  • Bonaire Sunset Villa

"We had a wonderful vacation at the villa. Our Hostess was the greatest. Everyone we meet were the most accommodating, gracious people. Would love to return for a month. The waters and snorkeling are the best that I have visited."

  • Awesome place!! Great Owners! Highly Recommend!!!

"I and my four friends absolutely loved the house! We had a blast staying there, it was everything we expected and more. Nice clean ample space, not to mention the beautiful pool that is overlooking Bonaire! The property manager was very sweet showing us around. If your ever thinking about vacationing in Bonaire then villa ElDorado is the place to be! I can't wait to come back :-) Thank you again!!!"

  • Near perfect!

"Stayed 10 nights In the Blue View. From the moment we got there we knew we struck gold! Just the place for floor (3), everything we needed and a dive shop on premises. We could live there quite comfortably and not have to purchase a thing. The breeze that blows through that apartment is amazing. In fact, we had to throttle it down with the sliders! Marji even provided a prepaid phone which we didn't use but was very reassuring to have along with us. The apartment is fairly close to the airport but planes don't fly in late at night so it was a non-issue. This place is QUIET....just what we needed and convenient to everything, diving, groceries, restaurants/shops, etc. We did not get to meet Marji as she was off-island but her communication with us was spot-on for everything. Hangers and drying rack for gear/clothing on the screened-in porch was a nice touch. A washing machine is in the apartment as well. The pool was lovely and completely vacant each time we used it. The grounds are kept up nicely. The dive shop down stairs Div'Ocean is "top tier" as are the owners, Peter and Bianca. They also provide gear storage for free and a place to rinse gear when you are done for the day and access to tanks 24/7. For those wanting to go to Klein for the day, their dive boat is right there too. Just roll out of bed onto the boat! It's just a combination of many things that make staying at the Blue View such a gem. Would we stay there again? You bet ya! We have found a home with Marji's Blue View."

  • Wonderful place!

"This was our first visit to Sand Dollar, but our 3rd visit to Bonaire. I have to say that we absolutely loved this condo! First floor, close to Dive Friends Bonaire (we'd rinse and store), quickly walk to unit, and have lunch, cocktails, dinner, and relax. The ocean breeze was amazing, open up the patio door & the primary door windows and there was an amazing breeze to keep you cool. We only used AC in the bedroom for sleeping. The unit was perfect for our needs. It was tastefully updated, with comfortable furniture in the living room, a new dining room table, kitchen had everything you could need, bathroom was updated, and bedroom was extremely comfortable and kept very cool for sleeping (just as we like it). Easy access to Bari Reef, and we dove it several times during our stay, while also venturing out to the many other dive sights around the island. We LOVED being able to walk to several restaurants (Between 2 Buns - amazing breakfast & lunch was right across the parking area, and Sonia Home was across the street for great pizza or Italian.) This was definitely a lovely oceanfront unit which we thoroughly enjoyed for our 7 days. There was a safe in the closet where we locked up our electronics, dive hooks on the balcony where we hung our wetsuits to dry each night (our regular gear was hung in the Dive Friends lockers just a few yards away), and we could walk out the patio door to enjoy the sunset close up EVERY night, or we just enjoyed from the tasteful patio furniture. Both husband & I had to check in to work each day, and we were able to do that with the Sand Dollar internet. It wasn't always reliable, but it enabled us to keep in touch with work. My "office" was at the patio table with the amazing views & breeze, while husband's "office" was on the comfortable couch in front of the World Cup games on TV. We'd definitely rent this unit again - it was GREAT!"

Bonaire Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Bonaire Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is a lesser-known destination located in the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean. It is a delightful tropical haven that offers sunshine and relaxation to visitors. Various North American airlines have direct flights from New York City, Miami and Atlanta that operate several times a week. In peak season, a second weekly flight departs from Newark. As an alternate route, you can fly into Curacao and from there, connect on to Bonaire, using the frequent daily regional flight service. If traveling from Europe, your best flight connection will be from Amsterdam. There are direct flights that operate several times a week on the Dutch national carrier. For those traveling from South America, there are regularly scheduled direct flights from Curacao, Venezuela that operate several times daily. Alternate routing options are via Aruba or Bogota in Columbia.

Bonaire Travel Attractions

Because of its pristine reefs and warm water temperatures, some of Bonaire’s primary attractions are its colorful tropical reefs. Scuba diving operators offer daily diving charters for all levels of certified divers. If you do not have a dive qualification, the calm conditions provide the ideal opportunity to learn and get your certification. You can enjoy clear visibility and warm water temperatures while you marvel at the underwater treasures.

For visitors who prefer to stick to land-based activities, there are many options available. Bonaire is noted as an excellent birdwatching destination. For the more energetic, there is the option of exploring the island on horseback or bicycle. There are several local operators that offer guided tours of the island.

A visit to the Washington Slagbaai National Park is a wonderful experience. Here, you can see a wide variety of cacti, divi-divi trees, beautiful landscapes and incredible views. You may also have the opportunity to interact with the semi-tame resident iguanas in the park. Make sure you have your camera with you when you visit the park as it is one part of Bonaire that you will want to photograph.

Ideal Time of Year to Visit Bonaire Resorts

Bonaire is fortunate to have a year-round warm tropical climate. There is very little seasonal variation in the temperatures, and visitors can enjoy sunshine and warm weather almost any time of year. For most of the year, visitors can enjoy the tropical sunshine interspersed only with the occasional summer rain shower. Bonaire’s climate is largely defined by the consistent trade winds which bring a cooling breeze to the island. Water sport enthusiasts can benefit from warm water temperatures all year long.

Visitors to Belnem Vacation Rentals

Bonaire is tranquil tropical paradise. It is one of the lesser-known Caribbean vacation destinations and that is indeed part of its charm. All the marine waters surrounding the island have been declared a marine national park since 1979 which has resulted in a pristine and natural marine environment. It is this environment that attracts scuba divers, snorkelers and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. Because of the consistent trade winds, Bonaire is a popular sailing destination. Windsurfing is also becoming an increasingly popular activity on the island. Kite boarders are also attracted by the good wind and surf conditions that Bonaire has to offer. It is a destination for those that enjoy nature, sun, sea and a relaxed island vibe. When walking along many of the beach fronts, you will be able to see the colorful sails and kites dancing in the wind.
