"My family of 14 spent 10 days at the Villa. The villa was large enough to comfortably accommodate all of us. There were a few items that could be replaced that are a bit worn. The hammocks were pretty worn, one was torn and unusable. The first floor couch with bed was not usable. The frame needs replacement. The kitchens had pretty much all that is needed for our stay. If you want to snorkel from the dock it really is too shallow and not much to see, the kayaks were great to use. There was a nightly visit from a very large raccoon which made it a little nerve wracking to go outside in the dark. The caretaker German and Champ were very helpful and friendly. We had a great first night dinner prepared by German's wife. Champ brought my delayed luggage right to the house after a three day delay somewhere with United Airlines. We had a fun day on the water with German and his crew, snorkling, and spear fishing. One large thing I am still waiting to hear from the owners on my security deposit. I have emailed the owners multiple times with no response."Guest: Karen Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: January 26, 2015View listing
"Upon our arrival by boat to the dock, we were instantly impressed. This home gives everyone their privacy. We were a family with grown children, there is lots of room to spread out. The furniture was comfortable, the wifi worked good, there were lots of towels, and beach towels. The caretakers, Martin & Lupe are true gems. They were there to help whenever needed, but gave us our privacy. The house and yard is very well maintained. The pool and hot tub were spotless. The kitchen is well stocked for a bigger group. For us the golf carts were the best way to get around, the road is being fixed up, and was in pretty good shape when we were there, and they were lots of fun. For a family with young kids, you should know that 2 of the bedrooms are downstairs outside the main house on the other side of the breezeway. These rooms can be rented out independently. Our only concern was the tile outside, it was extremely slippery when it was wet, a constant worry that someone might slip. We would definitely recommend this home. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"Guest: A Relaxing Stay Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: January 9, 2015View listing
"Just spent a week in San Pedro at Sunset Beach #A6 and our stay couldn't have been any better. Condo unit was great with everything we needed. Great location as short distance away from town and felt secure and safe entire visit. Visited at low season and loved the timing with less traffic everywhere we went. Onsite caretaker was great and we saw him everyday on the property for anything we needed or questions we had. Notebook in the condo has lots of great info. Tour company across the street took such good care of us on the excursions we took while there (reef fishing, snorkeling, Mayan ruins and cave tubing), and their guides were top notch. Thanks so much! Tom & Julie"Guest: Julie N Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 14, 2014View listing
"We LOVED our stay here at the Grand Caribe - but more importantly this unit in particular is one of the best. There are only 2 buildings that look out directly on the ocean; Building A looks out at the pier, whereas Building H (this one) has no blocked view and is more private. The icing on the cake is that the interior is beautifully decorated and since it is a ground floor unit the pool is only a step away! Honestly, the only other unit I would ever rent would be the penthouse in Building H if I had a larger group. This unit, with two bedrooms and two baths, was perfect for our family of 5. Regarding the Grand Caribe - it is beautiful and is known for its customer service. The front desk was always helpful and responsive. Though there are some other resorts up and down Ambergris Caye, we liked GC for two reasons. First, the ones closer to San Pedro are older and just not as nice (our swimming pooled ROCKED). Second, the ones that are further up make you compromise the distance into town with a golf cart. So GC was the perfect compromise. We went into town 3 times during our 7 day stay so proximity was important. Other times, we had water taxis/boats pick us up at the GC pier to take us to different outings."Guest: Team Karim Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 28, 2014View listing
