Recent Cayman Islands reviews

"My husband and I have been coming to Grand Cayman for 3 years now. This time we took along our 9 year old grandson. I must say this place was more than I expected! Wonderful view, clean, plenty of towels and all the little things like floats and noodle, and plenty of toilet paper...LOL. The TV in the second bedroom would only get 4 channels and using the remotes was a little confusing. Nothing that kept us from enjoying place. Joyce let us know that there was a possible issue with the air conditioning but it worked fine. I hope to use this property next year! Thanks for allow people to stay in a nice place for a decent price!"

  • Whirlwind trip to Grand Cayman

"What caught my eye about this condo was the price and after looking at the pics yea lets go for it . We were not let down as the condo was everything and more. Nice to have a combination lock to the door and not having to worry about keys or cards. Great view from the lanai and just a nice resting spot after a day in the sun. The pool was awesome and the water temperature was just right, nice to stand in just to cool off. Went to the beach across the road as it was quiet and very few people. Thanks to Mitch for giving some restaurants we should try. Went to the Lighthouse, Over the Edge, Italian Kitchen, the beach restaurant at Rum Point, as well as Kaibo as we ate there twice, taking in the beach BBQ was great lots of food and great music. Overall the condo is awesome and would come back in a heart beat as we had to cut our trip short as we had a family emergency that turned our holiday into sadness. Anyone looking at this condo to book go for it as it is well worth the money. thanks for the memories and the enjoyable time in Grand Cayman and the weather was great only rained a couple times."

  • Great stay

"Our family enjoyed this condo immensely. Spotless, spacious, what a view! The only caveat is that the location is a bit isolated on the far point of the Island. Groceries and services need to be planned for ahead of time!"

  • Elegant & Peaceful Relaxation in a Slice of Paradise

"CAC VRBO Review for Feb 25- Mar 14, 2015 The enduring enchantment of the Caymans has lured us here for nearly 20 years. You would think we have run out of superlatives by now. Not so! Not any more than we have run out of reasons for returning. Escaping harsh winters, of course, tops the list. At our age, shoveling snow, catching snowflakes on our tongues (you get the idea), just isn’t charming any more. Our month-long respites at castaway Cottage have evolved over time from eight years of visiting Turtle Nest Inn to finding the Castaway Cottage 3 years ago. Of course, Thom and Susan would say, “But we were never lost!” And that is true. It just took us awhile to come together. The charm of Grand Cayman beckons us with gentle surf, some of the best snorkeling we have found anywhere, beloved people who welcome us back each year and, of course, Castaway Cottage. Although we are not cruise ship people, per se, we have enjoyed three Viking River Cruises through Europe and Russia. Each of those excursions lasted 15 days and they were elegant. However, the experience that Susan and Thom have created for us at Castaway Cottage is on an equal elegance scale with Viking River cruises. Thank you Thom and Susan, and bravo for setting the bar so high. See you February 1 2016. Fondly, Two Very Happy & Rested Clients"

Cayman Islands Travel Tips

Cayman Island Rentals Are Bases to Discover Paradise

Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503, the Cayman Islands were originally named Las Tortugas after the numerous sea turtles there. The Cayman Islands are now ideal locations for today’s explorers. Cayman Islands rentals give independent travelers bases from which to discover the myriad of attractions on the Cayman Islands. Cayman Islands villas allow you to discover exciting activities at lovely Caribbean resorts.

Cayman Island Villas for Relaxation and Education

Seven Mile Beach is one of the Caribbean’s premier beaches. Located on Grand Cayman, it is easily accessible from all Cayman Island villas. South of Seven Mile Beach is Georgetown, the capital of the Cayman Islands and home to several Caribbean resorts. Located here is the Cayman Islands National Museum. There are more than 2,000 items portraying the natural, social, and cultural history of the Caymans. Take time away from your comfortable Cayman Islands rentals to visit the Cayman Turtle Farm. This is a fascinating excursion where you can see the work being carried out to bring back the population of endangered green sea turtles.

Explore Sea Life at Caribbean Resorts

No excursion from Caribbean resorts is complete without visiting Stingray City. Conveniently located close to Cayman Islands rentals, this attraction is where a large number of stingrays gather. It is believed that the fish come to the area because local fisherman used to clean and gut their catches here. Now visitors wade onto the waist-deep sandbar to pet and feed these amazing creatures. This will be an unforgettable experience to remember when you look back on your time in Cayman Islands villas.

Caribbean Resorts for World-renowned Diving on your Doorstep

Cayman Islands rentals offer the more adventurous some of the best scuba diving sites of all the Caribbean resorts. World-renowned sites such as Bloody Bay and Jackson's Bight are located on the north side of Little Cayman. Famous for its sheer cliff drop offs, it is definitely for the experienced diver. The spectacular natural beauty, activities, water sports and interesting places to visit from Cayman Islands villas makes the area the perfect vacation destination.
