  • Very relaxing, quiet, beautiful & comfortable .

"It’s been a long time since we have been in Grand Cayman, we were along 7 Mile Beach then. But we are older now and have a different way of vacationing. We fell in love with the quiet East End area of Gun Bay. Maria & Jack, you have provided us with a home away from home. I loved waking to the beautiful sunrises and having our coffee on the veranda, then watching the day turn into “another day in Paradise!” Windward Cove is a cozy, quiet, comfortable and beautiful setting we want to enjoy again. Hope to see you next year,"

  • Spectacular - THE Best Place to Stay on Cayman!

"We stayed in the “honeymoon haven” unit mid-March, 2015, and this is perfection in the Cayman Islands! This unit is perhaps THE best unit in this wonderful complex (closest to the beach), and the attention to detail by the owners make this perfection. The owners provide tons of information to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible, and the unit is equipped down to every detail. You have lots of windows to allow for a wonderful breeze through the unit if you prefer. It's a great combination of beach view and privacy. The private beach area has lots of lounge chairs to use and several umbrellas. The beautiful trees provide some shady spots. The complex is at a prime location on the fabulous 7 mile beach. There are plenty of really good restaurants and activities within walking distance. Grocery store is also within walking distance (and they let you take the carts home). You honestly get the best of everything staying here! We’ll be back to Cayman, and this is our first choice of place to stay!"

  • Can't wait to come back!!

"My husband, daughter, and l just spent 9 glorious days in Grand Cayman, and had the pleasure of staying in unit 303 at the Georgetown Villas for the third time. John and Marilyn, the owners, could not be more accommodating, they were just an email away, and responded back promptly with any questions we had. The thing we love most about the villas is the fact that you never need a car - from Kirk's grocery store, to Blackbeards to pick up a bottle of their fantastic rum, as well as the abundance of restaurants just steps away, who could ask for more!! The condo has everything you could possibly need, the beds are comfy, and it is so great to have satellite TV for those days you don't want to sit at the beach/pool, and the view - well it is indescribable, something you have to witness!! We have met and developed friendships with some fantastic people that frequent / own condos in the villas, and we cannot wait to reunite with them in the future!! As far as noise goes, if you are looking for a party atmosphere, this is not the place for you, the only "noise" you hear are the waves slapping against the coral, who could complain about that!! Many thanks John and Marilyn for giving us the opportunity to share your piece of paradise!! Hope to return in 2017!"

  • Great place to stay

"This is our second visit to Grand Cayman Island and our second visit to this condo. We were pleasantly surprised with some new appliances and great floaties. Blender work great for our afternoon ice lemonade. The manger was friendly like always and made sure we had everything we needed. Our visit was for 2 weeks and we had a wonderful stay. People at this condo complex were friendly and out going. Everything is close to this location, restaurant, shopping. The beach was the greatest! Thanks Kathy"

Grand Cayman Travel Tips

Get Away to Grand Cayman

When planning a tropical getaway, one of the first places that comes to mind is the Cayman Islands, perhaps Grand Cayman in particular. The Cayman Islands are nestled in the calm, crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. Just three small islands comprise the great Cayman Islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. All this glory and wonder is located just 480 miles south of Miami so it really is not that far away!

Getting to Your Grand Cayman Getaway

Grand Cayman travel is not as hard as you may think. A flight from Miami is just over an hour which means you can get to the Cayman Islands in virtually no time, especially if you live on the eastern seaboard. As you book your travel plans, regardless of your origin, it is good to know that the best airport to fly into is Owen Roberts International Airport, located on Grand Cayman. Every week there are almost 60 flights going into the Caymans which means your travel plans can be made to fit in with your busy lifestyle.

Activities for Your Grand Cayman Vacation

No matter your age, you will find plenty of activities to keep you busy while staying in Grand Cayman resorts. A Grand Cayman vacation is perfect for the entire family. The shared fun and experiences you will have really sets this destination apart from other tropical settings. While you can have plenty of fun in the sun on Seven Mile Beach, there are lots of new things to try as well. Grand Cayman is known for it scuba diving and underwater adventures. Both experienced divers and first-time snorkelers will have countless opportunities to get up close and personal with the deep blue sea. Check out Stingray City or shipwreck!

Activities for the Kids

A family vacation must include activities and adventures for everyone involved, even the kids! While most kids will love the beaches and everything the wonderful ocean has to offer, there is so much more to do on Grand Cayman. Remember, time spent in Grand Cayman vacation rentals means everyone can pick a day’s escape! Take the kids to play with the sea turtles at Boatswain’s Beach, skateboarding at Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park, or even aboard a real pirate ship! Just remember, even if you do not bring the kids along, you can still check these places out. There is no age limit to fun!

Getting Around Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is pretty small but all destinations are not within walking distance. Around George Town harbor, you will find a small area filled with plenty of shops and eateries where you can walk around but that is really about it. There are plenty of taxis, buses, and car rental offices. If you decide to rent a car, you must be 21 years of age. Additionally, remember to drive on the left side of the road and always wear your seatbelt! For those that do not want to rely on a rental car or public transportation, the option to rent a moped or scooter is perfect! Scooters are affordable and lots of fun.

Best Time for Grand Cayman

The temperatures range from 72 degrees F to 88 degreesF throughout the year, so feel free to plan a Grand Cayman adventure any time of year. Whenever you want to escape it all, book a flight! Warm and sunny all year means a Cayman vacation is hard to beat. Though it is perfectly fine to visit just about any time of year, your best bet is probably January, February, or March. During these months, the climate is at its mildest. There is not any daylight saving time either. So the difference in day length does not vary much between summer and winter.

Grand Cayman does have two rainy seasons, from May to June and then again from September to November. Though the rainfall can be quite heavy, the sun dries everything out quickly. You should plan your trip with hurricane season in mind. Remember, hurricane season runs from June through November, so it is best to avoid those months.
