  • Great House

"We loved this artsy house very much. It was centrally located for us to be able to do numerous tours and even the tour companies picked us up with the house. San Ignacio itself is tiny. Preston and Ricky were great in handling our stay and helped with any questions we had. Very easy!"

  • Sunset Pointe Placencia, a highlight of our trip to belize

"We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Placencia...the condo was just as described ...beautiful and clean! The on-site manager was polite, respectful, very helpful and accomodating! The location is perfect with wonderful views from two breezy decks, a great pool and a short walk or quick ride to town! It was the best of both worlds...Fransisco helped us with anything we needed while we were there and our booking couldn't have been easier...the owners graciously worked with us to make a slight change to our lodging due to some outside work begin completed. Took a wonderful tour of the howler Monkeys that started by boat at Sunset Point. The guide was fantastic! We definitely would recommend Sunset Pointe for both couples or families as the two bedrooms each with their own bathroom gave us plenty of personal space and the second bedroom would be perfect for a couple with children. The owner was very gracious in helping us to make arrangement prior to our arrival in Placencia with wonderful advice which we heeded. Belize is a quite a place and we have many more spots that we want to discover so we will be going back again sometime next year. Thanks again for your hospitality and the friendly atmosphere we enjoyed at Sunset. Hope to see you again! Take care, GW & MW-Hampton, NH, USA"

  • Casa Bonita - 2014 Belize Saltwater Flyfishing Trip

"We recently stayed at the Casa Bonita for our annual boys flyfishing trip. The accomodations were perfect for our group, and provided a nice space for the adventure. The rooms all had A/C that worked good, and cooking facilities so we could prepare our own meals when we wanted to. The caretaker and his wife were attentive and very helpful for anything that we needed, and kept the house clean, tidy and secure while we were out. We had access to a pier out our backdoor and caught plenty of bonefish right there in the morning and evenings."

  • Will be back!

"Just got back from our stay at the Grand Caribe and am missing Ambergris Caye already! We stayed 12 days in this beautiful condo and had the option of renting it as a 2 bedroom. The resort is first class, staff are more than willing to help you with all your needs. The maids cleaned the condo daily including doing the dishes, laundry and mopping the floors. Everything at the resort is clean and well maintained, we even saw the staff rake and clean the beach area twice daily. The resort is one of the few on the island where you can walk in and swim right from the beach. We also enjoyed snorkeling right off the dock. Love the location of this resort and in our opinion, one of the nicest north of the bridge. You are far away enough from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro yet close enough to bike or hike into town. The resort is also close to a lot of good restaurants. We highly recommend Ak-bol yoga retreat resort, a two minute walk south for their restaurant and if you enjoy yoga, they have classes at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day. The prices were great as well, $4 U.S. for 3 chicken salbutes! Try the pizza too, it is amazing ? Also, close by is the Lazy Croc, Aji’s and Capricorn. All have great atmospheres right on the beach. We did visit the Palapa Bar about 5 min. south down the beach, a lot of fun, and if you are hungry try the slow cooked pulled pork. We rented bikes for our entire stay at Maya House bike rentals just a short walk south from the resort. We found this to be our mode of transportation as we enjoyed the exercise and exploring riding up and down the beach path. One day we rode 45 minutes north of the resort and to our surprise found Xtan Ha beach. Most beautiful beach, no seaweed, beautiful blue Caribbean and white sand. They have tables in the water where you can eat or enjoy a cool topical drink. Snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine reserve and Shark Ray alley is a must. If you are not to keen on snorkeling, you can take the glass bottom boat. One day we took the water taxi into Belize city and hired a taxi to take us to the Zoo. Great to see the Jaguars and other native animals in their natural environment. Tips: In San Pedro, Belize Chocolate factory, chocolate chip cookies and brownies, mmm! Eat at Mesa Café #1 restaurant on Tripadvisor but only open 9-5. LOTS to see and do on this island and close by, even golf on a nearby island, ask locals, front desk or get a travel book. Tacogirl.com offers discounts for Tropic Air."
