  • AWESOME!!!!

"We absolutely loved this rental for the week we were in Bonaire. The location being so close to the airport was super convenient. The condo itself is so open and plenty of room! We spend soooo much time out on the patio as there is a very nice dining table and chairs and the view is unbeatable. In fact, if we were at the condo we were mostly out there. The pool is very nice too and never crowded. The dive shop was friendly and very lenient on allowing you to take multiple tanks at 1 time. I just can't see enough great things about this place. Also the communication with the owner was so easy and smooth, I highly recommend!!!!!!"

  • We loved it here, and the courtesy of the owner (and local associates) were incredible!

"My two sisters and I selected this property because of the reviews, and we were not disappointed. Brian contacted me by phone and e-mail regularly, answered every question I thought to ask and gave me information on several that hadn't yet occurred to me. He set us up with Koos for truck rental - we loved having an unmarked vehicle for all the times the truck sat at dive/snorkel locations - windows open, as instructed. The property itself - not huge, but plenty of room for the three of us (or for four, had my other sister joined us.) There was lots of closet space, and we loved having a cooler and towels we could take while snorkeling. The kitchen was well stocked. One note - with a computer you can get English directions for the clothes washer (directions otherwise in Dutch.) There is a grocery store (actually, three of them) close by. The main north/south road is directly outside, and because of the location, there is little traffic, and it's quite quiet. We rarely used the a/c (just the bedrooms at night)...but it was nice to have, had we wanted it. Pay attention to the banaquit that regularly flies by the very large, very comfortable patio, attached to the even larger open deck. And be nice to the iguanas - they're so much fun to watch! I snorkeled off the deck every day, finally finding my best location to the north of the ladder, heading toward the boat moored out in that direction. Our fave snorkel location? Karpata, up north. (Though we loved Wayaka II, as well.) Other recommendations - the Buddy Dive location is just a few yards south, and the folks there gave us lots of useful info. Wil's restaurant, in town, has wonderful food. Less expensive and very good food can be found at Mi Banana. We mostly cooked for ourselves. A final kudo to Brian - he has spent a fair amount of time and energy, ensuring that one of my sisters gets a camera returned that she had lost at the Tolo site. We would definitely return here - we loved the island, we loved the snorkeling, we loved Washington-Slaagbai National Park, we loved the flamingoes (we saw lots of them, up close.) Good spot for birding - and watch for all the wild donkeys and goats. The latter mostly keep an eye out for traffic - the former, not so much...Make sure you travel the entire island - there's something different to see everywhere you go."

  • Relaxing vacation

"We stayed in this condo twice already and I am in the process of booking our next trip. We love a balcony overlooking the water where we eat all our meals. Martin and Nicole are a property managers and have been very helpful. The condo is in very good location 15 minutes drive to windsurfing beach. I would highly recommend this place."

  • Your own private to speak.

"Casa Iguana is an amazing place. We stayed downstairs and it was even better than the pictures. Out front to the left of the house there is storm wreckage from Hurricane Omar and now its become an artificial reef for over 30 different species... I lost count after 30. Its not as pretty as Klein Bonaire... just sandy bottom mostly, but WOW! to just climb down the ladder and swim in your own personal aquarium was AWESOME! Ron was a very nice host and took care of us when we couldnt get our stored emails for instructions to enter the house. He was extremely helpful with questions I had setting up the trip. Cooking most meals at home (aka Casa Iguana) every night was pretty easy (as we brought our 7 and 11 year olds with us and with Dutch cuisine... -but know we love the Dutch people- its on par with the English) lots of spices and good selection of pans in the kitchen- check it out before going to the grocery. We travel alot internationally and Bonaire is one of the first places I'm planning to go back again and soon. When I do Ill be staying at Casa Iguana, no question! Great jumping off the deck (one of the highlights for the kids and the husband) but no railing for little guys so Id say 5-7 and up depending upon your kids ability to follow directions:-)"

Belnem Travel Tips

Visitors to Belnem Vacation Rentals

Belnem is where many of the vacation homes on Bonaire are located. It is a quiet and beautiful part of the island that is perfect for relaxation. One of Bonaire’s great attractions is that it is one of the lesser-known Caribbean vacation destinations so is generally less crowded even in peak season. One group of people that do know about the secrets on Belnem are scuba divers. Since 1979, all the waters surrounding the island of Bonaire have been protected marine national park areas. This has resulted in the reefs and natural marine environment being immaculately preserved. The island is consistently rated as one of the world’s top diving destinations.

Another group of visitors that frequently travel to Bonaire are sailors and yachtsmen. The region is famous for its consistent trade winds which provide premium sailing conditions. In recent years, many kite surfers have been attracted by the ideal wind and surf conditions that Bonaire has to offer. Bonaire is a tropical paradise where you can relax on the beach and do nothing much or spend your days out on the water exploring this ocean paradise.

Belnem Travel Attractions

There are many local tour operators that offer guided biking or horseback riding excursions on the island. If you plan to head into the interior, one place that is a must-see is the Washington Slagbaai National Park; it is a wonderful experience. The park has incredible views and an impressive variety of cacti and Divi-divi trees.

The protected reefs provide pristine scuba diving and snorkeling conditions. There are few places in the world where you can enjoy such as combination of great underwater visibility, warm water temperatures, tame currents and superb marine life. There are masses of reef fish living on the reefs and corals, making for an impressive array of colors. Dive charters provide daily excursions to different sites around the island.

Sailing enthusiasts can take advantage of the prevailing trade winds that Bonaire is known for. You will find a wide assortment of yachts ranging from luxury 50-foot keel boats to catamarans. Many windsurfers and kite surfers also rate Bonaire as a great surfing destination.

Getting to Belnem Resorts

Belnem is located on Bonaire, an island that is part of the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. For travelers from the United States and Canada, getting to Belnem is easy. Many of the major North American airlines operate direct flights to Bonaire from Atlanta, New York City and Miami several times a week. During peak season, many of the airlines increase their weekly frequency to cater to the demand. There are direct flights that operate several times weekly between Bonaire and Amsterdam. For travelers from Europe, this is possibly the best flight option. Travelers from South America and other parts of the world may consider flying into Curacao, Venezuela as an alternative. Curacao has the highest frequency of daily scheduled flights to Bonaire.

Best Season to Visit Bonaire Vacation Rentals in Belnem

Owing to its location in the Caribbean, Bonaire is fortunate enough to enjoy a year-round tropical climate. Because there is not much temperature variation between the seasons, it is often difficult to differentiate between summer and winter. For the most part, visitors can enjoy clear skies, sunshine and balmy warm tropical weather. Rain occurs throughout the year, characteristically in short showers. Even on the hottest day, the trade winds provide a cooling breeze to moderate the island temperatures. The water temperatures remain warm all year, making it an ideal destination for divers, and water sport enthusiasts.
