  • OVER THE TOP VILLA FANTASTIC...

"Over the top villa!!” 5 of 5 stars This is the BEST vacation we have had on the island so far. We celebrated our 25th wedding Anniversary as well as both our Birthdays the week we stayed at this Villa. As you might expect there was a lot of planning involved, having two villas filled with family & friends (22 people in all). I worked closely with Scott for well over a year planning this occasion. He helped with everything I was in question about regarding the Villa as well as the island itself. I couldn't have done it with out his help for sure. I cant say enough about Scott and his lovely wife who were able to meet the week before we moved into their home. What a lovely couple and it shows totally in their home and the love they have put into it!! The pictures don't do it the justice it deserves. Its BEAUTIFUL! Their care taker Marie and the manager Bas were there anytime we needed them. Marie worked our event with such elegance. Some of the little things that arose took just one call to Bas and he was there in five minutes, service beyond anything we expected. The owners came in the week before to make sure everything was perfect. That alone was far beyond anything a we expected. THANK YOU ALL!!! The view from the pool .. just amazing. They have a outdoor kitchen by the pool that includes refrigerator, gas grill, bathroom and sink. We had our vow renewal in the gazebo on top and reception below with music and dancing, all at sunset.. It was the perfect place ! Just a short walk out the back gate to the sea where we did some day and night diving, also snorkeled from our villa down ten villas to villa Salentine #36 where we had other friends staying. It was a slow drift for about an hour, Just on the snorkeling we saw everything you would hope to see in the ocean. There was a Octopus baby under a dock and a HUGE one out in the open, many peacock flounders and even baby ones, four puffers, one all white and a scorpion fish . I could go on and on.. it was AMAZING to see so much.. Our dives were just as exciting. The lobsters & Octopus at night!!! totally amazing. If I could buy this place we would be there right now.. We love it.. Best place on the island for sure. The only thing I would have done differently is If I had known Villa Lamans was next door,I would have had the other group of 11 rent that one. Our friends were close but they wanted to be closer. :)) we had 2 young grand kids with us.. they loved it too!!! PERFECT PLACE."

  • Divers' Dream: The Best!!!

"Second stay at the fabulous Beachcomber Villas. We stayed a month and spent 2 weeks in each apartment, so see notes below. The hosts at this property are just unbelievable and the property itself, right on the ocean in a quiet neighborhood with a dive shop a 3 minute walk away, is wonderful. Beachcomber Villas is primarily set up for quiet, friendly couples who dive and/or snorkel. If you want to throw loud parties or you prefer not to talk to your neighbors, this property may not be a good fit. Also they do not take kids under 12. All other visitors will love it. The owners bend over backward to keep these apartments immaculate, including rewashing every single dish and utensil in the well-equipped kitchen before a new guest arrives. There are so many thoughtful touches: a lightweight portable drying rack for wet suits and towels, beer bottle cozies for your evening beverage, a few days supply of coffee so you can be awake enough to make it to the grocery store, and some old towels (which look better than my new towels) "because you never know when you may need an old towel for something." And the nice Weber Q grill on the terrace. And the cute little battery powered lamps for the kitchen or terrace that they purchased because I mentioned that the overhead light was kind of harsh at night. How about that? Both apartments are very nice. We like the smaller one a little better because it has windows on both the east and west and gets a nice cross draft which keeps it cooler. We never used the air conditioner. Of course, when those happy little rain squalls blow through, you do have to leap up and close the eastern windows. Also we left them closed when we were out, just in case. And be sure to close the window in the bathroom when you shower so the shower curtain doesn't blow around too much. In the larger apartment, the kitchen makes an "L" with the bedroom and you don't get as nice a cross breeze, so it gets pretty warm despite the fan. The owners do a good job of mosquito control; there are not many; but it seemed to me I was using the handy portable mosquito zapper more in the large apartment than the small one. We have had four sets of neighbors in the six weeks we've spent at Beachcomber, and they were all delightful friendly divers with whom we shared many a "sundowner" while sitting on our upper terrace or at the beachfront with the owners. Yarn-spinning is a Beachcomber tradition, so be prepared to share yours and listen to others'."

  • Exactly the vation we needed!!

"This condo is fantastic! The view is amazing and the place was immaculate and had everything we could want. First of all the location is great...10 minute walk to town, nice pool, snorkeling right out front. The kitchen facilities are nice, went to Van Der Tweel Groceries and got plenty of food for the week...ate on the deck every day because the view was better than most restaurants around. The owners are amazing...they answered every question and were very helpful in getting prepared to go there. We ate at Paso Bon Pizza (good...takes credit cards), Bobbejaan (great BBQ, takes credit cards), had gelato at Gio's (fantastic but cash only) We went snorkeling every day...weather was amazing We drove around the island and I cannot imagine a better location than Playa Lechi...we will go back"

  • A vacation home with all the amenities

"I stayed for one week at this gorgeous property. It was situated with an unmatched and unrivalled view of Kline Bonaire that literally took my breath away. The owner took time and passion to ensure that the property was flawlessly prepared for renters. It had every necessity I could have needed, and more. When I arrived, there was a complimentary bottle of Malbec provided, information about the island, and a relaxing open condo with two bedrooms, A/C, giant glass sliding doors that opened completely to a breathtaking view of the ocean, a fully furnished kitchen, and relaxing living room complete with flat screen TV, wifi, and upgraded cable programming (not that you will use the TV when you can sit out on the enormous covered back patio directly looking over the ocean and Kline Bonaire). The apartment is perfectly situated within walking distance to downtown, numerous dive shops, and even a dock that you could walk out and scuba dive, snorkel, or swim from. I spent every night of my trip going for an evening swim in the delightful pool located on the property, which was mineral water and felt phenomenally clean and wonderful to swim a few laps. Towards the end of my trip I realised that I was running low on clothes and this condo came with a nice little washing machine and dry racks to let my clothes dry in the salty, fresh air. I could not imagine a more perfect property for a vacation to paradise. The colours of the water, the location, and the divine coral reefs that surround the island make this a perfect paradise. Make sure when you go, you buy your nature pass from any of the local dive shops, which allows you to dive, snorkel, and visit the gorgeous Washington Slagbaai park for a full year. Diving in Bonaire is unparalleled. From seeing frog fish, barracuda, angel fish, puffer fish, and even having my fingers cleaned by a shrimp. The reefs are perfect and with a drop off that runs to 120 feet, you cannot ask for a more perfect location than right outside of your quaint little condo at Playa Lechi #5. This was quite literally the most flawless and perfect vacation I have taken. Even the rental agency was most amenable with anything I could think to ask for. I highly recommend this property to anyone that is looking to spend a week in paradise. Don't forget to go to Lac Bay and try your hand at windsurfing and enjoy a fabulous cocktail!"

Bonaire Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Bonaire Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is a lesser-known destination located in the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. It is a delightful tropical haven that offers sunshine and relaxation to visitors. Various North American airlines have direct flights from New York City, Miami and Atlanta that operate several times a week. In peak season, a second weekly flight departs from Newark. As an alternate route, you can fly into Curacao and from there, connect on to Bonaire, using the frequent daily regional flight service. If traveling from Europe, your best flight connection will be from Amsterdam. There are direct flights that operate several times a week on the Dutch national carrier. For those traveling from South America, there are regularly scheduled direct flights from Curacao, Venezuela that operate several times daily. Alternate routing options are via Aruba or Bogota in Columbia.

Bonaire Travel Attractions

Because of its pristine reefs and warm water temperatures, some of Bonaire’s primary attractions are its colorful tropical reefs. Scuba diving operators offer daily diving charters for all levels of certified divers. If you do not have a dive qualification, the calm conditions provide the ideal opportunity to learn and get your certification. You can enjoy clear visibility and warm water temperatures while you marvel at the underwater treasures.

For visitors who prefer to stick to land-based activities, there are many options available. Bonaire is noted as an excellent birdwatching destination. For the more energetic, there is the option of exploring the island on horseback or bicycle. There are several local operators that offer guided tours of the island.

A visit to the Washington Slagbaai National Park is a wonderful experience. Here, you can see a wide variety of cacti, divi-divi trees, beautiful landscapes and incredible views. You may also have the opportunity to interact with the semi-tame resident iguanas in the park. Make sure you have your camera with you when you visit the park as it is one part of Bonaire that you will want to photograph.

Ideal Time of Year to Visit Bonaire Resorts

Bonaire is fortunate to have a year-round warm tropical climate. There is very little seasonal variation in the temperatures, and visitors can enjoy sunshine and warm weather almost any time of year. For most of the year, visitors can enjoy the tropical sunshine interspersed only with the occasional summer rain shower. Bonaire’s climate is largely defined by the consistent trade winds which bring a cooling breeze to the island. Water sport enthusiasts can benefit from warm water temperatures all year long.

Visitors to Belnem Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is tranquil tropical paradise. It is one of the lesser-known Caribbean vacation destinations and that is indeed part of its charm. All the marine waters surrounding the island have been declared a marine national park since 1979 which has resulted in a pristine and natural marine environment. It is this environment that attracts scuba divers, snorkelers and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. Because of the consistent trade winds, Bonaire is a popular sailing destination. Windsurfing is also becoming an increasingly popular activity on the island. Kite boarders are also attracted by the good wind and surf conditions that Bonaire has to offer. It is a destination for those that enjoy nature, sun, sea and a relaxed island vibe. When walking along many of the beach fronts, you will be able to see the colorful sails and kites dancing in the wind.
