"Great condo. It is just as beautiful as the pictures. The owner is very helpful as well as the entire staff at DPC. I would strongly suggest that you bring water shoes (urchins and rocks in water). The beach is rocky at water's point but you can stroll down just a 2 min walk for a sandy entrance. Always had plenty of seating at beach and poolside. The 3rd floor was wonderful for views and not difficult to get to beach. When we arrived Ollie said that an air conditioner repair had just taken place in one of the bedrooms...it worked! She is exceptionally helpful (thank you for the use of the computer). Be advised that there will be no spices, oils, etc. left in kitchen so you will have to purchase that. Lovely time. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat. Thank you :)"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing
"Cayman Bay Escape was perfectly suited for our 4 couple dive club! We have been to Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Bonaire, Belize and Roatan and this was everyone's favorite spot!!! The kitchen has all the necessary equipment. The dining room, TV room and outside living space is perfect for 8 people. The pool deck is huge and we were able to lay out all of our dive gear easily to dry. THere is also an outside shower to rinse off the equipment. The bedroom with the twin beds was easily transformed into a kingsize bed and the bathroom was located just across the hallway. The other bedrooms/bathrooms were very private on either side of the house and the cottage was perfect for one of our couples. The diving off the property is first class. We saw huge Moray eels, lobster, tons of Lion Fish, and other beautiful fish, corals, sponges, sea urchins...the list goes on...The pool was lovely to sit around and watch both the sunrise and sunset. Michael was easily accessible before our trip for multiple questions. The manager, Barbara, was easily accessible by the home phone. Marcia (sp?) came twice during our week stay to wash sheets and towels and freshen up the kitchen. The island is very friendly and safe. We dove with Deep Blue Divers in town and the 15 minute drive each morning was totally worth it. Nick runs a first class dive operation and Sunny was our favorite boat captain and dive master. Nick provided an almost private boat for our group because we don't like to dive with a large number of people at the same spot. We got to swim with Fin the nurse shark and watch Sunny hunt Lion Fish and feed them to the Snapper! The Spotted Eagle Rays were magnificent, as well as the turtles. We saw lobster, huge crabs, huge Moray eels and smaller Brown eels. THe angel fish and other fish and corals, sponges were spectacular! Can you tell that I am having a difficult time finding the adjectives to describe our vacation!?! *smile* A few things to remember, supposedly your US car insurance will not cover you in GRand Cayman, so if you want insurance it about doubles the price of the car. Also, using a cell phone is very expensive...so check you plans before you arrive. Fosters or Kirks grocery were fine for shopping. The restaurants are pretty expensive so come prepared. We found the Sunshine Grill to have fantastic burgers, fish sandwiches for a reasonable price. There is also Pizza Hut and CHicken/Chicken for take out and cheaper dinner. WIFI was great!"Guest: The Margarita Dive Club Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 16, 2014View listing
"Just came came back from a 8 days stay. There are some plus and minus of this condo. It has EVERYTHING! I mean, shampoo, dish detergent, life jackets, condiments, bug repellent, even a free local cell phone to carry around. By the end of the stay, it started to feel like home, that's how much comfort we felt. But the travel into town is something one must consider renting this place. Going into seven miles beach area always take almost an hour one way. Some days we spend three hours or more on the car just exploring. And that's too much driving on the vacation in my opinion. But if you are the kind that like to stay put, this place is great. Rum point is two minute drive which offers a lot in terms if swimming, dinning. The beach front first level property is very friendly to children. But the beach is very rocky, not good for little one running around bare foot. The pool and hot tub is nice, often it is left empty so you can have it all by yourself. The most important thing for us was the wifi connection. It worked great for first five days of our stay. Then, on the day of my son's birthday, we had a scheduled FaceTime with grandparents oversea which everyone were looking forward to singing and blowing the candles of the birthday cake together since they can not be with us. It is then the wifi decided to break. We could not even text them to tell them the internet does not work, so they were left waiting for hours to see their baby grandson. I know that's not the owner's fault on the timing, but it really did ruined our day... The wifi came back on the last day of our stay though. We left feeling positive of the place."Guest: Lynn S. ""Just getting around to writing this but I had to say how wonderful our stay was at The Seacat. This was our third visit to Cayman Brac and definitely the best. The location is perfect, close to everything but secluded and quiet. Every evening we sat on the porch, watched the sunset and felt completely relaxed. The house is beautifully decorated, more like a luxury hotel than a beach house. The pictures dont do it justice. We wanted a special place to celebrate our Anniversary and we were not disappointed. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!" J.Mack ,Chicago"Guest: Nunya Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: April 6, 2014View listing
