"After a week of chartering a sailboat we were able to spend a week at this marvalous get away. The views and ambiance were spectacular. BVI Village exceeded our expectations in every way. Here we had complete privacy, indoor/outdoor living, and attentive assistance to any questions and requests we had for Burtt and Carole and Lucienne. We will be returning to this idyllic spot."

"After sailing around the BVI with family we decided to end our vacation again with a week at Da Blue House. We had a remarkable experience last year and it was just as perfect again. Arriving at the house felt like coming home. Soooo relaxing watching the surf from the front yard and grilling out on the patio. JC and Sam have the house equipped with everything we could possibly need and it is so comfortable.
We just love the charming neighborhood of Little Carrot Bay and this house is located right in the middle. Its great to walk through the streets and talk with the neighbors...everyone is just wonderful. This year we made arrangements with Egbert at the Northshore Shell Museum to cook us dinner. We strolled down there one evening and had a night filled with endless stories from Egbert, fantastic spiced fish and music we played together with him on instruments he supplied. Great fun!
We spent a few days on the very pretty beach at Smugglers Cove, just a short drive from the house. We also hiked our favorite Sage Mountain trails. The north loop is like something out of Jurassic Park, fantastic flora and fauna.....minus the dinosaurs.
Our very favorite part of the week is just hanging out in the yard with a couple of rum drinks, playing cards or just watching the waves. Thanks Sam and JC for providing us with a great experience again!"

"Great place with great view! Clean, well layer out and close to shopping, restaurants and activities. Right on the water with an awesome view. You can watch the boats come in/out of Road Harbor from your own private dock! Great place!"

"If you don't expect luxury and just need a place to hang your hat and sleep off the day's activities, this is a great choice. If you want comfort and luxury - not so much. This is as basic as it can be.
The location is beautiful. The photo you see on the page is to the east. They don't show you the view to the north which is the open Caribbean, or to the west which is a beautiful view of Jost Van Dyke. While this is, technically, ocean front, it is not beach front. The property is about 15 feet above the shore line, but in this case the shore is rocks and boulders. You will have to walk about 200 yards to get to beach access. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks is either soothing or unsettling depending on how high the swells are. I can tell you that some nights the sound was loud enough to wake me - and other nights it lulled me into a peaceful slumber.
There is no A/C. You will have to rely completely on ocean breezes and fans. There is no oven (probably a good thing considering the heat they give off), but there is a cook top and microwave.
The bed linens are a bit on the scratchy side. If you've had too much sun or have very sensitive skin this can be an issue; otherwise, you should adapt quickly.
The outside patio is the best part of this property. Again, it is just the basics, but it where we spent most of our time when we were there. You can sit in the sun or the shade and just watch the world go by.
This location is very convenient to some of the best beaches in the BVI, as well as the best dining. Great food and drink are never more than a 10 minute car ride away.
One more tiny issue that may be relevant to some travelers - this is not an accessible property. You must go down a narrow and fairly steep staircase. If you have mobility issues, this is not a good choice."
