  • Everything we needed

"The apartment was perfect for a home base. Located far enough from downtown to be quiet but it was also walking distance to markets, bakery, restaurants and bars. Very well equipped with everything you would need...loved that bottled water and beach towels were supplied. Communication with the owner was a breeze...right from inquiring about the property to our arrival back home."

  • ahhhhh Belize.....

"I've been to this resort three times in the last 10 years. The last time here at Christmas 2012 was the best. We went as a large group--'family vacation'. My family stayed in this unit and it really is one of the best on the property. Right ON the beach and with direct access out the front door of the condo! Also, its located on a quiet part of the resort--but still very close (1 min) to the main building where the bar/restauarnt is located. The condo is very comfortable and decorated authentically to the country/Region. Robert's Grove has upgraded several areas making it more attractive. The onsite restaurant offers great breakfasts, lunch and dinner and it's a fun and intimate spot to have a 6 pm cocktail at the bar before dinner! The second restaurant is Mexican and is also great! The resort can set up many tours including Monkey River, fishing and so on. We had a fantastic family vacation here--it's perfect for a large group or for some 'down time' as a couple. The bonus is that the town of Placencia is only 4 miles away and you can rent bikes (or get a taxi) to ride to town for shopping and other eating spots. We will be going back to Belize and to this spot!"

  • We are coming back!

"We had a few challenges the first few days Of our arrival, but Dan immediately took care of it. It was our home for two weeks. The property is conveniently located, lots of places to eat and the grocery store is available nearby should you decide to cook your own meals. The place is so private with awesome view. Most of the time we just relax by the deck or the verandah. Lots of different species of birds visited the property, saw a crocodile once and the manatees came by a few days while we were there. The bed is very comfortable, we slept good right from the first day. Very relaxing and calming place! The kayak and bicycle is a great addition, just wish that the kayak is for two. The Indian restaurant, Tiger, is not to be missed! Thank you Dan and Danille for sharing your home with us! Bill is already talking about coming back next year."

  • Beautiful Resort!

"My husband and I visited Hopkins and stayed at Sarkiki Reef with 3 other couples. The eaccommodations are well designed, spacious, comfortable, clean and have amazing views from the decks. We loved the pool which is salt based and a lovely beach with a safe, shallow shore line. The people of Belize and Hopkins in particular are friendly and unlike larger resorts where you are closed off from the local community we felt like part of the community. Linda & Mike (and Cam) offer invaluable advice as to where to eat and who to connect with for various excursions. Manuel who works at Sarkiki is happy to be a guide on his days off and his brother Epi and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are needing to watch a sporting event then Sittee River Marina which is near by is a great place to go with good food and cheep beer. It's also where we left from to go snorkelling with Patrick. I'm glad we spent 2 weeks because it always takes a few days to get the lay of the land when it's a first visit to a foreign place. We would recommend renting a car (we used Crystal Car Rentals) and though the highways are pretty good be prepared for rough roads (and mud if it rains) around the smaller towns. We would highly recommend the tubing in the caves (at Blue Hole) with the group that Cameron at Sarkiki set us up with - I was a little concerned with the idea of being in a cave, but I didn't have a problem at all :) We also loved Chef Rob's and Love on the Rocks restaurants (same owners for both) and when our Dutch cousins discovered they served dutch croquets (limited clientele) well we had to go and we devoured them :) All in all we would highly recommend Sarkiki - Mike and Linday and staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and worry free. Thanks to everyone there!"
