"As others have posted, the pictures don't do Casa Allamanda justice. My husband and I spent a week in the house and on the island and felt 'at home' with all the amenities provided. Nothing more relaxing than lounging in the pool or sitting on one of the many decks and watching the sunset over JVD. We would highly recommend this house and location and can't wait to plan our next trip. Freddy is awesome to work with and the communication was fantastic!"Guest: Tracy S. "“Where do we begin singing our praises of this marvelous place? We were in complete awe of the villa from the pictures we saw, but they truly don’t do the place justice. You feel like you own the cliffside and bay - so secluded! We had hurricane scare at the beginning of our trip, but we were completely taken care of. Germaine called numerous times to make sure we were okay. The best snorkeling was in our bay. We spent so much time playing in the pool. The view was so spectacular from the pool we never wanted to get out. We had four incredible Scuba Dives to Ginger Snaps, Middle Chromis, and the RMS Rhone (a must!). Because we loved our villa so much, we cooked most of our meals at home. We hope to return to this beautiful piece of paradise SOON! It was the absolute perfect home away from home!"Guest: D Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 25, 2014View listing
"It's almost impossible to describe Casa Rocalta, a villa of five separate structures, embraced by lush foliage and tiered among giant boulders incorporated into the dramatic architecture of each building. At the center, a luxurious pool and upper porch offer respite from the midday sun and breathtaking views of the sea. Casa Rocalta is truly a paradise, from the perfectly appointed accommodations to its breathtaking views. Only the spectacular neighborhood attractions (the beach just down the road for swimming and snorkeling, and the awesome Baths, a short walk up the road) could lure us away. We did visit area highlights, our favorite being our drive to the north end for dinner on Saba Rock. Honestly, it took an occasional mosquito or no-see-um bite to remind us we were not in Paradise."Guest: Kathleen S. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 3, 2014View listing
"How to begin? There is something so truly special about this place, it's almost impossible to describe. You feel it the moment you set eyes on it. What you see is truly amazing. The home itself is spectacular; beautiful architecture, crazy views everywhere you turn, the kitchen, the pool, the outdoor shower. To wake up in the Master Bedroom and look out over Little Bay from your bed, is totally spectacular. The beach was basically private, a short walk or very short drive down the hill. Tortola itself is a lovely little island - the residents were friendly and always helpful, driving was an adventure to be sure, there was a convenient grocery store and plenty of good restaurants. Here's the thing though, the Magic Castle Villa is so much more than a list of its attractive parts and amenities. First there's Eva. We love Eva. As all the other reviews have said, she really is the heart and soul of the place. In addition to being very helpful and knowledgeable, she's so kind, such a warm spirit, and it's that spirit (at least we've decided this) that gives the place that special something. Rocket and Stanley (the totally cool and not at all intrusive dogs) were great also! My girlfriend was skeptical at first when I found this place, and then when I sent her to the website she was thinking "Magic Castle? Oh come on." The pictures were pretty amazing, but she's a skeptic by nature, and needed to see it for herself. We turned that corner onto the property, and we could literally feel stress melting off of us. We had a difficult few months before our visit and to see Tiff lay in the hammock and truly relax all week, was worth ten times the price. I'm telling you, do whatever you have to do to visit this place. If it's booked for the next 200 days, get in there on day 201 - I promise you won't regret it. I've been a lot of places in my life, and this was the highlight. We were there for five days and I can honestly say that the last moments were as magical as the first. We look so forward to returning to this wonderful place and seeing our new friend Eva (and Rocket and Stanley). Tiff and I talked about this before we left - how much we wanted to come back - and we decided that we'd try, but even if we couldn't it would be okay. We had to leave, but we knew that this was one of those places that, even when you walk away from it, it always stays with you."Guest: Miles Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 23, 2014View listing
