  • Caribbean paradise

"It's been a few weeks since we left Cayman Brac, I find I struggle to find words to do justice to the charm, beauty and warmth of this Caribbean paradise. We spent 2 weeks in your beautiful home, it truly felt more like a lifestyle than a vacation, you really make Tropical Run-A-Way feel like being home than a vacation rental. Photos can't do justice to the property, its really something you have to experience and it is in our opinion the best location and property on the Island. Everything we needed was there, you really have thought of everything, even a supply of books to exchange when I ran out. The wrap around veranda always gives you choice of sun or shade, the pool shades came in handy during the hot afternoon. We wanted a relaxation vacation and your property was the perfect place for that, the biggest decision of the day was which spot to lounge, the cabana, the hammock, the veranda or the pool. I wondered if being close to the airport was going to be a problem, it was definitely not intrusive at all, you hardly even notice it. The property has good separation from the house and the cottage so even when sharing the property there is lots of privacy. Thanks for the tip on renting the car, it helps to get out and about and see all the island. The island itself may not have the shear beauty of Turks white sand beaches and turquoise water, but Brac has a natural beauty of its own and the people who live there are what really sets this island apart. Every time we walked or drove down the road, people would wave as we passed, everyone was friendly, so interesting to talk to, they really make you feel welcome. It was a nice change, no crowds, no vendors pushing Time share brochures in your face or on the noisy beach vendors selling wares, just us and the hermit crabs. The island has very good drinking water and everywhere we ate we had great food. Shout out to Cesar and crew at Captains Table, we had the best lobster dinner we've ever had and the Super Bowl party was so much fun. The island is very safe, clean, and you just can't beat the weather. We don't dive, but met lots of people who dive, so I think we'll put that on the bucket list. We were looking for a place to have a family vacation so we'll be coming back next year with the kids and grandkids, we can't wait to return. We haven't stopped talking about what a great vacation we had and how much we loved our time there."

  • Fun, comfortable, beautiful!

"This was a great vacation house, and Cayman Brac was a wonderful destination! We snorkeled all over the island, went rock climbing, explored caves, and just had an all around great time. My husband and I and our two granddaughters rented the three bedroom villa, which ended up being perfect. Two of the three bedrooms are on the lower floor of the adjacent building, which made it so that the early risers didn't have to worry about waking up the people who wanted to sleep in! Brac Beach Villas was extremely private, beautiful, and so serene, and the pool and beach were just a few steps from your door. Our granddaughters (6 and 10 years old) loved the beach AND the property in front of the villas, and they found an endless array of things to do. Finding coconuts, lizards, hermit crabs, shells, coral, etc.) We really didn't want to leave, and we all hope to go back soon, maybe with more family members next time! It would be super comfortable and convenient for an extended family to rent all three of the villas!"

  • Vacation Paradise - true Treasure

"Fantastic home to enjoy the beautiful island of Cayman Brac. Spectacular views from every window in this home. From views of the ocean to tropical island foliage. Spent our time scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, fishing and relaxing. Having a fulling stocked kitchen enabled us to cook our fresh caught fish, create meals that were enjoyed on the patio. The accommodations this home offered encircled us in island living, and comfort. We will be returning to this home and island paradise again. Thanks for sharing this home with us."

  • Vacation AWESOME!!!

"STUNNING beach front villa, all for us. Beach all to ourselves. Condos next door but never saw a soul. This house does indeed offer everything you could wish for, including Sasha. Henry was so helpful with all the tips for what to bring, cars rented ahead of visit, and checking to make sure we were pleased. Plenty of shade for these pale skinned people not to burn, from coconut trees to sun screens over pool. Landscaping was beautiful-like being on a tropical island! Grandkids kayaked, fished, swam, snorkeled, fell in pool and watched Elmo videos and World Cup games. Visited the light house on the "Brac" bluff where drop off to ocean is 140 feet. Very dramatic. Nature galore and such sweet people call this island home. If you are looking for a peaceful island without tourist traps, Cayman Brac is the place. Thanks Henry for sharing your abode."

The Caymans are widely hailed as one of the world’s top dive sites. The 100-foot plus visibility, warm ocean temperatures and magnificent coral reefs are just a few of the attractions. The rich marine life, impressive walls and wrecks scattered in the shallows complete the perfect dive destination. Here, the diving is not limited by the number of sites; rather it’s only the need to re-oxygenate your body that will keep you out of the water. You can also take the opportunity to advance your diving certification by doing specialty dive courses with one of the local dive schools during your stay. The wreck of a Cuban naval frigate was sunk off the north west coast is 1996 and is already an impressive artificial reef.

For those not comfortable with donning scuba gear, snorkeling offers a great alternative. Be sure to lather up with loads of sunscreen as once you’re in the water, you’re likely to stay there for hours on end. Brightly colored corals and millions of reef fish swirl around you in a magical dance.

The Caymans are also known as world-class sport fishing islands. Charters that take you out to the deep blue waters can easily be arranged from the marinas on Cayman Brac. Visitors are asked to respect the marine park restrictions and to not waste marine resources. Certain areas on the island are protected and charters will generally take you far away from these areas. However, if you are fishing on your own or from the shore, be sure to familiarize yourself with the marine park boundaries and regulations.
