  • What a great place to spend a holiday!

"We have been coming to Cayman Brac for 19 years, owned a house for a while but started renting again 6 years ago. We have been staying at Getaway for the last 3 years. Getaway and its host are delightful, very pleasant and accommodating. If you want to stay busy, there is plenty to do, if you want to relax and enjoy, the porch, beach and hammocks works too. The house and furnishing are clean, well kept and inviting. We highly recommend staying at Getaway."

  • Secluded location right on the beach!

"My friends and I hired out all units for a weekend getaway from Grand Cayman. It was absolutely perfect for a large group and Justyn & Claudia did a great job of making various arrangements for us for when we arrived. This is a great spot on the south side of the island. The break in the reef is a short swim out which made it ideal for a shore dive. I would definitely stay here again with a large group or even just hire one of the units for two. Thank you for a lovely weekend!"

  • Vacation AWESOME!!!

"STUNNING beach front villa, all for us. Beach all to ourselves. Condos next door but never saw a soul. This house does indeed offer everything you could wish for, including Sasha. Henry was so helpful with all the tips for what to bring, cars rented ahead of visit, and checking to make sure we were pleased. Plenty of shade for these pale skinned people not to burn, from coconut trees to sun screens over pool. Landscaping was beautiful-like being on a tropical island! Grandkids kayaked, fished, swam, snorkeled, fell in pool and watched Elmo videos and World Cup games. Visited the light house on the "Brac" bluff where drop off to ocean is 140 feet. Very dramatic. Nature galore and such sweet people call this island home. If you are looking for a peaceful island without tourist traps, Cayman Brac is the place. Thanks Henry for sharing your abode."

  • Once you go Brac - you'll want to go back!!

"I'm almost reluctant to write this review because I want to keep this gem all to myself!!! But Bonnie & Gene are wonderful people, so I'll do it for them! :) Their condo is immaculate! You will want for nothing! I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly both Bonnie & Gene were. They were easily accessible throughout my stay - and helpful from beginning to end! Also Jeff & Cathy - who work in the main office onsite were also great folks! As was Rohan - he was my coconut water supplier!! Right off the trees! I'll never drink canned again! I thought I was coming to the Brac to lay on that hammock you see in the pics - which I did - for about 1/2 hour total!! I ended up doing so much! Bonnie hooked me up with a tour guide (Keino) and he took me everywhere! He was the best and very knowledgable on Brac history, culture and spots to see! We happened to run into one of the other tour guides (TJ) who also is wonderful! He took a little time to show me some of the hidden chambers in one of the caves we were visiting! I also dove with Brac Scuba - they were wonderful - I hiked, I snorkeled, I ate native food (check out Star Restaurant for a real local treat) and ask around for Miss Sonya - she cooks great food too! You must stop at the bakery - the coconut rolls are done only once a week - so try and get some if you can! If you can, check out Atlantis - an artificial reef - done by artist J. Foots - statues he created from green materials (local sand etc) that he sunk 40 ft down and it's now become a man-made reef to dive - he still has more statues he will be putting in the water. He lives on the island and will tell you all about it if you run into him. I had adventures from day one to my last day there - I could go on and on - and guess what - I'm going back to the Brac - already have my plane tickets and Bonnie & Gene's condo booked! I can't wait! Thank you Bonnie & Gene! Can't wait to see you again!!"
