  • Best location on Seven Mile Beach!

"This was our third "girls" trip to Grand Cayman and the first experience with VRBO. The previous two times we stayed at the Ritz Carlton, and this time we were looking for something different. My daughter and I stayed in "Honeymoon Haven" and chose that condo because of it's location, and we could not have been happier. It is located right on the beach between the Ritz Carlton and Westin Hotels, and it's third floor beachfront balcony looks up and down Seven Mile Beach. It's very quiet and peaceful and shade trees provide relief from the sun when you want it. The beach at Villas of the Galleon is very quiet and uncrowded. The kitchen is well stocked although we have to admit we did not cook except for an occasional light breakfast---we did go to the Westin and Ritz for light lunches in their outdoor restaurants. The condo is a 10 minute walk to the grocery store, provides phones, and has all of the amenities mentioned in previous reviews. We feel like we made 2 new friends for life--Bob and AnnMarie (the owners of this condo). They were there during our stay, and we are so glad we had the chance to meet them. Whenever there was a question during the rental process they responded immediately. They sent a very extensive welcome letter and whenever we saw them on the beach they made sure we were happy with our stay. We never had to call for any reason, but it was nice to know they were on the property if we needed anything. During this visit we took the Bio Bay tour with Sea Elements (Mike) and that was interesting. We also visited the Cayman Turtle Farm and can't believe we had not done this on our previous 2 trips. We have also visited the Ugland Motor Museum--that was a real treat. There are a few restaurants that are right across the street--Sunshine Grill and Eats. Both are very casual but great for breakfast and a casual dinner. We have gone to lots of restaurants in Grand Cayman--have never had a bad experience. I would like to comment on the Ritz Carlton. We ate an early dinner there before the Bio Bay tour and dinner at "Seven" on our last night---they asked if were guests at the hotel and we told them "no". We were not treated any differently---the service there is always excellent and they go out of their way to make sure any experience there is memorable. We will definitely return to "Honeymoon Haven" as this is the best place ever to stay on Grand Cayman, and hopefully Bob and AnnMarie will be there watching the sunset!"

  • Excellent!

"My family and I (husband, 12 yo boy, 9 yo girl) stayed at Cocoplum during April break and had a wonderful experience. This trip was our sixth to Cayman, but our first staying in both a VRBO and near 7 mile beach. We typically stay on the East End because we like the slower pace and quiet beaches. I was honestly a bit worried we would find ourselves in the middle of 7 mile beach hubbub, but that was not the case -- the spot was perfectly situated so we could jump into the fun of the 7 mile beach and Georgetown area quickly and easily, but we could retreat to the oasis at Cocoplum and enjoy the pool, the sandy beach, etc. The condo is beautifully appointed, with every detail considered -- we wanted for nothing. Cris was responsive, warm and welcoming during our booking process, and thoughtfully checked in on us while we were there. It was plenty big enough for a family of four, and we were able to easily settle in and felt at home quickly. The only issue (and this was minor) was that the upstairs neighbor is quite heavy-footed and there’s not a lot of insulation in the ceilings. Thankfully, we didn’t spend too much time in the unit so it didn’t impact our experience too much. IMHO this unit is really the best unit at Cocoplum. We were able to keep a close eye on our kids swimming in the pool while we lounged on the lanai and our view of the ocean was unobstructed. We also had direct access to the lawn area, where our kids enjoyed playing. We will definitely return if Cris will have us!"

  • “7 Mile BeachComber - Comfortable Luxury in Paradise”

"Fantastic corner unit, with surrounding glass windows for a panoramic view of the beautiful beaches. We have travelled all over the Caribbean and 7 mile beach is the best. We saw 3 "Green Flashes" this week so absolutely perfect sunsets from the balcony. The unit is beautifully decorated in a clean refreshing tropical decor. WIFI everywhere, free calling to the U.S., great selection of movies, big screen TV'S, and a great blender for Piña coladas. We spent every morning snorkeling right out in front on the Beachcomber Reef and saw stingrays, turtles, eels, lobster, and every kind of tropical fish. We love the Beachcomber."

  • Fantastic location in SMB

"Wonderful villa on a quite beach with great swimming and snorkeling! Unit has great decor and kitchen is well supplied. The living area is large with a super deck with great views of the water. Bedrooms and baths are great with plenty of storage. Westin next door made renting a car a breeze and lunch and drinks easy. Red Sail Sports at the Westin has all your needs for Stingray city tours, snorkel gear, sailing or parasailing. Fantastic vacation rental."
