"We dream about our times at Stargazer all the time! We had visited three consecutive years, but it had been 15 years since our last stay... Now, with both children at ages where we knew they'd love it as much as we do, we returned to find this perfect getaway better than our memories served us! The home is spacious, clean and recent upgrades are obvious - bathrooms are beautiful - each room has its own private deck, and the views from every part of the home are a dream. The kitchen has everything (and more!) than you'd ever need. The whole visit is an adventure and we love every minute of it - whether it is snorkeling or diving from the boat or bone fishing on the flats or driving up the jungle road to the house, watching the sunset and stars from the top of the island (where the house so ideally sits)... If you like a little bit of adventure and want to do something a little different, this is the place for you! You can get away from it all at Stargazer... while having the comforts of home! A great asset of the location is the proximity of the (relatively) new development on Scrub Island. The Marriott-run resort has lots of amenities that we used - Dive BVI is an amazing dive shop. Since we dove on our own most of the time, they filled tanks for us twice a day and took us on some wonderful dives (that were a little too far for us to take the boat to!)... we used the market almost daily to pick up supplies, deli meats, and basic things, and we ate at the restaurant a few times (which was very good). 15 years ago, Scrub wasn't developed. Now, you've got Marina Cay and Scrub for resources. We couldn't recommend this property more - we adore it and can't wait to return next year!"Guest: skiscuba Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 20, 2014View listing
"Beautiful villa on a beautiful island with an outstanding view! We stayed with 2 other couples and the villa was perfect. Everyone had space for their own privacy and plenty of room for group gatherings too. The owner met us at the ferry dock and gave us helpful information for our stay. Highly recommend staying at Myrna's Villa...can beat the sunsets from the patio's."Guest: Quincy travelers Date of Stay: February 2012 Review Submitted: April 20, 2012View listing
"Villa Delle Palme was a dream. The managers were wonderful. Anticipating all of our needs and more. From meeting us at the airport, helping us with our rental car, having groceries for us upon arrival, etc. My husband and I stayed there with our three children who range in age from 20 - 28 years old. The property was spotless. The pool was beautiful. There were gadgets at our disposal that we don't even have at our own house. We were able to take day trips to Virgin Gorda, Norman Island and more. I would highly recommend this house to friends, relatives and others."Guest: Lisa Date of Stay: December 2012 Review Submitted: January 15, 2013View listing
"If you don't expect luxury and just need a place to hang your hat and sleep off the day's activities, this is a great choice. If you want comfort and luxury - not so much. This is as basic as it can be. The location is beautiful. The photo you see on the page is to the east. They don't show you the view to the north which is the open Caribbean, or to the west which is a beautiful view of Jost Van Dyke. While this is, technically, ocean front, it is not beach front. The property is about 15 feet above the shore line, but in this case the shore is rocks and boulders. You will have to walk about 200 yards to get to beach access. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks is either soothing or unsettling depending on how high the swells are. I can tell you that some nights the sound was loud enough to wake me - and other nights it lulled me into a peaceful slumber. There is no A/C. You will have to rely completely on ocean breezes and fans. There is no oven (probably a good thing considering the heat they give off), but there is a cook top and microwave. The bed linens are a bit on the scratchy side. If you've had too much sun or have very sensitive skin this can be an issue; otherwise, you should adapt quickly. The outside patio is the best part of this property. Again, it is just the basics, but it where we spent most of our time when we were there. You can sit in the sun or the shade and just watch the world go by. This location is very convenient to some of the best beaches in the BVI, as well as the best dining. Great food and drink are never more than a 10 minute car ride away. One more tiny issue that may be relevant to some travelers - this is not an accessible property. You must go down a narrow and fairly steep staircase. If you have mobility issues, this is not a good choice."Guest: BVI Fan Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 9, 2014View listing
