  • Can't beat this view!

"This is a well equipped 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The pool is great for a relaxing swim or for lap swimming. But an outstanding feature is the upstairs patio. What a great place to enjoy meals and view the ocean and watch for the green flash at sundown! It is in a scenic placid area just a short drive to the conveniences of town. Great dive and snorkeling sites are nearby."

  • Still as lovely @ The Spot

"We have just returned from our 4th (or is it 5th?!) stay at The Spot and loved every minute of it. This fab villa is still as lovely as it was last time we visited (We had a 2 year break renting the owners 2nd villa further north). It's in a wonderful friendly peaceful neighborhood with a lovely private garden. The noise from the airport isn't an issue even with the windows open, the big planes land during the day now and the little ones go by un-noticed. The newly refurbished kitchen in well stocked and there are plenty of towels provided. Beds are comfy and the whole place was very clean and tidy (before we descended lol). It's a real help being collected from and delivered back to the airport by the caretaker, who although only a temp replacement to the normal guys, was absolutely brilliant with the little help we needed. Its a joy to stay here & Anouk is great to deal with, very helpful & efficient. I wouldn't hesitate recommending The Spot to anyone. Thank you again for allowing us to use your lovely villa."

  • THIS PLACE IS A JEWEL

"Bonaire is definitely worth discovering and this apartment makes it a dream. The Island is an ecological paradise with it's well-known snorkelling and diving spots, but the national park and the mangrove forests are not to be missed. The apartment is well-situated; a short walk to the centre of Kralendijk. The view of the ocean from the balcony is magnificent. The layout is very functional and spacious. The bedrooms are comfortable with lots of storage. The air-conditioning is wisper-quiet and most efficient. The kitchen is well-equipped. The apartment is well-decorated and has all of the amenities one could possibly wish for. Our stay on Bonaire was memorable and comfortable would be an understatement. We would definitely go back again."

"Very Nice One Bedroom unit steps from the Sea. The enclosed screen in porch is an excellent bonus. I have always been happy with my choice."

Bonaire Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Bonaire Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is a lesser-known destination located in the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. It is a delightful tropical haven that offers sunshine and relaxation to visitors. Various North American airlines have direct flights from New York City, Miami and Atlanta that operate several times a week. In peak season, a second weekly flight departs from Newark. As an alternate route, you can fly into Curacao and from there, connect on to Bonaire, using the frequent daily regional flight service. If traveling from Europe, your best flight connection will be from Amsterdam. There are direct flights that operate several times a week on the Dutch national carrier. For those traveling from South America, there are regularly scheduled direct flights from Curacao, Venezuela that operate several times daily. Alternate routing options are via Aruba or Bogota in Columbia.

Bonaire Travel Attractions

Because of its pristine reefs and warm water temperatures, some of Bonaire’s primary attractions are its colorful tropical reefs. Scuba diving operators offer daily diving charters for all levels of certified divers. If you do not have a dive qualification, the calm conditions provide the ideal opportunity to learn and get your certification. You can enjoy clear visibility and warm water temperatures while you marvel at the underwater treasures.

For visitors who prefer to stick to land-based activities, there are many options available. Bonaire is noted as an excellent birdwatching destination. For the more energetic, there is the option of exploring the island on horseback or bicycle. There are several local operators that offer guided tours of the island.

A visit to the Washington Slagbaai National Park is a wonderful experience. Here, you can see a wide variety of cacti, divi-divi trees, beautiful landscapes and incredible views. You may also have the opportunity to interact with the semi-tame resident iguanas in the park. Make sure you have your camera with you when you visit the park as it is one part of Bonaire that you will want to photograph.

Ideal Time of Year to Visit Bonaire Resorts

Bonaire is fortunate to have a year-round warm tropical climate. There is very little seasonal variation in the temperatures, and visitors can enjoy sunshine and warm weather almost any time of year. For most of the year, visitors can enjoy the tropical sunshine interspersed only with the occasional summer rain shower. Bonaire’s climate is largely defined by the consistent trade winds which bring a cooling breeze to the island. Water sport enthusiasts can benefit from warm water temperatures all year long.

Visitors to Belnem Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is tranquil tropical paradise. It is one of the lesser-known Caribbean vacation destinations and that is indeed part of its charm. All the marine waters surrounding the island have been declared a marine national park since 1979 which has resulted in a pristine and natural marine environment. It is this environment that attracts scuba divers, snorkelers and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. Because of the consistent trade winds, Bonaire is a popular sailing destination. Windsurfing is also becoming an increasingly popular activity on the island. Kite boarders are also attracted by the good wind and surf conditions that Bonaire has to offer. It is a destination for those that enjoy nature, sun, sea and a relaxed island vibe. When walking along many of the beach fronts, you will be able to see the colorful sails and kites dancing in the wind.
