  • Living the dream in Tortola

"My first time in Tortola and wasn't sure what to expect after driving up a rocky road past incredible views of the water below. The villa is really three houses with spectacular views from every room each with it's own terrace, it was even better than the photos. The private pool and beautifully landscaped gardens added to the vista every morning when we sat for hours having our breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean. All the rooms are so well thought out we felt like we were in a 5 star hotel, plenty of towels, nice linens, fully furnished kitchen, wonderfully comfortable couches and chairs for evening get togethers and a separate media room in the third house. Some of the best beaches were just minutes away as well as restaurants and a grocery store. I came with two friends for a week getaway and couldn't be happier! Would definitely come back again."

  • Two thumbs up!

"Da Blue House is a charming, impeccably clean, and well-equipped cottage in a friendly neighborhood where locals are quick to say hello and offer assistance. The location was a perfect spot for me and my college-aged daughters to explore the island. Sam and JC were easy to reach and made sure that we had everything we needed, then after our trip, returned our security deposit lighting fast. Two of the most beautiful beaches- Long Beach and Smugglers Cove- are just a few minutes' drive, and great restaurants like Cruzin, Palm's Delight, and Sugar Mill are within walking distance, with great views along the way. In fact, the sunset from Cruzin was a dream. Island driving is an adventure in itself. The crazy-steep hairpin curves on the way to Cane Garden Bay take some getting used to (beep your horn on the approach and take 'em wide). Loved the food and music at Quito's and killer BBQ at Elm's. Being the off-season, we frequently found ourselves alone or with few others on beaches and in restaurants, except at the Baths, which despite the relative crowds, is still a must-see. Also recommend sailing and snorkeling with Gary on Karalu- excellent service and lunch on board. The highlight of our trip was breakfast with Mr. Egbert Donovan, just up the street at the North Shore Shell Museum. Be sure to call or visit him first to make a reservation. Mr. Egbert served up fabulous mango, banana, and coconut pancakes, mango smoothies, and charming tales of island life, as well as a tour of the "museum". Best of all, he strummed his guitar, sang original songs, and gave us instruments to play along. Priceless. One thing to note if you're a light sleeper- roosters and light traffic may keep you awake at Da Blue House, but once you relax and get in your island groove, it's all good. Truly fantastic …we’ll be back. Thanks Sam and JC!"

  • Awesome All Around!!

"This place is a gem on Tortola!! The description is exactly spot on and more! We spent half of our honeymoon here and couldn't have been happier. When I booked the room I had requested room 9 because I had heard it was one of the best single rooms. It was a last minute booking so I was not sure if we could get it, but when we got there she had put us in room 9. The view was stunning! There had been a tropical storm which forced us to hunker down for the day. To our surprise the restaurant opened despite the storm. The food there was some of the best we had in the islands. The staff was super friendly. We would definitely stay there again!"

  • Dream Vacation!

"My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Sundowner Villa, and could not have imagined a better place for our honeymoon. It was very private and secluded with amazing views. The amenities were a great surprise- iPad, wireless sound system, kayaks, and snorkel gear. Sonny took great care of us and helped direct us around the island. Ray was very helpful as we had many questions prior to our trip. Food around the island was great, and we even spent several nights just hanging out at the villa cooking on the grill. HIGHLY recommend this place, and we are already trying to decide when we can come back!"
