  • EXACTLY!

"What is advertised here is exactly what you get! How refreshing is that in this day and age? My wife and I have friends and family that have been to the Caymans and we have waited to go for awhile. A beautiful condo directly on the beach that is very close to everything yet sits out of the hustle and bustle is what we enjoyed. Great view, good furnishings, and a great layout. It's also the little things that count. Ever rent a place and all of the cooking pans, utensils, mixing bowls, cookie sheets etc. we're the cheapest Dollar Store variety that money could buy? Not here...excellent quality cookware. We went down to the wharf and bought fresh fish from the vendors and cooked at the condo. Can't explain how nice it is to sit on that balcony, eat fresh fish topped with pineapple while you are having a drink with the love of your life. I recommend renting a small car as it gives you freedom to roam around. Extremely easy to drive and navigate. Great place to stay!"

  • Great vacation for our family of four

"This was our second time to Grand Cayman. This condo was very well maintained, tastefully updated and had everything we needed, including washer and dryer. The property management is very good. They are friendly, responsive and very helpful. The condo is right on the beach and the pool is also right in front. The snorkeling is amazing right in front of the condos. This property is located further away from the crowded tourist area, so it's more relaxing with plenty of beach space and lounge chairs. We have a 10 yr. old girl and 13 yr. old boy. They were never bored and loved being there. We did the jet ski excursion (sting ray city, rum point and starfish), which would have been VERY good (except we had terrible weather and fought 2-3 foot waves and rain...cold and rough). Otherwise, we just snorkeled and explored the coast. We rented a jeep to get around and explore other parts of the island, but the grocery store is within walking distance, if you don't want to rent a car. We will definitely come back. The pictures on VRBO are good, but don't do it justice."

  • Thumbs Up 7UP!

"Thumbs up 7UP! We just got back from a WONDERFUL first vacation to Grand Cayman. We were so happy we found this place. Well stocked, nicely decorated, very comfortable condo. Looks better in person than in the pictures! Our 9 year old daughter loved that it was stocked with floaties, buckets, shovels, nets, snorkels, etc. We didn't have to worry about spending money on these things at a nearby store and then have to leave them behind. The location away from the cruise ship hustle and bustle was exactly what we were looking for to relax. We loved taking out the kayak for a nice paddle from the Yacht club around Starfish Point and all the way to Rum Point and back. Arms were tired, but it was a great way to see the area from the water. R Point and Starfish point were so close we went everyday. At RP we swam, snorkeled, did the wave runner safari, catamaran tour to StingRay Sandbar, and so much more. R.P was never that crowded, drinks were cold, and we enjoyed many orders of conch fritters. Back at Kaibo we took advantage of the pool and hot tub in the evening. There were plenty of other kids around to play with our daughter and we felt at ease letting her run around with a flashlight at night looking for "stuff" in the water with new friends while we relaxed at the Kaibo Beach Bar which is literally, steps away. We took in the pizza night and the music and dancing at the Tuesday beach BBQ. Fun! We ate in the condo all but two evenings. 7UP provides everything we need to make just about anything you want in the kitchen. We loved sitting on the screened in balcony to enjoy our meals by candlelight or just hang out and drink coffee in the morning. We highly recommend the restaurant Upstairs at the Yacht Club. The tasting menu was delicious, décor perfect, and the service was outstanding. They even gave us complimentary champagne and dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary. Our 9 year old was even very impressed with her food. Speaking of children...there was plenty of privacy with the two bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo from each other. They are separated by the 2nd bathroom and a utility closet. The balcony also has 2 doors which enter the living room but also a private sliding door to the master bedroom. We could put her to bed and hangout on the balcony and access master bedroom and not disturb her coming in and out. Loved it! Locals are very friendly. We'll be back! Great stay Lynn!"

  • didn't want to leave

"I hate to say good things about our condo, don't want it to be booked next time we head to the islands. We loved the condo and the beach it was on. We will be back next year. By far the best place to be for sunsets. We loved it. The only negative- price of alcohol, bring a bottle or two with you and save a ton."

Grand Cayman Travel Tips

Get Away to Grand Cayman

When planning a tropical getaway, one of the first places that comes to mind is the Cayman Islands, perhaps Grand Cayman in particular. The Cayman Islands are nestled in the calm, crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. Just three small islands comprise the great Cayman Islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. All this glory and wonder is located just 480 miles south of Miami so it really is not that far away!

Getting to Your Grand Cayman Getaway

Grand Cayman travel is not as hard as you may think. A flight from Miami is just over an hour which means you can get to the Cayman Islands in virtually no time, especially if you live on the eastern seaboard. As you book your travel plans, regardless of your origin, it is good to know that the best airport to fly into is Owen Roberts International Airport, located on Grand Cayman. Every week there are almost 60 flights going into the Caymans which means your travel plans can be made to fit in with your busy lifestyle.

Activities for Your Grand Cayman Vacation

No matter your age, you will find plenty of activities to keep you busy while staying in Grand Cayman resorts. A Grand Cayman vacation is perfect for the entire family. The shared fun and experiences you will have really sets this destination apart from other tropical settings. While you can have plenty of fun in the sun on Seven Mile Beach, there are lots of new things to try as well. Grand Cayman is known for it scuba diving and underwater adventures. Both experienced divers and first-time snorkelers will have countless opportunities to get up close and personal with the deep blue sea. Check out Stingray City or shipwreck!

Activities for the Kids

A family vacation must include activities and adventures for everyone involved, even the kids! While most kids will love the beaches and everything the wonderful ocean has to offer, there is so much more to do on Grand Cayman. Remember, time spent in Grand Cayman vacation rentals means everyone can pick a day’s escape! Take the kids to play with the sea turtles at Boatswain’s Beach, skateboarding at Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park, or even aboard a real pirate ship! Just remember, even if you do not bring the kids along, you can still check these places out. There is no age limit to fun!

Getting Around Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is pretty small but all destinations are not within walking distance. Around George Town harbor, you will find a small area filled with plenty of shops and eateries where you can walk around but that is really about it. There are plenty of taxis, buses, and car rental offices. If you decide to rent a car, you must be 21 years of age. Additionally, remember to drive on the left side of the road and always wear your seatbelt! For those that do not want to rely on a rental car or public transportation, the option to rent a moped or scooter is perfect! Scooters are affordable and lots of fun.

Best Time for Grand Cayman

The temperatures range from 72 degrees F to 88 degreesF throughout the year, so feel free to plan a Grand Cayman adventure any time of year. Whenever you want to escape it all, book a flight! Warm and sunny all year means a Cayman vacation is hard to beat. Though it is perfectly fine to visit just about any time of year, your best bet is probably January, February, or March. During these months, the climate is at its mildest. There is not any daylight saving time either. So the difference in day length does not vary much between summer and winter.

Grand Cayman does have two rainy seasons, from May to June and then again from September to November. Though the rainfall can be quite heavy, the sun dries everything out quickly. You should plan your trip with hurricane season in mind. Remember, hurricane season runs from June through November, so it is best to avoid those months.
