"Thanks for your hospitality. We had a great time to stay at your house. Listing description was "under-promised and over-delivered". Great lagoon location (literally I could fish from the deck), quiet, safe, very clean and well-maintained place. The manager took a very good care of us. Everything was good, easy and in place., NO COMPLAINS AT ALL. I would definitely recommend this place to our friends."

  • Honeymoon in Belize

"My (now) wife and I just back from our honeymoon in Placencia and we're already hoping to get back as quickly as we can! Placencia is definitely off the beaten path and it will take a little extra traveling to get there, but it's well worth it. The people are wonderful, the food excellent and you have the flexibility to either take it easy or go on an adventure with a tour agency (we went up to the ATM cave with Pirate's Point Adventure Tours and Shane was excellent) or book through Francisco, who works at the condo and can help arrange most tours if you ask him. If you go fishing and decide to keep your catch, a place called The Shak has a "you hook it, we cook it" option - unfortunately we found out about that too late, so weren't able to take advantage of it. The condo itself was excellent. It's a bit large for only two people, but that didn't detract from our stay. Having the pool on site was also a big plus. The condo is at the very end of the peninsula, which makes it an ideal location if you want a quiet place to stay. You do have the option to rent a bike or golf cart to get to and from the main part of the village; we walked most of the time and didn't have any issues. (If you're looking got do some inland adventures, most tour agencies can arrange transportation. Yes, you will pay for it, but it is worth it.) It's maybe a 5-10 minute walk and, even during the hottest part of the day, it wasn't unbearable. We are very happy that we stayed here and would recommend this location to anyone else looking to visit Placencia."

  • Great vacation

"We had 4 couples staying at the Tipsy Gecko for a week and we all loved it. Domingo prepared wonderful meals and we ate at the Green Parrot most of the rest of the time since about everything else was closed while we were there. We would highly recommend the Green Parrot for meals. We rented a car for one day and went to the waterfall which is a must. Splash took us on a great snorkeling trip. The golf cart was an asset and we used it to take us everywhere else. Most restaurants and shops were closed during October but it was very peaceful and quiet."

  • ahhhhh Belize.....

"I've been to this resort three times in the last 10 years. The last time here at Christmas 2012 was the best. We went as a large group--'family vacation'. My family stayed in this unit and it really is one of the best on the property. Right ON the beach and with direct access out the front door of the condo! Also, its located on a quiet part of the resort--but still very close (1 min) to the main building where the bar/restauarnt is located. The condo is very comfortable and decorated authentically to the country/Region. Robert's Grove has upgraded several areas making it more attractive. The onsite restaurant offers great breakfasts, lunch and dinner and it's a fun and intimate spot to have a 6 pm cocktail at the bar before dinner! The second restaurant is Mexican and is also great! The resort can set up many tours including Monkey River, fishing and so on. We had a fantastic family vacation here--it's perfect for a large group or for some 'down time' as a couple. The bonus is that the town of Placencia is only 4 miles away and you can rent bikes (or get a taxi) to ride to town for shopping and other eating spots. We will be going back to Belize and to this spot!"
