  • GORGEOUS AND UNFORGETTABLE!!!

"My wife and I stayed in this condo in early April, 2015. Sunset Cove is close to Georgetown, about a 20 minute walk. The complex has a pool bar and good food and drink at reasonable prices. The unit is literally mere steps to the sand beach which is not crowded, clean, well-kept, and safe. The lagoon in front of the complex is wonderful for snorkeling, especially for beginners. The condo itself is exactly as it appears in the pix on the website. Clean, plenty of space, and all appliances and other amenities are in excellent working order. The housekeeper is wonderful and very attentive without being intrusive. The owner has marvelous suggestions on where to go and what to do and is immediately available in the event of any issues or questions. We will return!!! And not soon enough. Thanks."

  • Great Retreat!

"Julieanne, the owner, was very quick with her replies , and answered all of our questions fully. Our first task, when we arrived in Grand Cayman, was to pick up our rental at Budget(20% discount for those staying at Kaibo Yacht Club + it was right across the street from the airport!).The controls were on the right, and the signals and wipers were reversed, so I had LOTS of fun! In the three weeks we were there, I only had three oops situations , and the Camanians were very understanding. Upon arrival at the condo(about 40 minutes by car), we opened the door with the code given by Julieanne and entered a beautiful retreat. It is clean, well-furnished, and right next to the hot tub, pool, beach, pub/restaurant and also, just a short walk to Starfish Beach. I had to phone Barbara, the go-to person for the condo, for her to tell me that the lock works in reverse when locking! Enter the code, then turn the knob!! Barbara, her son and her grandson helped us with the dishwasher, taps in the kitchen and hot water adjustment. They were godsends! We used the foldout couch, as well as both bedrooms and everyone was comfortable. The airconditioning worked beautifully(and , with the heat and humidity, it was needed!). We went to the East End for dinner , groceries and sightseeing, to Rum Point for lunch and tourist shopping, to Spotts beach for snorkelling(sea turtles), used Fat Fish Excursions(thanks to Julieanne) for Stingray City and snorkelling on the reef , went on a brewery tour(Caybrew), and went to Georgetown for the fish market(Church st. N.), jewellery shopping and sightseeing. Three weeks were not long enough! One suggestion for the owner..... When renters are there for two weeks or longer, have a cleaning crew come in once a week just to spruce up the condo."

  • Awesome Ocean Front Condo w/ Great Views

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this unit in Grand Cayman. I, along with my co-pilot, flew a group of individuals to the island for four days of relaxation. Everything, I must say, was outstanding. Ollie Ebanks was very accommodating. She had no problem with our late arrival and was extremely helpful when I needed to make a call back to the U.S. to coordinate our customs arrival. The unit is very clean, equipped with everything I could ask for, and quiet. I appreciate the quiet, along with my sleep, more and more the older I get! My youngest child, age fifteen, says that I wake-up from the slightest of noises and I had no such interruptions while staying at your place. Again, thank you for allowing us to stay at your place! It was wonderful! I’d like to get my wife to Grand Cayman in the future and when I do I’ll certainly try and stay at this condo."

Grand Cayman Travel Tips

Get Away to Grand Cayman

When planning a tropical getaway, one of the first places that comes to mind is the Cayman Islands, perhaps Grand Cayman in particular. The Cayman Islands are nestled in the calm, crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. Just three small islands comprise the great Cayman Islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. All this glory and wonder is located just 480 miles south of Miami so it really is not that far away!

Getting to Your Grand Cayman Getaway

Grand Cayman travel is not as hard as you may think. A flight from Miami is just over an hour which means you can get to the Cayman Islands in virtually no time, especially if you live on the eastern seaboard. As you book your travel plans, regardless of your origin, it is good to know that the best airport to fly into is Owen Roberts International Airport, located on Grand Cayman. Every week there are almost 60 flights going into the Caymans which means your travel plans can be made to fit in with your busy lifestyle.

Activities for Your Grand Cayman Vacation

No matter your age, you will find plenty of activities to keep you busy while staying in Grand Cayman resorts. A Grand Cayman vacation is perfect for the entire family. The shared fun and experiences you will have really sets this destination apart from other tropical settings. While you can have plenty of fun in the sun on Seven Mile Beach, there are lots of new things to try as well. Grand Cayman is known for it scuba diving and underwater adventures. Both experienced divers and first-time snorkelers will have countless opportunities to get up close and personal with the deep blue sea. Check out Stingray City or shipwreck!

Activities for the Kids

A family vacation must include activities and adventures for everyone involved, even the kids! While most kids will love the beaches and everything the wonderful ocean has to offer, there is so much more to do on Grand Cayman. Remember, time spent in Grand Cayman vacation rentals means everyone can pick a day’s escape! Take the kids to play with the sea turtles at Boatswain’s Beach, skateboarding at Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park, or even aboard a real pirate ship! Just remember, even if you do not bring the kids along, you can still check these places out. There is no age limit to fun!

Getting Around Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is pretty small but all destinations are not within walking distance. Around George Town harbor, you will find a small area filled with plenty of shops and eateries where you can walk around but that is really about it. There are plenty of taxis, buses, and car rental offices. If you decide to rent a car, you must be 21 years of age. Additionally, remember to drive on the left side of the road and always wear your seatbelt! For those that do not want to rely on a rental car or public transportation, the option to rent a moped or scooter is perfect! Scooters are affordable and lots of fun.

Best Time for Grand Cayman

The temperatures range from 72 degrees F to 88 degreesF throughout the year, so feel free to plan a Grand Cayman adventure any time of year. Whenever you want to escape it all, book a flight! Warm and sunny all year means a Cayman vacation is hard to beat. Though it is perfectly fine to visit just about any time of year, your best bet is probably January, February, or March. During these months, the climate is at its mildest. There is not any daylight saving time either. So the difference in day length does not vary much between summer and winter.

Grand Cayman does have two rainy seasons, from May to June and then again from September to November. Though the rainfall can be quite heavy, the sun dries everything out quickly. You should plan your trip with hurricane season in mind. Remember, hurricane season runs from June through November, so it is best to avoid those months.
