"Just got back from our trip to Belize with some friends and felt I had to write a review on our on our wonderful stay in unit C4 of Grand Caribe. We've travelled a lot and rented many condos and homes. I'd say this condo is probably the most comfortable and beautiful one I've seen. The condo had absolutely everything we needed with a magnificent view. Pure luxury!
Although we hardly used it, there is a TV in every room. The kitchen is equipped with the most modern appliances, utensils etc., and a safe where we stored our valuables was also available. The best is the room and laundry service - so wonderful to come back to a spotlessly clean condo. My husband caught fish off the end of the jetty as well as a fishing trip and we enjoyed so many meals around the table with our friends who shared the condo with us.
The staff at Grand Caribe are amazing. We organized tours with the desk downstairs and they chose the best of the best to take us out on our snorkeling and fishing trips. When not touring the Island or going out on a trip, we spent time around the pool with it's fabulous swim up bar. Everything from the condo to the service was top notch. We enjoyed a meal at Capricorn, went to the Palapa Bar hanging over the ocean and had custard ice-cream in town as well as many other outings. The best was our snorkeling trip with "Candyman" from Tuff E Nuff tours.
It was all spectacular."

"I am not going to repeat the other detailed reviews that rave about this wonderful Villa... It's all true...
Let me just state that Sally does EVERRYTHING to make sure that you enjoy your stay.. The communication was superb and, frankly, I abused her email hospitality by asking all sorts of general questions not related to the Villa. Because of Sally and her candid information, we were able to purchase a Villa on Ambergris Caye ..
Sally; heartfelt thanks for being a mentor when we needed one. Again, I don't need to repeat all of the glowing praise for this Villa.... It's all true.. We "couldn't" have purchased another Villa so quickly without Sally's help.
We were there in February 2015"

"Oh! I could write a book! The VERY best thing about this house was William. His heart and soul as caretaker of this house really shines as he works so hard keeping busy with the day to day responsibilities of keeping up with such a property. Williams hustle along with constant availability to us gave us a lot of confidence that all was well. He's just an all-around nice guy whom we appreciated greatly. We all loved him. The owners of this property are very fortunate to have him. Of course the beautiful sand, blue waters, private pier and having a cool and very clean house was a plus as well! The furniture, beds, bathroom, kitchen was all super clean and made our stay most comfortable. William pulled out the Cornhole game for us and played plenty of games that was so much fun. One of the little things about this house that impressed this West Texas girl was the water hole at the front steps filled with clean water to wash sand from your feet before entering the house. A super cool feature I wish I had at my own house! Another thing I noticed when I walked in was how it looked in person compared to the site's photos. It looks sharper, cleaner and more comfortable and homey than the photos on a computer screen can convey. My kids loved the view from the roof where we spent several evening moments enjoying the weather and scenery. We all truly loved this house and did not want to leave!"

"I had the chance to spend some time at the Maine Stay recently and had a very difficult time leaving. The property has three units; the unit we stayed in is two beautiful Mennonite houses with a complete kitchen attached by a deck to one another. Each unit has its own bathroom and the bedroom unit also had a laundry room. The level of detail and care apparent in these places is remarkable as is the attention paid by Karen and her staff - predominantly Hector and Joyce. The bedroom unit has its own coffee maker and fridge so I could enjoy sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee without waking up my family in the kitchen/bedroom unit. I have stayed in self-catering units before but I have never encountered such a well-appointed kitchen. I love to cook and everything we needed to make a fabulous meal of fresh lobster was there. Oh and fabulous wifi!
The grounds themselves are beautiful and the units are positioned so that each unit has more than sufficient privacy
I was lazy and read on the beach - beautiful white sand - but if you want more activity there are kayaks, canoes, bikes, board games, books, and more. I'm sure I've missed something. The property is a short drive to Placencia village for those wanting to shop or dine but far enough for to ensure a quiet, peaceful beach.
There was always someone around during the day if we needed them and in the evening there is security at the gates - although I never felt like we needed it.
Bottom line - I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is the perfect amalgamation of luxury and privacy while allowing you whatever level of self-sufficiency you might want. My husband wasn't able to join us but you can bet I will be bringing him back as soon as I can manage."
