"We spent a fantastic week at Three Little Birds' . It is hard to explain the beauty and tranquility of the villa but we’ll do our best. The location is incredible. The villa faces the northwest, so you are perfectly situated to catch the incredible sunsets. The beach is approximately 20 meters from the front door. The villa is a very well appointed, recently renovated, spotlessly clean, and has two spacious bedrooms. It has a large screened in lanai which is great for outdoor dining. (You will not want to spend any time indoors because the surroundings are too beautiful. The sound of the surf and wind blowing through the trees is very relaxing.) The water is the most incredible colour of turquoise and the sand is the colour of flour. The beach is suitable for children because the surf is very calm and the water is shallow. Another nice feature is that you can walk the beach for miles. If you walk west along the beach you come to “Starfish” point which is worth the effort! Dining / Food: The villa is a 2 minute walk from Kaibo. Kaibo offers casual beachside dining and a more formal evening option at Kaibo Upstairs. The villa is a 20 minute walk from Rum Point which offers another causal, beach dining spot. In our experience the food at the Kaibo beach bar was better than Rum Point. A lot of tours come and go from Rum Point, so it is a good place to visit for a cocktail but we preferred Kaibo for food. We would highly recommend Kaibo Upstairs. The food and service were incredible, the “Seafood” a dish of scallops, shrimp and various types of fish in a red curry broth was delicious. Groceries: There are two large groceries stores about 40 minutes from the villa. Both stores carry everything you will need for at home dining, toiletries, etc. Foster’s has a great selection of prepared foods (i.e. chicken cordon bleu, salads, fish) which we found useful for easy at home meal preparation on vacation. Next door to Foster’s is a wine and beer store which has a great selection. We will definitely be back to Three Little Birds'. The owners have provided a kayak, tennis racquets and everything you can think of in the kitchen. We spent a fantastic week in the sun with friends and would highly recommend the villa."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 15, 2014View listing
"My family of 5 adults stayed here over Thanksgiving week and had a wonderful time there. It is large enough that everyone had personal space. The condo is obviously loved, given the nice finishes in the updated bathrooms and the well equipped kitchen. It was conveniently located just north of the hotel strip; very quiet and the beach/pool is never crowded--no chair hogging! The condo staff takes pride in the care of the condo and the grounds--impeccably kept. You will not be disappointed. Great snorkeling just off the beach. The sunsets were amazing! There is a Foster's grocery store about a 1/2mi north for most items; if you prefer organic, go to KIRK'S near the airport. Hell and the Turtle Farm are a short drive north."Guest: Robyn W. "We spent a wonderful 10 days in the cottage and exploring the beautiful island beyond. The place was spotless and contained everything we needed to make our vacation perfect -- from cookware to coolers to guidebooks and an outdoor charcoal grill. All exactly as advertised. The cottage is located in a quiet part of this quiet island, with both sunrises and sunsets visible from the oceanside deck. Neighbors are just on one side, and they were there just one evening. As others have noted, swimming directly in front of the cottage isn't the easiest, due to shallow water and a lot of spiny sea urchins. Wear sneakers or watershoes and there'll be no problem. Walk a few steps to the left and entry is a lot easier. We spent nearly all our time snorkeling at a dozen or so spots up and down the shore, where entry and exit are especially easy thanks to ladder-equipped carve-outs in the rock. Plenty to see in the water, too, and each site seemed to offer something different. We went twice to the sandy public beach on the opposite side of the island and we had the place to ourselves both times. Most of the time we were happy to eat in, though we also hit some of the local restaurants plus one of the island's two resorts. Very friendly people everywhere. I guarantee we'll be back!"Guest: Brad Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: June 3, 2014View listing
