  • Amazing Vacation Getaway!

"Before we even arrived to the Cayman Islands Mark was very helpful in answering all my question (and I had a lot of them!). Once we arrived the condo was exactly how he described it, nothing short of a perfect vacation. Away from the seven mile beach the area was perfect for all types of activities. The beaches at Rum Point were breathtaking and full of amenities. The condo was clean and well kept along with the grounds and beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. I cant thank Mark enough for giving us the opportunity to experience such an unforgettable vacation in the Cayman Islands. We will definitely be back soon!"

  • Great Family Oriented Beach Front Villa!

"My family and I recently traveled to Grand Cayman and had the pleasure of staying at Conquered Fame on Rum Point. If you've been to Grand Cayman before but never spent time on Rum Point, it is an absolute must! Away from the hustle of 7-mile beach, it is super laid back and has far superior snorkeling right off the beach. We had 7 adults traveling along with my 2-1/2 yr old son. Conquered Fame could not have been better suited to the group of us. Short of an IPOD dock, the house has all of the amenities that we needed for a relaxing beach getaway, including a washer/dryer. The beautifully landscaped entry to the house is so welcoming after a 7 hour trip from New York with a toddler. The entire north wall is glass so has excellent exposure and views of the sunrise each morning. The house is on the beach, and, while it can be pretty windy on the north side, is excellent for swimming. The wind actually makes the sun a little more bearable midday letting us lay out or play our own version of beach bocce (with coconuts). The barrier reef is about 100 yards off the beach and is phenomenal for snorkeling. We were able to see all sorts of fish, lobsters, rays and even a sea turtle right off the house beach! The restaurants in the area, are all true to island form, serving great seafood including conch in all forms (the lionfish ceviche at Tukka on the east end is incredible!). Rum point does a BBQ every Tuesday that should not be missed as well. All of the water related activities have departures directly from Rum Point, which, being walking distance from Conquered Fame, was extremely convenient. We did the bio luminescence kayak tour from Kaibo yacht club right up the road which was absolutely amazing and a must do! TJ and Therese have such a fantastic home in Grand Cayman. I can't picture staying anywhere else on any future visits to the island. Thank you both for facilitating a fantastic vacation for all of us. Best, Jon and family."

"I have spent many wonderful weeks in this fantastic waterfront Starboard Point house going back 20 years. It is the ultimate Cayman destination for rest and relaxation. The house sits on a west facing lagoon of about 20 - 24 other homes, most of which are privately owned and usually empty. There may be only 5 - 10 other families there at any one time. The sunsets are spectacular from the front of the house, which is only 40' from the water, while reclining on a chaise lounge. The cove is part of the Cayman Kai property, which is at the very end of the island road about 1 mile past Rum Point, a charming, local, native picnic, eating and drinking spot. Three of the four spacious bedrooms have waterfront (and sunset) views, two of which have a balcony or porch. The kitchen is superb by island standards and has just been completely redone. Our first stop upon arrival is to load up with groceries as we all like to cook and there are great grocery stores on Grand Cayman. One word of advice - all alcohol is very expensive on the island, so be sure to bring in the legal limit - 1 liter of rum, vodka, etc. per person or 4 liters of wine. (the blender works very well, but the ice maker may not be able to keep up if everyone is drinking frozen rum concoctions). All the floors are tiled, so there is no problem coming and going with wet feet. The beds are very comfortable, but the blender contributes to your relaxation. Even though you are the almost an hour from the bright lights of Seven Mile Beach, there are several good restaurants nearby; three within walking distance. Here again, absolutely everything on the island is imported, so eating out is expensive. Our favorite meal is a local spot on the water about 8 - 10 minutes east of the house called The Edge. Grate local seafood; the wine list is limited, so you might want to bring your own. There is a great public beach 1 - 2 miles east of the house which has very interesting snorkeling around large coral heads; good swimmers can also swim out to the reef, which circles the island and is outstanding snorkeling or diving. As we are now in our mid to late sixties, we spent most of our time on the large screen porch playing bridge or poker, playing the guitar and singing while enjoying a frozen rum punch. The whole house is clean and spotless; you will feel right at home. Don't miss spending time in the hammock hanging from 2 sea grape trees over the will never want to leave."

  • Beautiful relaxing time on the quiet side of the island

"We stayed here for 8 nights in August 2014 and had a great time. The place was accurately depicted on VRBO and was clean and well maintained. Nigel was very responsive and helped with all of our questions. We spent most of our time either at the beach or in the pool. We enjoyed kayaking, snorkeling and just laying out. Our daughter loved visiting nearby Starfish Point and seeing starfish (we saw ~10 or so). The Rum Point restaurant as well as the Wreck Bar and Grill are both within walking distance. The Kaibo bar/grill is also not too far and has the best mudslides we found in the area. The downside of the Rum Point area is that it is private and does not permit outside food/drinks into the area, so for those who wish to go on a picnic and BYO you can hit one of the public areas that aren't too far away (Starfish Point is good for this). Strongly recommend that you do your grocery shopping nearer the Airport at Frasers or one of the other nearby markets - bring a cooler for your cold stuff. We would definitely recommend a stay here to others and hope to some day have the opportunity to return."
