"We had a fabulous time! There are a couple of very minor flaws which I may be the only one to notice, like an inoperative bathroom window and a few fogged thermo-panes, only one of which was annoying. It is listed as limited accessibility, but I am handicapped and found NO inconvenience. Our healthy offspring thrived on the available walks and walking access to the village and other destinations. Ten mile excursions for them were a daily occurrence and thoroughly enjoyable. We never used the air-conditioning because the ventilation is remarkable. Our children, however, found the upper floors more comfortable for sleeping with it on; they are late sleepers and the island's plethora of feral chickens woke them a bit early. We ARE returning!"Guest: Thomas K. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 25, 2014View listing
"We loved this house. The kitchen was well supplied. The staff were very kind. Loved the trail to the dock. Had two kayaks delivered for the week right to the dock. The snorkeling was great. Could have sat there forever watching the boats go by."Guest: Jean G. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 24, 2014View listing
"Everything was amazing! Jon met us at the ferry docks to escort us up to the house and the first impression was stunning. All open air courtyard and kitchen and eating areas adjacent to the refreshing swimming pool. The refrigerator was stocked when we arrived with anything we could have needed - fresh fruit, bread, eggs, milk, juices and pops, bottled water, pancake mix, etc. The house was perfect for four adults and two children, one of them a 6 month old. Jon went out of his way to make sure the baby was comfortable with a cute crib in our room, a high chair, and pack and play, toys and even provided diapers and juice for the baby! Walking distance to Smugglers Cove and Long Bay (as long as you can handle hills :) ) and the beaches were beautiful and quiet. My family and I had a fantastic time, I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend anyone to stay there. We even met someone at the beach and brought them back to show the house as they were interested in coming back this winter with their children. Highly recommended!"Guest: Mackel77 Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 28, 2014View listing
"This was by far THE most spectacular place we have ever stayed and considering we have stayed on Tortola before, done sailing charters through-out the islands, and stayed on several other Caribbean islands this speaks highly of the lovely Captain's House! We loved the BananaKeet and their blended BananaKeet drink! We dined at the delicious Sugar Mill. We enjoyed exploring the island and taking water shuttles to Jost Van Dyke and Peter Island. However, the best part of the trip was being at The Captain's House - relaxing, dining on the Lanai, swimming in the private pool, enjoying the spectacular views, and taking an outdoor shower! We love the personal touches with the watercolors and family pictures throughout the villa. Thanks for welcoming us to your villa, we truly felt at home and we hope to make a return trip."Guest: Susan Z. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 7, 2014View listing
