  • Worth it if you are on a budget.

"Great location for easy access to the beach. Most people head for Horseshoe Bay, but if you keep going left once you hit the beach, you will be treated to beautiful and secluded coves. If you go right, you will hit the Fairmont which is a decent place to get a beach side drink. The neighborhood felt very safe and it was fairly easy to get a cab (however, the numbers left on the dry erase board never answered or were unavailable after calling two days in a row so we ended up just walking to the street and hailing one as they passed). The bus is close by and easy to figure out and a great way to get around the island. People are extremely friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask for directions to people you pass in the street or see around in the neighborhood. The WiFi fee is a bit more than 'nominal' at $100 which I think is steep, so make sure you have any information you need before arriving so you aren't relying on the internet to look information up. However, there are pamphlets and magazines about the island laying around that can be helpful. The kitchen had a horrible smell in it (a door separates the kitchen from the rest of the apartment, so as long as you aren't spending time in the kitchen, you will be fine) and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, but for the price, it was worth it. The water pressure was great and it was always hot and the AC worked well, and the everything was clean. They do provide airport pick up, but the fee they quoted us was a little bit higher than what we paid finding our own cab. When I first emailed inquiring about airport pick up I was told 'We offer round-trip airport transportation for $100' and then when I responded saying I would like it, I was informed "Given your return date, it may be slightly higher than $100 - possibly up to $150." I found this a bit ridiculous since my return date was known before the first quote, and they should have never told me that they offer it for $100 in the first place. Other than that, the Property Manager is great at responding to emails in a prompt manner and sends a lot of information. Overall, nice enough place for a couple or two close friends on a budget who are looking for some laid back beach time and don't mind traveling a bit to get to busier areas of the island."

  • Great location, excellent property, very good people to deal with

"We stayed at Cote D'azure for 6 days on the way back to England from Boston and had a great time. The property is located close to Gibb's lighthouse, which is close to Horeshoe Bay and other fantastic beaches. The apartment is independent of the owners property and has everything you might need with high quality fixtures, fittings and equipment and a self contained garden. There is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop at the Henry V111 pub (decent food) and access everywhere from here. The restaurant at the lighthouse is a minute away and amongst the best for quality and value too. The use of a washer/dryer is very handy and the kitchen is very good, though we found the local restaurants suited us well. The owners gave you complete privacy but went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay; they were very kind and generous - so a big thanks to them. Having had the benefit of exploring the island I can say that we were very pleased to have picked this property and in the owners, Mike and Mary, you can have confidence that you are dealing with decent people - from booking to departure, organising airport collection/drop, they helped in so many ways but I won't cover them all in case it is taken by others as standard."

  • 25th Wedding Anniversary

"The listing and pictures were completely accurate and it was perfect for two people. The attached one bedroom loft was cute and clean. The owners, Tracy and Alexander were extremely helpful and welcoming along with Brenda, the house cleaner. The taxi service they set up for us was great and very friendly. We had very nice dinners at Cafe Amici at the Dockyard and also at Henry Vlll close by the home. We also enjoyed a lot of time at the beach and buzzing around safely on our scooter. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone."

  • Perfect Get-away

"We stayed at this lovely cottage for three days and enjoyed every minute. The hosts, Brian and Dorothy, welcomed us to their nice compound. The cottage is an easy walk to the grocery store, bus and beaches. It was hot when we were there and the private beach was so nice to cool off in. We enjoyed everything but especially the little patio outside the cottage. We sat out there every night and watched the sunset."
