"Tortola is a beautiful island and the perfect place to island hop. We ventured out each and every day and looked forward to returning to "our" villa and the beautiful infinity pool each evening. We loved the master suite being separated from the main house - perfect when you have two teenage boys along! Each and every day was paradise at the villa with the amazing views of Jost, Sandy Cay and Long Beach. I truly cannot say enough about this villa from the rental process to the managers to the housekeeper and pool guy - everyone was very professional and attentive. If Tortola is in our travel plans in the future, Villa Taino will be at the top of my list!"

"Lovely cottage with large, open plan. The view was beautiful. The master bedroom had high, vaulted ceilings and air conditioning. Just steps from the pool and very private.
Bear in mind that the roads are dangerous at night, so it's advisable to get back before sunset ( especially with a few cocktails on board) but apparently there are taxis.
Very close to beach bars, restaurants etc. but again an all wheel drive jeep is recommended to get back up the steep hill. We rented from Jerry's car rental at West end. Our advice is to not get the low end Jeep..and upgrade a tad.
Bring your own candles.
Bring your own toiletries as few are supplied, + toilet paper.
Tina the owner was very kind and swift to reply if any issues.
It's advisable to stay beyond hurricane season, as this can be hot/ humid and only one air conditioned room.
Hey, bring your own movies! The supply of DVDs is great, but a bit hard to hear with the fan blowing :-) we had to stay indoors given the weather. On the one, starry night, it was beautiful.
Perhaps our stay was a little 'off season' but in general the house is lovely and do make it down to the local beach bars/ restaurants if you can. 'myetts' had a fantastic happy hour time from 5-7 with amazing Mahi tacos with red caggage..yumm and a lovely, funny musician!
Brewers Bay beach is very quiet, but lovely.
Paradise beach bar on Cane Garden Bay is lively and have great drinks...
Locals are friendly, but not overly so. It's polite to say " hello, how are you?" In order to receive the same.
Makere is a lovely spot. We really enjoyed our time..."

"What could I say that has not been written before?
For us, it was about a view and privacy, BVI Village did not disappoint. Amazing views! We never thought we would fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing below on LongBay but we did! What a bonus....
From the first email, Carole and Burtt were very helpful, answering any question we had.
Lucienne, the property manager was never more than a phone call away( text message too...), she keeps an eye on everything and will go out of her way to make sure your stay is unforgettable.
The property is wonderful, the master bedroom, separated from the rest of the house, is very private with an open air shower. The two other bedrooms sit on the opposite side, all the beds are very comfortable.
Plenty of board games for the evening, the night sky is gorgeous, and the pool was where we spent lots of time when not exploring the island.
The road, scary at first, was a piece of cake after 24 hours.
Hopefully we will be back!"

"My wife and I are in our early fifties. We are lifelong best friends and this past summer we took our kids and got married in St. Croix. We stayed in an amazing beachfront Villa and got married on a catamaran. We had a perfect wedding with our family but we also immediately started searching for a place to get away by ourselves.
After narrowing it down to Tortola and St. John we spotted Karensa. The reviews were positive. The pictures were amazing. The price was perfect. It was open for the week we were looking at so we booked it.
As everyone mentioned, Ben is an amazing host and while the pictures and reviews were all glowing, they do not do it justice. That view is a million dollar view! We just couldn’t get enough of relaxing by the pool, watching the sail boats go by and the sun setting over the islands in the background.
Karensa will make you think you are vacationing in the rain forest and at the same time the sound of the ocean and views will remind you that you are just a few steps away from the Caribbean. The villa is very private and the landscaping is stunning. Absolutely loved how they built the villa into the side of the mountain, retaining all of the large boulders as you walk down to the villa.
The villa is very romantic. Rather than “rustic” we found it simple and charming. We spent the entire week soaking up each other, listening to music and getting lost from the real world. No news, no sports, no TV, other than a couple movies in the evening time. It provided everything (which in some cases less is more) that we were looking for.
We have a rule, too many places to see so we don’t normally return. At the end of the trip we both agreed we have to come back to celebrate “us” in the near future. I can’t say this Villa is for everyone but if you value your time with your spouse like I do mine, stop looking.
BTW, we did have some weird issue with the hot tub. It lost water on the first night. Ben came out and looked at it. Ended up filling it up and it didn’t leak anymore during the week. Only other issue was that it was hard to control the cold water in the shower (We LOVED the outdoor shower). Plenty of hot water but hard to get the cold just perfect. I only mention this to try and give a balanced review….seriously, I really struggled to find any issues.
Thanks Ben for the wonderful memories we took home with us. Look forward to returning someday soon!"
