Recent British Virgin Islands BVI reviews
"We recently had a fantastic trip to Tortola, BVI and spent 11 nights at Casa Luna. Graceann has a beautiful house with stunning views of the caribbean, smugglers cove and Jost Van Dyke island. On the day of our arrival Dian met us at the house, which is a very short though slow drive from the ferry terminal at West End. Dian is the housekeeper and is very pleasant. A week later she came by while we were out for the day, and did our laundry for a very reasonable price. Smugglers cove is just a few minutes down the hill. A beautiful spot for swimming and snorkeling. Very few people there, you can see the beach from the house. Driving on the north side is slow going on the dirt/gravel road. Rent a four wheel drive for sure. After a mile or two, once you get to Long Bay, the road is paved and is an easy drive to Cane Garden Bay. This is another beautiful place to visit with lots of restaurants and bars, great swimming, kayak or SUP rentals are available. We had lunch and drinks at Wyett's. Again no crowds and plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to choose from. At West End, which is where you'll go for groceries, dining, shopping, etc., is a 7 minute drive. Great places to eat and drink are Fish N Lime and Pussers. If you want to see more of BVI take a day sail with Mystique. They have group boats or private charters. Prices are reasonable. Keep in mind, if your coming from the US, everything is more expensive in paradise. The best part of the trip was staying at Casa Luna. Quiet, beautiful, paradise."Guest: Mike G. "I feel that the English language is failing me as I try to describe the perfection of Karensa. Me and my husband have been to many gorgeous places in this world, and this tops them all. The pictures are amazing and still don't do this place any justice. The only problem with Karensa is the depression you feel when it is time to leave. Ben was one of the most gracious, accommodating hosts we have ever had. There was even a chilled bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for us upon our arrival. Do yourself a favor...please quit looking at other places available for rent on Tortola right now and book Karensa. You won't be sorry. PS...rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The road to Karensa is not for the faint of heart, which makes it even more fun."Guest: Melissa F. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 21, 2014View listing
"We cannot thank Jan enough for the amazing hospitality. The place was amazing, spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. The view was the most relaxing and wonderful. The beach was basically ours for the 5 days we were there. I would joke that it was crowded when we saw 2 people on it. I would recommend a car because the island is an amazing place to explore."Guest: Julie M. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 23, 2014View listing
"We stayed in this villa for 11 nights in May 2014. Other than the view from up at Hog Heaven the view from the front deck (and living area, and bedrooms!) of this villa has to be one of the best on the island. The villa comes with all the amenities you need with a great location from which to explore the island. You are right at the Leverick Bay resort, which has many activities...plus you can get the Saba Rock ferry over to Saba Rock for happy hour and Tarpon feeding. We did day trips to many of the beaches on the island; the Baths, Spring Bay, Savannah Bay, Mahoe Bay, Long Bay and the list goes on! Bucks Market at the Spanishtown Marina was more than sufficient for all of our in house food/beverage needs and the small market at Leverick Bay was stocked much better than I had thought it would be. We will be back to this lovely spot!"Guest: Chris O. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: July 24, 2014View listing
