"Three couples stayed here for 7 days. To us, it was the best unit in the anchorage...most private. The listing is accurate in its description and exceeded our expectation. The place seemed newly refurbished, was clean, and the service was excellent. No complaints...Would definitely recommend. The towels are not fluffy, but they look good and you're not paying for luxury here anyway. But more than adequate. Snorkeling good right off the beach, especially if you go a little north by the rocks, and swim out toward the ocean, Very shallow for the most part. Good variety of fish. No Mosquitos but no-see-ums (sand fleas) come out at dawn and dusk, even if you're not near the sand) Like Mosquitos, some people are more bothered by them than others. DEET spray or covering up at those times is recommended. Otherwise, daytime is bug free! Had a watersports place deliver some paddle boards to our unit...sorry,didn't get the name. We took one excursion....and it was the highlight of our trip.....a trip to Stingray sandbar and two other sites with Acquarius. Captain Mario wand Duane were great. We only had a total of 13 people on board, so plenty of room. While stopped at starfish beach, Duane made ceviche from the freshly caught conk that he dived for. They have the best price for what they offer and it has a very down to earth feel....not the cattle-car feel of the big boats. The anchorage is located in an excellent position on the beach. It's nearby town and two grocery stores are located within a mile or two in either direction (FYI....grocery and most stores are CLOSED ON SUNDAYS, so plan accordingly). We rented a minivan from Andy's. No problems, all went well. It was a challenge to fit six peoples luggage in it though. You just walk across the small airport parking lot and there they are. An unexpected surprise....chickens and roosters are roaming all over the place. Our funniest photo of the trip was 5 chickens standing in front of Kentucky Fried Chicken! We ate out once at Alfrescos....about a mile north of the condo, very nice outdoor seating and good food for a good price. Yes, it is quite expensive on the island, but if you do your research, you won't go broke. A good find was the hot food bar at fosters grocery. All kinds of local but mostly recognizable hot and cold food at a bargain price. Unless you have regular sun exposure, cover up in mid day so you don't get burned. Sun is strong there. My favorite trip ever! Enjoy!"

  • Awesome stay!

"An excellent beach location for snorkeling! This was our second trip to Grand Cayman Island. We mostly wanted to relax, snorkel and scuba dive- (the first time, we did the more touristy things like seeing the botanical gardens, sting rays, renting waverunners etc...). The villa on the beach was quiet, clean and provided an excellent location for snorkeling. The corral reef was one of the best that we snorkeled at. We also dove with Ocean Frontiers, and they were very good. On a couple of occasions, we ate at the nearby restaurant, Over the Edge, and it was excellent. From our first experience, we knew to pick up groceries at the Fosters near the airport on our way to the villa. The house was clean and spacious with all the amenities that you need. It was really nice to rent a place with a King size bed. We rented a car which is advisable as this location is further away from the main hub, Georgetown and less touristy than the other parts of the island. The owners were easy to deal with and communicated well with us."

  • Perfect!

"Thom & Susan are the perfect hosts! The property is managed by Turtle Nest Inn, which is right next door. The owners, Thom & Susan own the house and take great pride in it. Nothing was left out, or over looked. They thought of everything - Truly a wonderful cottage. I cannot stress this enough, if you are looking for a beautiful, secluded piece of paradise, then this is it. The pools are only a 1-2 minute walk down the beautiful beach at Turtle Nest Inn. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with anything and everything you need. The living room is beautiful and cozy for movies at night. The bedroom is perfect with a nice comfy bed. The bathroom is gorgeous with an awesome shower. Outside- the patio is perfect for coffee and drinks. The hammock was great for naps! The beach is gorgeous and Thom even raked the sea grass for us during our stay. The herb garden was great for fresh mint for mojitos! I can't stress enough that Thom & Susan are great hosts, and were there if we needed anything. Koda, their dog, even came by a few times to say hi! Thanks again Thom & Susan, we would love to come back to your beautiful cottage! All the best! - Ted & Megan"

  • Summer Vacation

"We are 3 ladies that vacation together once a year primarily for the diving and snorkeling. The house was perfect for us. We loved it and the location was great. We dove the Captain Tibbets which is off the shore of the rental and the snorkeling right out back was fantastic. If you are an underwater photographer then you will love this place. It has a ladder down into a protected cove filled with flamingo tounges, redlip blennies, corals, etc. When we were there in July there was a ball of silversides in the cove everyday. The dive shops are at this end of the island. We found this house to be an outdoor enthusiasts wonderland with the swimming cove, sea pools and blow holes. I wouldn't suggest it if you are more of a "resort" type because there isn't a sandy beach or a resort pool or resort type ameneties. The owner was a pleasure to rent from and Mr. Scott was wonderfully helpful. I would definately return and rent again."

Cayman Islands Travel Tips

Cayman Island Rentals Are Bases to Discover Paradise

Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503, the Cayman Islands were originally named Las Tortugas after the numerous sea turtles there. The Cayman Islands are now ideal locations for today’s explorers. Cayman Islands rentals give independent travelers bases from which to discover the myriad of attractions on the Cayman Islands. Cayman Islands villas allow you to discover exciting activities at lovely Caribbean resorts.

Cayman Island Villas for Relaxation and Education

Seven Mile Beach is one of the Caribbean’s premier beaches. Located on Grand Cayman, it is easily accessible from all Cayman Island villas. South of Seven Mile Beach is Georgetown, the capital of the Cayman Islands and home to several Caribbean resorts. Located here is the Cayman Islands National Museum. There are more than 2,000 items portraying the natural, social, and cultural history of the Caymans. Take time away from your comfortable Cayman Islands rentals to visit the Cayman Turtle Farm. This is a fascinating excursion where you can see the work being carried out to bring back the population of endangered green sea turtles.

Explore Sea Life at Caribbean Resorts

No excursion from Caribbean resorts is complete without visiting Stingray City. Conveniently located close to Cayman Islands rentals, this attraction is where a large number of stingrays gather. It is believed that the fish come to the area because local fisherman used to clean and gut their catches here. Now visitors wade onto the waist-deep sandbar to pet and feed these amazing creatures. This will be an unforgettable experience to remember when you look back on your time in Cayman Islands villas.

Caribbean Resorts for World-renowned Diving on your Doorstep

Cayman Islands rentals offer the more adventurous some of the best scuba diving sites of all the Caribbean resorts. World-renowned sites such as Bloody Bay and Jackson's Bight are located on the north side of Little Cayman. Famous for its sheer cliff drop offs, it is definitely for the experienced diver. The spectacular natural beauty, activities, water sports and interesting places to visit from Cayman Islands villas makes the area the perfect vacation destination.
