"The Belize Island Beach House is a tranquil place to get away from it all! We spent most of our time lounging on the dock or out on the front porch just taking in the scenery and enjoying the awesome sea breeze. The home is very comfortable and is equipped with everything needed to disconnect from the world for awhile, but also to stay connected if needed (i.e. WIFI). We really loved the positive atmosphere and family-oriented games and reading materials available. Additionally, the on-site property manager was very accessible and willing to help in any way necessary."Guest: Scott and Melissa Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 4, 2014View listing
"One of our best vacations ever!!! Nancy was very helpful, as well as, the desk and concierge staff. The condo itself is decorated very tastefully and beds very comfortable. The new restaurant on site "Rain" was just excellent....the perfect blend of good food at good prices and wonderful ambiance. The small convenience store, spa and ice cream shop is opening very soon which will make it possible to never have a need to leave the resort if you do not want."Guest: Colleen L. "We decide to take our annual vacation in Belize this August. My family and I definitely enjoyed it. We stayed at the Bamboo House villa and had an amazing experience. It is the place to be especially if you want to experience the real natural feel of Belize on an island. It was a home away from home for us. When we arrived, the Cook Camila had surprised us with some shrimp ceviche, Belizean stew chicken and coconut rice which were delicious. Yvette the new property manager showed us our rooms and the layout of the villa, while Edwin the grounds manager took our luggage to the rooms we chose to stay. Everyone there was so welcoming and most helpful to us. The rooms were cleaned every day by the house keeper. Edwin would take some of us in town once a day on Bamboo House golf cart to get whatever we need, and sometimes we would use the bicycles and ride around to get a better feel of the island. The grounds were beautiful with white sand that you can walk around barefoot. The security at Bamboo House was more than enough, especially since we had small kids. The pool is located on the second floor deck that is ten feet high and the Palapa on the first floor was perfect to sit under and enjoy the view of the lagoon. When we were not at the villa, we were touring the town by the golf carts we rented and enjoying drinks and conversation with locals and other tourists at the nearby lounge, bars and restaurants (Kama lounge, The Palapa, Ak’Bol and Molly’s restaurant and Irish pub to name a few). We went snorkeling, diving and visited Mayan Ruins that Yvette helped organized for us. That was surely the upside of having everyday assistance. The heat was definitely on in San Pedro which made the rain water showers perfect for a cool down after a hot day. A piece of advice, do not forget bug spray, you are in the Caribbean, with that said; it will be all smooth sailing and one awesome vacation. We enjoyed our time in San Pedro, and staying at Bamboo House villa definitely gave us the tropical Caribbean feel of our vacation. When you want the experience of nature, relaxation and fun, BamBoo House Belize would be a place I recommend. It is as close of just half mile from town for when you want the party scene, but far enough to get the peace and quiet for your relaxation."Guest: Jeannie S. "We just returned from a FANTASTIC trip to Belize. We loved everything about the house. There were 7 adults in our party and we felt that the house was perfect for this size group. We could have privacy or hang out as a group in the large living room area. we loved having a pool to relax in after snorkling, dinner or wandering around the streets of San Pedro. Alfred and Diane mad the trip just perfect. Diane is a fantastic cook and the meals were very affordable. We had Diane prepare a Welcome meal on our day of arrival and its was fabulous. There cost of the meal was much less than if we all had traveled to a restaurant for the evening and MUCH BETTER. Alfred was johnny on the spot. He arranged all our boats to go snorkeling, to other islands, fishing, grocery delivery or just a water taxi into town. It was so convenient to have a dock where all the boats would pick us up for the day. Alfred and Diane are really top notch. THANK YOU! we will definitely return to Belize and most definitely stay at the Beautiful Bajamar house again."Guest: lisa r. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 10, 2014View listing
