  • End of the Road

"Sunset Point is literally at the end of the road after going through Placencia Village. The condo's are nice and clean and the caretaker is easy to work with and very helpful. Down side is it's nearly a mile walk to the village on a dirt road if you don't have a vehicle. There is a nice saltwater pool but no swimming access to the ocean or lagoon. You will have to get to the village for ocean access but the beach is great and there are lot's of places to eat and keep yourself busy. We where there for 14 days but some of the condo's changed occupants several times so you never know who will be next door or in our case above you. For the most part people where friendly and considerate. Wi-fi is spotty with a couple of outages while we were there. You can always go into the village and take advantage of many restaurants free wi-fi. There is a new condo being built across the canal so there was lot's of construction noise from 7am to 5pm week days. We had a good time and will go back to Placencia someday but will probably stay on the beach next time."

  • The perfect house

"6 of us adults rented casa de Paradiso for 10 days. We use VRBO as often as possible in our travels and have stayed in some wonderful homes, but this home was exceptional in all respects. From our initial contact with the owners to our departure we were treated exceedingly well and personally. Since there were 6 of us with fishing gear and luggage we opted for a boat charter from Tropic Ferry which picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the Palapa Bar which is just a few yards from the house. We were met by the homes caretaker, Orlando, who is a definite asset to the rental. He is available, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and a wonderful source of information and suggestions. The views from the porche is breathtaking and was the part of the house we used the most. The washer and dryer were a huge bonus as were the pol and the grill. The location for us was everything we could have hoped for as we had easy access up and down the beach path to both swimming and eating. Although the house is wonderfully equipped with all your kitchen needs we only ate breakfast there as it is actually cheaper to eat out than to buy food. Food is VERY expensive to buy in the few available stores in town. Getting into town was easy- just call a cab. It's $30 Belizian one way, but since we didn't go into town very go into town very often it was cheaper than renting a golf cart by the week. We can't say enough good things about this home except that it is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. A big than you to the owners for making and creating a most wonderful restful "home away from home" for us and a heartfelt thank you to Orlando for all he did for us during our stay. We plan on using this house again next year."

  • Made us feel welcome

"Margie and I want to thank you for making us feel welcome from day one, the Penthouse was great and we had great views from the roof. You always treated us as friends rather than renters and always showed interest in our safety and if we felt at home. The first few days when walking around Corozal we would say its time to head back to the penthouse but by the end of the first week we were saying its time to head home. We really liked the fact that we could walk to get groceries, fresh produce and lunch. We felt very safe no matter where we walked and were very surprised how friendly the people were. Best Regards and many thanks. Margie & Jerry"
