Great Place to Stay
"Family of four had a great in this condo, would return again without hesitation.
Residential complex at S. end of 7 Mile Beach area. Very friendly residents, including the iguanas, geckos & crabs that are always underfoot. Beach is small, & parts rocky, but considering the complex is not a tourist complex, didn't pose any problem. Had plenty of space for sand castle building and hanging out. There are chaise chairs but no umbrellas. VERY quiet place to stay.
No front desk or concierge, this was not a problem for us as we've been on Grand Cayman many times and know our way around, how to make activity arrangements etc. Very large supermarket just a few minutes away as is Camana Bay complex and all that 7 Mile Beach has to offer but minus all the bustle and noise.
Communal charcoal and gas grills; made friends w/ the locals during our BBQ dinners. The pool is really nice. Spacious, very clean, w/ a regular security guard (which wasn't really necessary but nice they are looking out for everyone). The pool has plenty of umbrellas to hang out under. I think there are tennis courts but we did not use them.
The condo itself was stellar. Perfectly clean, plenty of space. Great balcony w/ patio furniture, end unit right on the ocean. Much better equipped kitchen than what is normal (we always stay in a condo and most have spartan kitchens), this one is exceedingly clean and very well stocked well more than what we needed. Wonderful views.
Great place to stay. I don't like being stuck in a hotel on vacation and this condo was much better quality than most we stay in. Right down to tile showers (no plastic), granite counters etc. The unit is top notch. I don't require that on a vacation but it sure was a nice touch. Unless you're a traveler that likes the benefits of a pampering staff, concierge, etc, this condo is a great option in terms of quality and price.
The owner was really easy to work w/. Very responsive, did everything he said he would do, and his instructions for accessing the unit worked perfectly. I can't suggest any improvements. He even sent me an e mail during our stay asking how we were doing, and the local property manager greeted us at arrival, very friendly and appreciated that we had the peace of mind that if something went wrong (like a plumbing issue etc) that there would be help if needed.

"My family and I (husband, 12 yo boy, 9 yo girl) stayed at Cocoplum during April break and had a wonderful experience. This trip was our sixth to Cayman, but our first staying in both a VRBO and near 7 mile beach. We typically stay on the East End because we like the slower pace and quiet beaches. I was honestly a bit worried we would find ourselves in the middle of 7 mile beach hubbub, but that was not the case -- the spot was perfectly situated so we could jump into the fun of the 7 mile beach and Georgetown area quickly and easily, but we could retreat to the oasis at Cocoplum and enjoy the pool, the sandy beach, etc.
The condo is beautifully appointed, with every detail considered -- we wanted for nothing. Cris was responsive, warm and welcoming during our booking process, and thoughtfully checked in on us while we were there. It was plenty big enough for a family of four, and we were able to easily settle in and felt at home quickly. The only issue (and this was minor) was that the upstairs neighbor is quite heavy-footed and there’s not a lot of insulation in the ceilings. Thankfully, we didn’t spend too much time in the unit so it didn’t impact our experience too much.
IMHO this unit is really the best unit at Cocoplum. We were able to keep a close eye on our kids swimming in the pool while we lounged on the lanai and our view of the ocean was unobstructed. We also had direct access to the lawn area, where our kids enjoyed playing.
We will definitely return if Cris will have us!"

"My husband, daughter, and l just spent 9 glorious days in Grand Cayman, and had the pleasure of staying in unit 303 at the Georgetown Villas for the third time. John and Marilyn, the owners, could not be more accommodating, they were just an email away, and responded back promptly with any questions we had.
The thing we love most about the villas is the fact that you never need a car - from Kirk's grocery store, to Blackbeards to pick up a bottle of their fantastic rum, as well as the abundance of restaurants just steps away, who could ask for more!!
The condo has everything you could possibly need, the beds are comfy, and it is so great to have satellite TV for those days you don't want to sit at the beach/pool, and the view - well it is indescribable, something you have to witness!!
We have met and developed friendships with some fantastic people that frequent / own condos in the villas, and we cannot wait to reunite with them in the future!!
As far as noise goes, if you are looking for a party atmosphere, this is not the place for you, the only "noise" you hear are the waves slapping against the coral, who could complain about that!!
Many thanks John and Marilyn for giving us the opportunity to share your piece of paradise!!
Hope to return in 2017!"
