"Of all the places I've been in my well traveled life, I can honestly say that this is the only place I actually dream about. (That's gotta tell you something right there.) I absolutely love this place. And, I love Eva, too. She's definitely a big part of this place and your experience. (I can hear her laugh as I write this. She's got a genuine laugh that you won't soon forget.) Also, in my opinion, it's the best value you will find, anywhere. (I've ben staying there for around twenty years. I even got married there!) You'll come back home raving about how much you enjoyed yourself and how you can't wait to go back as soon as possible. I say this, truthfully, and I live in a beautiful home in Kona, Hawaii!"Guest: Mal Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 14, 2014View listing
"We spent an awesome week at The Blessing. Never having been to Tortola, we researched several locations on the island and finally chose Long Bay and The Blessing. It was the right choice. The villa was absolutely gorgeous and very private. The pictures do not do it justice. John and family were easy to deal with and arranged for us to be met at the ferry dock and shown to the villa. You definitely need a four wheel drive. The drive up to the villa is part of the island experience. We loved that the villa was a five minute drive from beautiful long bay beach and a quick ten minute drive to the West End for groceries and restaurants. We had a hard time leaving the villa enjoying morning coffee on the deck and lazy afternoons in the infinity pool over looking Jost. The villa was very well appointed with beautiful furniture, an awesome kitchen and a very comfortable bed. We hope to return soon and stay at The Blessing again!!!"Guest: Lynn G. "We loved this house. The kitchen was well supplied. The staff were very kind. Loved the trail to the dock. Had two kayaks delivered for the week right to the dock. The snorkeling was great. Could have sat there forever watching the boats go by."Guest: Jean G. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 24, 2014View listing
"This was by far THE most spectacular place we have ever stayed and considering we have stayed on Tortola before, done sailing charters through-out the islands, and stayed on several other Caribbean islands this speaks highly of the lovely Captain's House! We loved the BananaKeet and their blended BananaKeet drink! We dined at the delicious Sugar Mill. We enjoyed exploring the island and taking water shuttles to Jost Van Dyke and Peter Island. However, the best part of the trip was being at The Captain's House - relaxing, dining on the Lanai, swimming in the private pool, enjoying the spectacular views, and taking an outdoor shower! We love the personal touches with the watercolors and family pictures throughout the villa. Thanks for welcoming us to your villa, we truly felt at home and we hope to make a return trip."Guest: Susan Z. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 7, 2014View listing
