"Villa Matija was everything we could ask for. Tom & Jessica were very nice. They met us at the airport on Tortola and led us to the villa. They explained everything we needed to know about the villa and gave us some tips about the island. Road Town and Brewers Bay are close, and just about anywhere else on the island was a reasonable drive. The villa was spotless, had all the modern amenities you would expect in a 7 year old villa, and everything was in great condition. The view of Brewers Bay and Jost Van Dyke from just about anywhere in the villa is absolutely amazing. Thank you, Tom & Jessica, Villa Matija is amazing and we will definitely come back if our travels bring us back to Tortola."Guest: Eric & Tracie Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 10, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful time on Tortola. The Van Dyke House was exceptional. Very unique layout. Attractive views and great tropical breezes. The sound of the waves rolling in is so relaxing. The beach is beautiful and quiet. Wear End has a terrific little grocery store and a day sail on Kuralu was worth every penny. The restraunts close to the Van Dyke House were very good. Its a short walk but a steep climb up from the beach."Guest: Roger Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 24, 2014View listing
"The one bad thing about Villa Towanda was that it spoiled every other location that my friends and I visited! The views from the villa are incomparable, and the vibe in the house is intimate, relaxed and comfortable. After a day at one of the beaches or out on the water, there was no other place that we wanted to be than Towanda. Period. We cooked in the open kitchen almost every night and sat on the terrace for sunset and moonrise. The view across the bay to Jost is unsettlingly beautiful. I will definitely return. There were so few people at Long Bay beach (just at the bottom of the road!) that it felt like a private beach. No kidding. If you're looking for great restaurants, this may not be the place for you. The Sugar Mill was very good for dinner, and D'Best Cup in Soper's Hole was great for breakfast. Everything else we found was mediocre, but that really didn't matter to us because, as I said, we found we were happiest cooking at home and being mesmerized by the views. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, btw. The owners and managers were extremely kind and helpful as well."Guest: Ken F. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 19, 2014View listing
"We had a fantastic time and the condo is everything the other reviews said---so I won't repeat. Connie was great to work with and offered helpful information before we left home. Hope to return soon!"Guest: Steve B. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: November 7, 2014View listing
