"This was a very pleasant surprise. We usually stay at the Westin next door because it has more activity and action for the kids. Well, as it turns out, my wife and kids prefer the quiet space and trees at the Galleon. The beach has enough chairs and lounges for everyone, its got much more space (so you are not on top of each other) and they even had a kayak for the residents which was a great toy for each of us to use. The grounds were well kept, the buildings in good condition and the unit was very well kept, well appointed and very comfortable. We had a great time, with just enough activity to keep everyone happy without feeling like we were being sandwiched between 1,000 guests at a large hotel. I would highly recommend this!!"

"Wonderful vacation!!! Beautiful beach, clean home, Ronnie the owner is very accommodating. We vacationed at the sundowner in October with 4 kids. Our kids are 11, 8, 6 and 6. The area where the home is is quiet and safe. The beaches are clean and calm. The sand bar goes out quite a ways, the water is crystal clear and there is a reef that is close by that we were all able to swim out to and snorkel. We will definitely be going back next year.
We rented a car which was helpful. There is a grocery store that is close by. We did a snorkeling trip with Captain Marvins that was terrific. We also went to the turtle farm, which was fun for the kids to see the turtles, snorkel and go down the water slide. The other days we laid by the beach and swam/snorkeled, it was peaceful and relaxing.
The residents of the condo are friendly and were pleasant to visit with, giving us the inside scoop on where the locals hang out, such as the restaurant Over the Edge.
We will be back. :)"

"My family and I (husband, 12 yo boy, 9 yo girl) stayed at Cocoplum during April break and had a wonderful experience. This trip was our sixth to Cayman, but our first staying in both a VRBO and near 7 mile beach. We typically stay on the East End because we like the slower pace and quiet beaches. I was honestly a bit worried we would find ourselves in the middle of 7 mile beach hubbub, but that was not the case -- the spot was perfectly situated so we could jump into the fun of the 7 mile beach and Georgetown area quickly and easily, but we could retreat to the oasis at Cocoplum and enjoy the pool, the sandy beach, etc.
The condo is beautifully appointed, with every detail considered -- we wanted for nothing. Cris was responsive, warm and welcoming during our booking process, and thoughtfully checked in on us while we were there. It was plenty big enough for a family of four, and we were able to easily settle in and felt at home quickly. The only issue (and this was minor) was that the upstairs neighbor is quite heavy-footed and there’s not a lot of insulation in the ceilings. Thankfully, we didn’t spend too much time in the unit so it didn’t impact our experience too much.
IMHO this unit is really the best unit at Cocoplum. We were able to keep a close eye on our kids swimming in the pool while we lounged on the lanai and our view of the ocean was unobstructed. We also had direct access to the lawn area, where our kids enjoyed playing.
We will definitely return if Cris will have us!"
