"The house is in fair repair. The ceiling fan in our room did not function. The bed was really hard and creaked loudly with every movement. It was bad enough that I began sleeping on the single bed in the room so my wife and I could sleep. The grounds were well kept but the beach was a mess with really smelly rotting seaweed for the entire length of the property. This would be a lot to clean up but well worth it by the looks of the proprties that have done so. Thank goodness there is a dock and a boat to get out to the good water by the reef. One stand up paddle board no longer had a fin on the bottom and 1 of the tandem kayaks did not have seat cushions or a back rest. The fuel in Belize is expensive so plan to add an extra $500 or so for boat fuel for the week if you are planning to do a lot of trips to snorkel or go to town. The staff are pleasant and professional. Sarge was an awesome guide for the snorkel trips and is HIGHLY recommended. The snorkeling was amazing. Mexico Rocks and Shark/Ray alley should be on your list. Zuly is an amazing cook. I would recommend that you get a grocery list from Zuly on what she needs. It will be worth it!! If fishing is your thing I would suggest getting a guide outfit in town as the boat was too small for our party to get to the better areas.
Overall we had a great trip and hope to return to Belize for more great snorkeling."

"My husband and I stayed at Casa Arena for the month of February in 2015. This was our first trip to Belize and first experience with a VRBO! The accommodations were perfect, as was the location! Milo and Mini were truly gracious hosts and made our first foray into the VRBO world a memorable one. You simply could not ask for a better location, central to shopping and restaurants, and the best beach front anywhere in town. We ended up showing the rental to several people who would stop and ask about it because it was so perfect!! We would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for adventure or just to relax (like we did!)."

"We stayed at this fantastic house for a week in March 2015. It was a quick drive from the Placencia airport which is always a bonus. The rooms were all very large with ensuites and all beds were very comfortable. The living areas were huge with satellite tv and internet and could fit tons of people. The kitchen was fantastic and equipped with absolutely everything. The house has large areas of deck space and areas to relax if you need some quiet time. There is gated security and we always felt safe anywhere we went anyway. The pool area at the adjoining resort was beautiful and fairly quiet which was fantastic...never had to get there early to fight for a good spot. A tandem skydive school/jump site was right on the beach for anyone looking for extra thrills. Local restaurants are close and absolutely delicious and there is even a bowling alley just down the road. We were there with our two teenagers and absolutely enjoyed everything about our trip. I would highly recommend this great house to anyone."

"We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable week at Barnacle Bills. We spent most of our time eating, drinking and hanging out under our very own beach huts. Some great restaurants, bars and a bowling alley within walking distance. The way the bungalos are built make for a perfect breeze flowing through the house. Not to mention waking up to the gorgeous sunrise. We enjoyed our daily morning coffees chatting with Bill. Bill and Adriane were very helpful hosts and we hope to go back!"
