  • Wonderful house, amazing views

"We just spent 9 nights at Casa Allamanda and we had a wonderful time. The house is wonderful - very clean with all of the amenities you could possibly need, and the views are just to die for. The owner was very responsive any time we contacted him, and he was very helpful. We had planned to go out to dinner a few nights, but we never did because each afternoon when we came back from our day trips, we would soak in the pool, have cocktails on the deck, watch the sunset, and then make a nice dinner and eat on the patio enjoying the spectacular views. Why go anywhere else?? It was a great location as a base to head out on different day trips - we went to different beaches, and also took the ferry to Jost Van Dyke and to Virgin Gorda. Driving is an adventure on Tortola, but thanks to the videos that John has posted on Vimeo, we had no trouble finding the house. The privacy is wonderful - no neighbors in sight! The house has plenty of room - 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom (although we always used the outdoor shower!), a big living room and a very well appointed kitchen. We loved all of the colorful artwork in the house and we found it to be a very comfortable place to stay - it definitely felt like a "home away from home". I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing getaway!"

  • Perfect Villa For Our Family

"We just returned from a wonderful week at the Bigger Splash Villa. The villa is very spacious and our 4 children (3 of whom are teenagers) had plenty of room to spread out. The views from the top of the villa are lovely and it was a favorite place to take our morning coffee or evening pina colada. The pool was pristine and refreshingly cool after a day at the beaches. The bedrooms all have a/c as does the separate cottage. The great room has a powerful ceiling fan, and keeps the room cool (at least for us in February.) The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils and the gas grill on the deck made bbq quick and easy. You can walk to the Baths and Spring Bay is a short 2 minute drive. TV's are available in the cottage, master bedroom and great room. You might wish to bring your own deck of cards and some games if you are a gaming family, but we were pleased to see a travel scrabble board and some books. There are plenty of "What to do on BVI" pamphlets and books. The caretaker, Debbie, was wonderful and even stopped with us on the way from the ferry so that we could get groceries for the next morning. We loved the breezes that were almost constant during our stay, and we couldn't be more pleased with the Bigger Splash and highly recommend it!"

  • A Piece of Heaven

"“Where do we begin singing our praises of this marvelous place? We were in complete awe of the villa from the pictures we saw, but they truly don’t do the place justice. You feel like you own the cliffside and bay - so secluded! We had hurricane scare at the beginning of our trip, but we were completely taken care of. Germaine called numerous times to make sure we were okay. The best snorkeling was in our bay. We spent so much time playing in the pool. The view was so spectacular from the pool we never wanted to get out. We had four incredible Scuba Dives to Ginger Snaps, Middle Chromis, and the RMS Rhone (a must!). Because we loved our villa so much, we cooked most of our meals at home. We hope to return to this beautiful piece of paradise SOON! It was the absolute perfect home away from home!"

  • Romantic Pink House

"After you have snorkeled your way down to the point and seen sea turtles, rays, and fish galore it is nice to step onto the beach, fall into a lounge chair and sip your favorite beverage while in the shade of palm trees. The Pink House sits 5 steps above the beach with a wrap around porch that overlooks Sir Francis Drake Passage and many sailboats anchored at Cooper Island. You are practically part of the beach with double doors that let you see the ocean from your bed and windows throughout that let the trade winds cool the room. The covered porch is a delight to sit on and watch the boats and water traffic. An outdoor shower helps complete the beach living experience. (There is an indoor shower also.) The interior of the cottage is an "L" shaped room with a queen bed straight in the doors and a kitchen to the left. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals with a propane stove and refrigerator. A small table to eat at is present, but we ate on the porch consistently. We had the house provisioned by an outfitter for the durable goods and shopped for fresh items in Road Town before taking the boat over. We survived in the evening with candle light, although the 12V electrical system powered the fan and LED lights without a problem. We charged phones, computers, portable speakers, etc. during the day and it worked fine. The owners were very responsive and helpful in the setup for the trip. On island they have a caretaker that will help with moving in and picking up extra supplies if you need them."
