  • What a great place to spend a holiday!

"We have been coming to Cayman Brac for 19 years, owned a house for a while but started renting again 6 years ago. We have been staying at Getaway for the last 3 years. Getaway and its host are delightful, very pleasant and accommodating. If you want to stay busy, there is plenty to do, if you want to relax and enjoy, the porch, beach and hammocks works too. The house and furnishing are clean, well kept and inviting. We highly recommend staying at Getaway."

  • Couldn't Ask For Anything Better

"From being greeted at the airport by Sasha to our New Years Eve Dinner with owner Henry and his lovely Claire this was the perfect X-mas vacation. The house was as described, an oasis, our neighbors became friends and we hated to leave. Everything was perfect, from the price to the accommodations. Jerry and Mariana"

  • Great location, snorkel right off the dock!

"My family of four stayed there for a week and had a great time. The house has two bedrooms and one bath that has access to both rooms. The deck was great for watching the sunset every evening. We liked the hammocks for a afternoon nap. Great DVD selection! I liked that the house did not have regular tv. It gave our family time to connect, card games and movies! Kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a good meal. We snorkeled right off the dock and saw many interesting fish, a sting ray and the gunard! Glenn met us at the airport and lead us to the house. The housebook gives you all the information you need for your stay. They have provided kayak with lifejackets, snorkel gear if you don't want to take your own, a cooler, beachbag, beach towels. Fully equipped and I would recommend! I almost don't want to talk about our great time because I don't want the Brac to change. Everyone is so nice and laid back and no a tourist location!! You must try Pioneer Bakery for their bullas and cinnamon rolls!!!!!"

Cayman Brac Resorts Offer Access to an Underwater Heaven

The Caymans are widely hailed as one of the world’s top dive sites. The 100-foot plus visibility, warm ocean temperatures and magnificent coral reefs are just a few of the attractions. The rich marine life, impressive walls and wrecks scattered in the shallows complete the perfect dive destination. Here, the diving is not limited by the number of sites; rather it’s only the need to re-oxygenate your body that will keep you out of the water. You can also take the opportunity to advance your diving certification by doing specialty dive courses with one of the local dive schools during your stay. The wreck of a Cuban naval frigate was sunk off the north west coast is 1996 and is already an impressive artificial reef.

For those not comfortable with donning scuba gear, snorkeling offers a great alternative. Be sure to lather up with loads of sunscreen as once you’re in the water, you’re likely to stay there for hours on end. Brightly colored corals and millions of reef fish swirl around you in a magical dance.

The Caymans are also known as world-class sport fishing islands. Charters that take you out to the deep blue waters can easily be arranged from the marinas on Cayman Brac. Visitors are asked to respect the marine park restrictions and to not waste marine resources. Certain areas on the island are protected and charters will generally take you far away from these areas. However, if you are fishing on your own or from the shore, be sure to familiarize yourself with the marine park boundaries and regulations.
