  • Wonderful apartment

"This apartment had it all. The location was amazing, just a short walk up the hill from an excellent beach. And the unit itself was much bigger than we had expected -- with 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining room, a large living room, a patio and a balcony. The views from the unit were also mesmerizing; we'll never forget looking out at the ocean for sunsets on the balcony, a glass of rose or a bottle of beer in hand. There's also a nice pool that guests can use -- perfect for a quick dip after going to the beach. Heather was a gracious and very accommodating host, too. She is very helpful with restaurant suggestions, so don't miss the Coal Pot, which is just a short drive away. In general, we would recommend that anyone staying here rent a car. We would also recommend that you bring or buy bug spray because there are quite a few mosquitoes."

  • Postcar view,

"Wow, what a view, what a great villa!!! We are strongly recommend it to any one one who is seeking peace and quite and getaway from city madness. First af all we would like to thanks so much owners Doug and Linda for great communication and flexibility in making this dream come thru vacation reality. My wife and our 13 old son enjoy being there a lot and definitely will come back again and again. Photos that are posted on website don't do justification of this great place. Villa it self is very clean, well equipped and orginize. What ever you need it is there. There were days that we have not leave villa, just stay there swim relax and listen to great music with fantastic view and warm breeze. Road to get to top were villa so located is fun, but definitely you need good, strong 4x4 vehicle with good tires and breaks. Jerry car rental were great as well. They pick us up from airport at 8pm with smile and welcome. Great service and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for good rental company and great prices. The sunsets were spectacular, while were sipping slowly red wine. Something to remember, and on top of it swim in colourful warm cristal pool at night and Jacuzi. Fantastic time in fantastic place. Strongly recommend to anyone and you will not be disapointend. Arthur and Dorotka"

  • Stress Free Vacation at Villa Matija

"If you are looking for a stress free vacation, this is the place. Tom and Jessica unpacked our grocery delivery before our arrival, and met us at the airport with our rental car. This was a lifesaver since we arrived after dark and Tortola does not have any road signs. He lead us straight to the house and gave us a quick rundown of the area. The house is amazing, fully furnished with everything we needed. It was also nice having two completely private master suites. The pictures simply do not do the view justice. The clear view of Jost and Sandy Cay, coupled with the water in Brewers Bay is breathtaking. While there probably isn't a bad view on the entire island, Tom and Jessica's added efforts to make our stay as easy as possible make Villa Matija an excellent choice. Highly recommended."

  • Fabulous!

"Our family of 5 stayed here for 4 days and were very, very pleased. From the house, it is a short walk to the entrance to the Baths and the Mad Dog eatery. In the backyard are some wonderful boulders that are fun to climb. The various decks and patios are a delight to have dinner or late night drinks on. The kitchen had everything you need. We would have preferred air conditioning, but there were ample fans to keep you cool enough. Howard was a pleasure to work with, answering every question and meeting us at the dock and putting a few things in the fridge to start us off. The ability to go the Baths early and late, thus avoiding the boat crowd, was magical. Howard had mentioned that the 5th and 6th beds were child-sized, but our 5'4" daughter slept comfortably enough in one of them, with an inch or two to spare."
