  • AWESOME!

"From the moment we walked into LBR 13, we felt as though we were "home". It is a clean, cmfortable unit. I've never rented a unit with such a well equipped kitchen--everything needed for meal preparation. The outside gas grill is a major plus. The house is definitely set up for diving with a fresh water rinse tank for easy cleanup. There is no place else I would rather stay and will return on our next visit to Bonaire."

  • Exactly what I was looking for

"Sitting at the ocean end of the deck, you can flick a pebble into the water, you're that close. I love to snorkel and do some diving. Just walk into the water and the first 30 or 40 yards out are shallow and sandy bottomed, with some small coral heads here and there that are fun to check out. After 30 or 40 yards out you hit the dark blue water line. Look below you and you will see the beautiful reef that runs the perimeter of the island. The depth to get down to the reef varies around 25 to 40 feet deep, which was fine for my son and I to snorkel. We like diving down, thou by the end of our stay our ears were water logged. My wife preferred and enjoyed floating at the surface and watching things. The house is located just north of the promenade, which makes it more private. But walk just a block and you are on the promenade which takes you into town. The location of this house is perfect. A walk to the nearest market it a little under a mile, so you might not need a car, but get one. Get one of those mid size four door pickups . If for no other reason than to do a driving tour of the north end of the island (Washington-Slagbaai national park). The house itself is beautiful, the pictures the owner posted are accurate. I plan to come back."

  • Three divers from Mississippi

"The Villa was excellent. It is in a very convenient spot - dive shop is 25 yards away. Lots of good restaurants close by. The Villa was just as described in the listing. There were three guys in our party with a lot of dive gear; we had plenty of space. There would have be no issues with space had our wives came along. The owner and property manager were great. Both of them were easy to contact and a joy to talk with. This Villa will be our first choice when we return to the island next year. Bottom line is that you could not ask for a better place to stay while on Bonaire."

  • Windsurf Fan

"This house in Belnam suited my needs perfectly for my annual windsurfing trip to Bonaire. With 2 double beds, 2 single beds and 2 bathrooms ( one of them an onsuite ) we able to accommodate everyone comfortably. Convenient location close to town, airport, windsurfing at Lac Bay and the many dive sites on the Southern part of Bonaire. Kitchen has a 4 burner gas stove so was able to prepare some tasty meals as I don't like to eat out all the time. Very comfortable accommodations with a nice dining - living space in a small residential area. Recommended"

Bonaire Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Bonaire Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is a lesser-known destination located in the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. It is a delightful tropical haven that offers sunshine and relaxation to visitors. Various North American airlines have direct flights from New York City, Miami and Atlanta that operate several times a week. In peak season, a second weekly flight departs from Newark. As an alternate route, you can fly into Curacao and from there, connect on to Bonaire, using the frequent daily regional flight service. If traveling from Europe, your best flight connection will be from Amsterdam. There are direct flights that operate several times a week on the Dutch national carrier. For those traveling from South America, there are regularly scheduled direct flights from Curacao, Venezuela that operate several times daily. Alternate routing options are via Aruba or Bogota in Columbia.

Bonaire Travel Attractions

Because of its pristine reefs and warm water temperatures, some of Bonaire’s primary attractions are its colorful tropical reefs. Scuba diving operators offer daily diving charters for all levels of certified divers. If you do not have a dive qualification, the calm conditions provide the ideal opportunity to learn and get your certification. You can enjoy clear visibility and warm water temperatures while you marvel at the underwater treasures.

For visitors who prefer to stick to land-based activities, there are many options available. Bonaire is noted as an excellent birdwatching destination. For the more energetic, there is the option of exploring the island on horseback or bicycle. There are several local operators that offer guided tours of the island.

A visit to the Washington Slagbaai National Park is a wonderful experience. Here, you can see a wide variety of cacti, divi-divi trees, beautiful landscapes and incredible views. You may also have the opportunity to interact with the semi-tame resident iguanas in the park. Make sure you have your camera with you when you visit the park as it is one part of Bonaire that you will want to photograph.

Ideal Time of Year to Visit Bonaire Resorts

Bonaire is fortunate to have a year-round warm tropical climate. There is very little seasonal variation in the temperatures, and visitors can enjoy sunshine and warm weather almost any time of year. For most of the year, visitors can enjoy the tropical sunshine interspersed only with the occasional summer rain shower. Bonaire’s climate is largely defined by the consistent trade winds which bring a cooling breeze to the island. Water sport enthusiasts can benefit from warm water temperatures all year long.

Visitors to Belnem Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is tranquil tropical paradise. It is one of the lesser-known Caribbean vacation destinations and that is indeed part of its charm. All the marine waters surrounding the island have been declared a marine national park since 1979 which has resulted in a pristine and natural marine environment. It is this environment that attracts scuba divers, snorkelers and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. Because of the consistent trade winds, Bonaire is a popular sailing destination. Windsurfing is also becoming an increasingly popular activity on the island. Kite boarders are also attracted by the good wind and surf conditions that Bonaire has to offer. It is a destination for those that enjoy nature, sun, sea and a relaxed island vibe. When walking along many of the beach fronts, you will be able to see the colorful sails and kites dancing in the wind.
