  • Paradise

"We stayed at Gestalt at Steele Point this past week to celebrate my 50th birthday. I would suggest paradise is an understatement, and the better description should be UTOPIA. From the panoramic vistas from each room, the outdoor showers, the gourmet outdoor kitchen along with the close proximity to the ferry makes this villa an ideal vacation home to stay with family or friends. Irina should be proud of her property, and vacationers should feel lucky to have the opportunity to rent such a beautiful estate."

  • Absolute Paradise!

"If your looking for the absolute most beautiful sunsets, quiet serenity, turquoise waters and exceptional surroundings, then this is the place for you! This was our second time staying in this villa, and when we discussed where to go when deciding on another island vacation, there wasn't any question as to what the answer would be, HIGH POINT on the beautiful island of Tortola. It's a stones throw from five different islands and much more tranquil and less touristy than St Thomas or St John, but does have quite a bit of shopping and tourist areas if you travel the 35 minutes east to Roadtown. We did take a few road trips to Roadtown and although it's quite busy, and easily accessed, it's easier to navigate during the day versus after dark. One of the many reasons we loved this villa is because of it's location. With beautiful (almost) 360 degree views, it's quiet and secluded and more room than you know what to do with. It's decorated superbly and is very homey. Soper's Hole is a wonderful little spot to visit and is on the west end of the island, easily seen from the villa's deck. With it's many boardwalk shops, boating/diving and snorkeling day trips you can take, or stopping at the famous Pusser's restaurant and bar, it's the perfect place to stop for lunch and enjoy a Pusser's "Pain Killer". There is also a local market which has everything you need (make sure you go upstair too) without traveling to Roadtown, it is an easy 5-7 minutes from the villa. There is also a wonderful outdoor bar and restaurant directly across the bay called The Fish-N-Lime Inn, which serves great lunches and evening specials of fresh fish and home made entrees. Check out the silver Tarpon, baby sharks and sting rays that swim at the end of the dock, awesome! You can also tour the island in one of Jerry's car rentals, making sure to visit the north side of the island where there are numerous beaches and small local villages. You can also catch the ferry and buzz over to Jost Van Dyke, where your first stop has to be Foxy's bar just walking distance up the road or grab a taxi and hit the beach at White Bay beach, beautiful! If you just want to lay back and do nothing, this villa is the perfect place with every amenity imaginable. Soak, swim, take a nap, or just relax and watch the most amazing sunsets while dining at home, Doug and Linda have made their home warm, inviting and cozy, there is no better place! There's not enough stars for this place, truly Paradise!!"

  • What a Mistake We Made

"Don't make the same mistake that we made by booking Sea Dream for a week. The reason is simple--a week is not enough time to enjoy all that Virgin Gorda and this villa have to offer. With only a week to enjoy the local beaches and to do some island hopping, we did not have enough time to thoroughly enjoy all the amenities right at our fingertips--the heated salt-water pool and the extensive verandas with panoramic views of Leverick Bay. Fortunately, we did have a chance to briefly enjoy the views as we ate our breakfast before heading off for some adventure. We would especially like to thank Letica who promptly responded to our requests and made our car rental arrangements before we arrrived. Although driving on Virgin Gorda was a challenge, we found that the cost of a car rental was a fraction of what we would have paid for taxi fares. Our two top recommendations--Savannah Bay and the Bitter End Yacht Club that is available by free ferry service from Gun Creek."

  • There are no words...

"I feel that the English language is failing me as I try to describe the perfection of Karensa. Me and my husband have been to many gorgeous places in this world, and this tops them all. The pictures are amazing and still don't do this place any justice. The only problem with Karensa is the depression you feel when it is time to leave. Ben was one of the most gracious, accommodating hosts we have ever had. There was even a chilled bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for us upon our arrival. Do yourself a favor...please quit looking at other places available for rent on Tortola right now and book Karensa. You won't be sorry. PS...rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The road to Karensa is not for the faint of heart, which makes it even more fun."
