"We were a group of five couples on our first trip to Belize, and we chose The Blue Dolphin because it fit our budget and needs. Everything was great. We really enjoyed all the amenities of the house. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. Plenty of room for 10 adults to roam throughout the house. We loved the outside covered decks and all the different deck tables and chairs for us to relax at different times of the day. The pool was nice to cool off. Having our own dock was nice to fish off of, and/or to do our yoga exercises in the morning. Plus, getting picked up right from our dock for scuba excursions was great! Armando and Gloria were really nice and did anything we asked to make our stay the most comfortable. Gloria's cooking was really good too. We arranged to have two golf carts for our trip which were waiting for us when we arrived. Our hosts, Mark and Joan were super nice and catered to anything we needed, but the house came super stocked with everything, so we didn't really need anything else during our stay.
All in all, we had a wonderful trip and we hope someday make it back to the Blue Dolphin and Belize. Overall, it was Unbelizable! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to relax or cram in everything you wanted to do on vacation. Thank you Mark, Joan, Gloria & Armando for making our vacation great!!"

"Lovely villa in very friendly and laid back Belize. Everything was done by the owner to ensure a smooth vacation with all our transport needs and individual requests being catered for to make us feel pampered. We particularly appreciated the fresh flowers in every room and the stocked refridgerater on arrival. The villa location was perfect for San Pedro and all boat trips were very easy from the pier next to the house. We felt very at home.
Unfortunately, our stay was affected by construction work from 7am until 4pm every day, including Sunday, on the next door property. The constant sound of a drill, hammering and circular saw noises spoiled our relaxation time by the pool, as did the smell from the Sargusa weed blight. Although the weed on the shoreline was cleared everyday by the villa staff, the smell of hydrogen sulphide improved but was always present. The whole of the Mexican and Belizian coast has had this issue. Neither of these issues was under the control of the owner who was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and in providing a wealth of useful information on Ambergis Caye and Belize. Dennis even helped us with our prior booking in San Ingnacio.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our Adagio stay and we would have rated it as 5 star but for the external issues identified."

"Spacious, yet comfy complete with all modern amenities, villa 8D has it all. A large balcony to watch the sunrise and listen to the waves awaits you everyday. A relaxing pool is also available if one chooses it over the warm ocean. Placencia has anything a tourist could want from shopping, to adventure to great eats along with friendly people! Don't forget to stop for gelato! The owners of villa 8D are great and easy to get along with and try to ensure you have the best vacation possible!"

"My family & I (two adults & two kids ages 13 & 10) visited Sarkiki in April 2015. The drive from the airport is quiet long but the views are well worth it. We would recommend renting a car (we did) that way you can explore what the country has to offer. We were the only ones there for three days of our stay which was great! Linda was super easy to work with and answered every question we had in a timely fashion (usually within hours)! The staff are just awesome - Epi, Lisa, Manuel, Ruben, Gregory, the list goes on and on. You need anything just ask and you will get it! When we got there they showed us unit 5 which only had two beds. We had asked Linda ahead of time for a unit that could accommodate an extra twin bed. When we mentioned this to Epi he hopped right on it and we ended up with Unit 6. It was perfect. Rooms are large & the beds were very comfortable. There is only AC in the bedrooms which took us a bit by surprise but there is a fan in the living area which helped make it a little more comfortable when inside. We asked Epi for a second fan and he showed right up with it. You'll spend most of your time outside. There was a constant breeze which made it lovely to just sit by the pool and see the ocean. The beach was dirty and there was a TON of seaweed. But the staff raked it up every morning right in front of the resort. Because of the seaweed we did not venture out into the ocean. We would have loved to snorkle but the sea was a bit rough the entire time we were there. Epi arranged a snorkle trip with Patrick (he works at the local Marina) but we had to cancel it because the sea was rough. We ate mostly in but did go out for a few meals. We ate at Frog's, Tina's kitchen, Chef Rob's, Belizean Dreams, and a pizza joint right on the main road in Hopkins. All were tasty and we would recommend all of them. We shopped at Happy Store (takes credit cards) & Dong Lee's (cash only). It wasn't what we expected but we were able to get by between the two of them. We also found a bigger grocery store in Belmopan which we shopped at a few times. As far of activities we cave tubed at St. Herman's Cave (highly recommend), went to the Mayan ruins (ask Epi for a suggestion as to which one to visit), and rented dune buggy's from Woogie Buggy (right in town). Lastly, Alvin, Epi & Lisa's son was just charming! Smart and super funny! Super happy that we got to spend 4 days with him. Views=stunning!"
