"This condo is the answer to your dreams. Quiet, safe, beautifully decorated , and meticulously cleaned. The grounds are well maintained and the complex lacks nothing. Everything you need is right in the area with the exception of a large grocery store. A Foster's express grocery is a couple of minutes down the road, but, you'll want to do your big shopping on the way east from the airport when you arrive.Once you're settled in, the express is fine for restocking the essentials, and a lot closer. There's also a well stocked liquor store next door. Think about passing on the Foster's grocery near the airport ( too crowded) , and drive east along the coast road to the small town of Savanna where there's a Foster's and a very nice shopping complex with a liquor store and a hardware if you forgot something. Rental car is a must. We used Budget, but, after the hassle of waiting over an hour due to the crowd on a Saturday, we will use Mccurley's next time.(see other reviews, or ask John ,the owner for details). The East end is perfect for our style of vacation. Very laid back, old school Caribbean flavor. Friendly people that are actually happy that you visited their island. A little courtesy and politeness on your part goes a LONG way! We made the trip to Georgetown a couple of times for the obligatory souvenirs, and couldn't wait to get back to solitude in the condo. Get to Georgetown around 9am and you'll beat the cruise ship rush( it takes quite a while for the ships to ferry that many people to shore 40 at a time by launch, so the crowds really don't get going 'till about 11:30). We ate most of our restaurant dinners in East end. Try Kurt's corner behind the condo at the intersection, Italian kitchen in the strip mall by Foster's express by Reef resort , Ms. Vivenes home cooking near Tukka's , or the Big tree barbecue ( east end in the owners front yard along the main road). The condo has a barbecue area with charcoal grills( pick up a bag of Match light charcoal on the way in when you buy your meat for grilling) and we did a lot of grilling in the evening so we could eat on the balcony and watch the ocean. Diving is right down the road at Ocean frontiers in east end or Red Sail in rum point or east end. Take your pick, they're both good. The beach is great in front of the condo with the lagoon being a nice touch for calmer swimming. Thanks John and Staci for everything, what pleasant people to do business with. We'll be back......"
