We just returned to the cloudy Pacific Northwest after 6 days staying at Villa Chai Light. We already miss it in more than one way.
I will give my comments broken down in categories:
Owner Jacky - What a lady! One of sweetest and most accommodating people I have ever met. Her communication from first inquiry to departure was great. When we arrived she had arranged for some grocery items to be in the home and it was just as we asked. We had a brief walk thru of the property and she was on her way. She lives just up the hill.
The Villa - Perfect, well appointed, very clean, well maintained and had that perfect beach feel to it. The house is basically two living areas one upstairs and one down. The downstairs has a full kitchen, king size bed, shower, sleeper sofa, wonderful deck and great view. The same goes for upstairs with the addition of a second bedroom with a single bed. The value you get for the money makes this Villa well worth the price!
Location - North Sound / next to Leverick Marina - Great location with the marina, restaurants, shops and bars next door. We would just walk down the hill to dinner several nights and anything we needed was in the Pantry down the hill. The Villa is quite private and water front with a nice dock including a deck. The dock will accommodate a dinghy which is great for running around North Sound. The constant parade of boats is a treat to watch.
Activities: - next door is the marina, personally feel that a Dinghy rental thru B&B is in order for half of your stay. Andy Bradley next door is great to work with and the dinghy's are perfect to run around the bay on. Our favorite spot was the Sandbox across the bay. Bar, restaurant with good sandwiches and plenty of chairs on a nice private beach. There are plenty of excursions to take advantage of, but plan ahead. Jacky can make suggestions accordingly
Must visit places in North Sound: Sandbox, Saba Rock, Bitter End Yacht Club, Leverick Marina. MUST GO eat lunch at Hog Heaven. What a view. Can't describe it! This is a must.
For any questions while you are there including arranging rental cars etc you have two contacts. First is Jacky the owner and second is Chudney, who can get you anything you need on VG. He is also the one who most likely will pick you up at the ferry dock. Very punctual person based on several interactions with him and a super nice guy!
Now, stop looking, BOOK IT!"

"our stay at tamarind villa was absolutely wonderful. when we arrived, tiina was at the airport to greet us and take us by the store to get supplies. she then took us on to the house and gave us the tour. she was not intrusive at all which we greatly appreciated and she answered the phone immediately and gave great advice when we called her. we have traveled to many islands over the last 15 years and this is the only house that we have stayed in that truly was cooled by the trade winds! I am an A/C gal, and I never once turned it on at tamarind villa. those who know me, know that is saying a lot. my sister and I truly mourned the loss of the feel and sound of that glorious breeze blowing through our rooms at night! the house was also one of the most well stocked houses we have stayed in during our travels. the owners have taken great care to make sure you have what you need for beach time, pool time, and so on. the views of leverick bay from the house are just beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sail boats and yachts come in and out of the bay each morning and evening. it was also so fun that we could hear and enjoy the music and fun going on down at jumbies some nights. we went down to jumbies one evening and it happened that the travel channel was there filming a show about Michael beans the singing pirate. what unexpected fun for us!! we also loved watching the beautiful hummingbirds, bananaquits and the pearly-eyed thrashers that stayed around the house and pool. we were amazed when we put out sugar water as suggested by the owners. the bananaquits just flocked to it. so fun to watch and to video! this was our second visit to beautiful virgin gorda and I don't know if we will get back there again as we have so much more to see and explore, but if we were to go back...we would definitely stay at tamarind villa. thank you so much for the use of your wonderful home!

"I would highly recommend Villa Alizes'. We loved the house!!! Breathtaking views from the deck and very comfortable and clean. Perfect for 2 couples. Beautiful views of the bay with all the sailboats coming and going and all the Islands of the North Sound. Michael was very attentive to the needs of his guests.
We enjoyed all the beaches, especially Spring Bay and Savanah Beach. It's a quick trip down to Leverick Bay Resort for a swin and dinner or a drink. We found everyone to be friendly and enjoyed many of the restaurants. Sugar Cane was one of our favorites."

"Don't make the same mistake that we made by booking Sea Dream for a week. The reason is simple--a week is not enough time to enjoy all that Virgin Gorda and this villa have to offer. With only a week to enjoy the local beaches and to do some island hopping, we did not have enough time to thoroughly enjoy all the amenities right at our fingertips--the heated salt-water pool and the extensive verandas with panoramic views of Leverick Bay. Fortunately, we did have a chance to briefly enjoy the views as we ate our breakfast before heading off for some adventure. We would especially like to thank Letica who promptly responded to our requests and made our car rental arrangements before we arrrived. Although driving on Virgin Gorda was a challenge, we found that the cost of a car rental was a fraction of what we would have paid for taxi fares. Our two top recommendations--Savannah Bay and the Bitter End Yacht Club that is available by free ferry service from Gun Creek."
