean and accessible. The children had an awesome time playing on the beach and in the beautiful pool, as well as fishing and snorkeling off the Palapa. Loren, the owner was available for questions via email and provided us with clean water, a kayak, fins, and numerous beach towels. The pool is beautiful and steps from the house. The children had a blast swimming. Los Encontos has four homes, which were each rented. The pool was plenty large enough to accommodate all guests with ease. The groundskeepers were very helpful, quick to respond and hard workers. Rachel cooked us a fabulous meal and did some of our laundry per our request. We rented golf carts to get us to town. Los Encontos is located about 4.5 miles N of San Pedro. It took us about 30 minutes on the Golf Carts to get to town. The roads are bumpy, but we considered this an adventure. We ate at some great restaurants that were close by the home. In response to the comment from "Texas," we never had an issue with the water supply. Rachel did ask us to keep in mind the supply is from the rainwater and to not leave it on when not in use. If 12 of us can use the water daily, I think it is a non issue if not abused. I recommend this home to all. It made our stay in Belize memorable and comfortable. Thank you to Loran and the groundskeepers for attending to our every need. Lastly, for those concerned about getting to your destination once arriving, it was seemless. We had taxis and water taxis waiting for us. Our driver was ready to greet us, allowed us a stop at the grocery, and we were on our way to the home. It was perfect and much needed after a long day of travel with small kids:)"

  • Casa Bonita - 2014 Belize Saltwater Flyfishing Trip

"We recently stayed at the Casa Bonita for our annual boys flyfishing trip. The accomodations were perfect for our group, and provided a nice space for the adventure. The rooms all had A/C that worked good, and cooking facilities so we could prepare our own meals when we wanted to. The caretaker and his wife were attentive and very helpful for anything that we needed, and kept the house clean, tidy and secure while we were out. We had access to a pier out our backdoor and caught plenty of bonefish right there in the morning and evenings."

  • Wonnderful trip celebrating 40th birthday

"We just returned from a FANTASTIC trip to Belize. We loved everything about the house. There were 7 adults in our party and we felt that the house was perfect for this size group. We could have privacy or hang out as a group in the large living room area. we loved having a pool to relax in after snorkling, dinner or wandering around the streets of San Pedro. Alfred and Diane mad the trip just perfect. Diane is a fantastic cook and the meals were very affordable. We had Diane prepare a Welcome meal on our day of arrival and its was fabulous. There cost of the meal was much less than if we all had traveled to a restaurant for the evening and MUCH BETTER. Alfred was johnny on the spot. He arranged all our boats to go snorkeling, to other islands, fishing, grocery delivery or just a water taxi into town. It was so convenient to have a dock where all the boats would pick us up for the day. Alfred and Diane are really top notch. THANK YOU! we will definitely return to Belize and most definitely stay at the Beautiful Bajamar house again."

  • Don't Stay Any Other Place!

"Just returned home after a fantastic holiday stay in Brenda's condo with our family. After exploring much of the island it was uniformly agreed that there is no better place we could have booked our vacation. The resort is in the process of adding gym, spa and restaurant facilities on site and if we were in the position to consider owning a piece of paradise the Grand Caribe would be first choice. The unit is exactly as described with beautiful views of the Caribbean from the master bedroom, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of space for the 5 of us (with one person on the pull out couch - typically (un)comfortable). The resort is the perfect distance from San Pedro and we even walked into town a couple of times (a 45 minute walk) instead of using the water taxi or golf cart. The staff was helpful and friendly at all times and go out of their way to assist in carrying groceries or making reservations. But it does seem that all of the islanders share this welcoming attitude. You can not pass anyone without getting a wave or "hello". The food was uniformly wonderful everywhere we ate although Aji right next door to Grand Caribe is beautiful amidst the palms and twinkling lights. And Melt Café for breakfast has great huevos rancheros."
