  • PERFECTION!

"Island Dream is just that...a total dream! We spent two weeks in the Virgin Islands for our honeymoon. One in the USVI at The Westin doing the whole resort vacation and then ferried over to the BVI's and rented Island Dreams for a week - definitely our favorite part of the trip. The house is beautiful! More than enough room for two people and would be great for four; can't wait to go back with another couple! Everything was spotless. Mary & Rob have maximized every inch of outdoor space. Gorgeous gardens, big main deck for meals with the best view of the other islands, a smaller deck in the gardens where we sat and had many afternoon happy hours, balconies off both rooms (the views!) and THE POOL - the best part of it all! So fun having our own secluded pool as it is completely private from the street since it's surrounded by all the amazing tropical plants and flowers. And showering under the stars in the outdoor showers - what more could you ask for? Kitchen is small, but does just the trick. Well equipped with everything you'll need. (Shopped at Rosey's daily!) Air conditioning in the bedrooms works great, tons of books, beach chairs for use, directions/recommendations for the island and everything was decorated just as you'd want your island getaway to be. The entire process was so easy from booking with Mary, to meeting Irma at the dock, helping us with our rental car and taking us to the house. Howard checked on us a couple times throughout the week. It is the perfect way to feel completely away from it all, without feeling helpless. A car is a must - while the island is very small, you'll need it to get from end-to-end and up the hills. One of our favorites things to do was drive just up the road from the house to Hog Heaven for the AMAZING view and BBQ. Savannah Bay is also just a quick drive away and is BREATHTAKING. The Baths are a must, eating + dancing the night away around the fire at CocoMaya is something I'll never forget. Watching World Cup at The Rock with all the locals was so fun (everyone is SO NICE), romantic dinner at Chez Bamboo, sunset at Top of the Baths, ferry over to Bitter End Yacht Club. The island seems so desolate, yet we found so many fun things to do...but our favorite was always coming back to Island Dream. Evening walks in the neighborhood were beautiful and there's also a pool and bocce court at the "club house" in Nail Bay which was an added bonus. Island Dream is the definition of paradise - can't wait to return!"

  • wonderful home

"our stay at tamarind villa was absolutely wonderful. when we arrived, tiina was at the airport to greet us and take us by the store to get supplies. she then took us on to the house and gave us the tour. she was not intrusive at all which we greatly appreciated and she answered the phone immediately and gave great advice when we called her. we have traveled to many islands over the last 15 years and this is the only house that we have stayed in that truly was cooled by the trade winds! I am an A/C gal, and I never once turned it on at tamarind villa. those who know me, know that is saying a lot. my sister and I truly mourned the loss of the feel and sound of that glorious breeze blowing through our rooms at night! the house was also one of the most well stocked houses we have stayed in during our travels. the owners have taken great care to make sure you have what you need for beach time, pool time, and so on. the views of leverick bay from the house are just beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sail boats and yachts come in and out of the bay each morning and evening. it was also so fun that we could hear and enjoy the music and fun going on down at jumbies some nights. we went down to jumbies one evening and it happened that the travel channel was there filming a show about Michael beans the singing pirate. what unexpected fun for us!! we also loved watching the beautiful hummingbirds, bananaquits and the pearly-eyed thrashers that stayed around the house and pool. we were amazed when we put out sugar water as suggested by the owners. the bananaquits just flocked to it. so fun to watch and to video! this was our second visit to beautiful virgin gorda and I don't know if we will get back there again as we have so much more to see and explore, but if we were to go back...we would definitely stay at tamarind villa. thank you so much for the use of your wonderful home! don, tammy and dee"

  • Amazing Family vacation!

"My family and I just spent 4 wonderful days at the Cane Garden Bay Cottages. It was clean and very comfortable. What we loved most was the wonderful yard right outside our door. My 9 and 10 year old children had so much fun reading under the big trees and hammock. They also enjoyed collecting almonds that had fallen from the trees and playing "almond ball" A wonderful family vacation memory! My husband and I especially loved how close it was to the beach, local restaurants, the small market and the glass blowing studio. We didn't bother renting a car. Walking everywhere was really nice. Staff was friendly and right there any time we had questions. Thank you Cane Garden Bay Cottages for an unforgettable family vacation! We'll definitely be back!"

  • The perfect BVI getaway!

"We just returned from our stay at Casa Luna and our all too short visit to the BVIs. Casa Luna is simply THE perfect place for a relaxing, peaceful vacation. We enjoyed that it was remote enough to be private and quiet, but so close to the West End and even the other coves along the north coast - Long Bay, Cane Garden Bay, etc. Definitely take our advice and the suggestion of other reviewers and get a Jeep for this fun adventure that awaits you. The roads are rough and windy, littered with hairpin uphill turns, but it's such a fun ride with the most amazing views - you have to do it! Casa Luna itself is an amazing home with all of the amenities you could possibly need. We enjoyed the pool floats and snorkel gear being available - very convenient and all in great working order. The outdoor living space was perfect for lounging over morning coffee or an evening cocktail with plenty of shade if desired. The open air kitchen is very well equipped and we took advantage of the beautiful setting and cooked lunch and dinner several nights (great outdoor grill too) There were 4 of us, so we used the two upstairs bedrooms and it was perfect having our own spaces. The furnishing throughout Casa Luna are comfortable and clean and make you feel right at home. Graceann was extremely accommodating during our booking process and Janet was wonderful in getting us to the villa and settled in. There was even a bottle of iced champagne waiting when we arrived (to celebrate our 20 & 15 year anniversaries) which was an extra thoughtful touch! The only problem with our stay was that it was too short - we'd love to come back! Enjoy!"
