"Da Blue House is a charming, impeccably clean, and well-equipped cottage in a friendly neighborhood where locals are quick to say hello and offer assistance. The location was a perfect spot for me and my college-aged daughters to explore the island. Sam and JC were easy to reach and made sure that we had everything we needed, then after our trip, returned our security deposit lighting fast. Two of the most beautiful beaches- Long Beach and Smugglers Cove- are just a few minutes' drive, and great restaurants like Cruzin, Palm's Delight, and Sugar Mill are within walking distance, with great views along the way. In fact, the sunset from Cruzin was a dream. Island driving is an adventure in itself. The crazy-steep hairpin curves on the way to Cane Garden Bay take some getting used to (beep your horn on the approach and take 'em wide). Loved the food and music at Quito's and killer BBQ at Elm's. Being the off-season, we frequently found ourselves alone or with few others on beaches and in restaurants, except at the Baths, which despite the relative crowds, is still a must-see. Also recommend sailing and snorkeling with Gary on Karalu- excellent service and lunch on board. The highlight of our trip was breakfast with Mr. Egbert Donovan, just up the street at the North Shore Shell Museum. Be sure to call or visit him first to make a reservation. Mr. Egbert served up fabulous mango, banana, and coconut pancakes, mango smoothies, and charming tales of island life, as well as a tour of the "museum". Best of all, he strummed his guitar, sang original songs, and gave us instruments to play along. Priceless. One thing to note if you're a light sleeper- roosters and light traffic may keep you awake at Da Blue House, but once you relax and get in your island groove, it's all good. Truly fantastic …we’ll be back. Thanks Sam and JC!"Guest: laurie b. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 7, 2014View listing
"What a beautiful view from atop the mountainside! It felt like we could fall right into the sea below. Many gorgeous sunsets! And the perfect experience was the warm hospitality when we arrived and the helpfulness ahead of arrival from the friendly owners. Nicely appointed. Would definitely recommend and stay again."Guest: PST Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: September 10, 2014View listing
"The villa was very well suited for our family of 8 including 2 kids with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom as well as plenty of space to spread out in. Jon and Rohan met us at the West End Ferry dock with our rental vehicle as well as another car for our luggage and away we went on our vacation adventure. Jon bought us roti's from D'Coalpot for our first dinner and the frig was well stocked with breakfast items for the next day which was most appreciated. The view from the open air spaces are breathtaking especially with almost daily morning rainbows! We spent our days exploring different beaches ( our favorites were Cane Garden when no cruise ships are in and Josiah Bay for boarding)and our nights gathered around the big dining with table eating Caribbean dinners prepared by our oldest son and playing dominos and cards. We would not hesitate to recommend this villa and found Jon to be very accommodating whenever we called with a question. We hope to return soon to Tortola and the Limeberry Villa"Guest: Christine R. "Fantastic stay at Summer Heights. Listing is accurate for all information. We had 12 people in our party, and the property accommodated all our needs, it was the perfect base in Tortola. We actually only had dinner out a couple nights, as the kitchen was great and it was so enjoyable to cook in and make cocktails and be able to look out at the incredible view Summer Heights offers while the kids played in the pool. The bedrooms are spacious and great for kids and adults. Great sound system with clear instructions, and computer and wi-fi. Rosalind and Barry answered all our questions prior to arriving and were a great help with island information. Dian met us at Jerry's Car Rental and guided us to the house and gave us a great orientation. Close to Nanny Cay and Road Town, but far enough away to be totally secluded. We explored many islands in the BVIs on our vacation, and at the end of each day it was great to return to Summer Heights and relax, enjoy the view of the islands (and the stars), listen to the night sounds, and totally chill and escape the rat race. We highly recommend Summer Heights!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: January 11, 2015View listing
