"We spent a week in this condo in early October. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children. We rented the full space as a 2 bedroom condo. It worked perfect for us! The kids used the pull out murphy beds in the living room. The murphy beds were very easy to pull up and down so we could utilize the full living room during the day. The condo was clean, well equipped and suited all of our needs. The small fosters market across the street was perfect to pick up any last minutes grocery needs. Everyone at the resort was so friendly and helpful! The swimming pools were great too! Since we were there during the off season, we had the pools to ourselves most of the time! The drinks at the beach bar were delicious! We loved the peace and quiet that came with staying on the East End. We also spent sometime in West Bay (1 hour), 7-Mile Beach, Georgetown (40 min) and Rum Point (15 min), which were an easy car ride away! We were a little surprised when we walked down to the beach bar and asked if we could order a snack around 9:30pm, and were told that the closest place to get food this time of night was 45 minutes away....o well, up to the room for mac and cheese! There was also some random things we missed out on because they were not happening this time of year like the Sunday brunch at Tukka, the Barefoot man at The Reef, and the beach party at Kaibo. But we easily found ways to replace these events! This was our first time in Cayman so we did a lot of running around. We spent a day at Rum Point, did the bioluminescence tour, horseback riding, swimming with the dolphins, a full day plus a couple partial days at 7-mile Beach. All were fabulous experiences and I would recommend them to anyone! But we are looking forward to our next trip to Cayman where we can relax at the Reef Resort much more!"Guest: Josie S. "Thumbs up 7UP! We just got back from a WONDERFUL first vacation to Grand Cayman. We were so happy we found this place. Well stocked, nicely decorated, very comfortable condo. Looks better in person than in the pictures! Our 9 year old daughter loved that it was stocked with floaties, buckets, shovels, nets, snorkels, etc. We didn't have to worry about spending money on these things at a nearby store and then have to leave them behind. The location away from the cruise ship hustle and bustle was exactly what we were looking for to relax. We loved taking out the kayak for a nice paddle from the Yacht club around Starfish Point and all the way to Rum Point and back. Arms were tired, but it was a great way to see the area from the water. R Point and Starfish point were so close we went everyday. At RP we swam, snorkeled, did the wave runner safari, catamaran tour to StingRay Sandbar, and so much more. R.P was never that crowded, drinks were cold, and we enjoyed many orders of conch fritters. Back at Kaibo we took advantage of the pool and hot tub in the evening. There were plenty of other kids around to play with our daughter and we felt at ease letting her run around with a flashlight at night looking for "stuff" in the water with new friends while we relaxed at the Kaibo Beach Bar which is literally, steps away. We took in the pizza night and the music and dancing at the Tuesday beach BBQ. Fun! We ate in the condo all but two evenings. 7UP provides everything we need to make just about anything you want in the kitchen. We loved sitting on the screened in balcony to enjoy our meals by candlelight or just hang out and drink coffee in the morning. We highly recommend the restaurant Upstairs at the Yacht Club. The tasting menu was delicious, décor perfect, and the service was outstanding. They even gave us complimentary champagne and dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary. Our 9 year old was even very impressed with her food. Speaking of children...there was plenty of privacy with the two bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo from each other. They are separated by the 2nd bathroom and a utility closet. The balcony also has 2 doors which enter the living room but also a private sliding door to the master bedroom. We could put her to bed and hangout on the balcony and access master bedroom and not disturb her coming in and out. Loved it! Locals are very friendly. We'll be back! Great stay Lynn!"Guest: Julie V. "Thank you so much, Julie, for sharing your lovely condo with my husband and self. We were so ready to unwind and enjoy the surrounding beauty and your home and its location did not disappoint. Seven Mile Beach is the best beach we have ever visited and the location of the complex is perfect. We walked to everything including restaurants and grocery shopping. Every morning we walked for miles in either direction along the beach. The white luscious sand and beautiful blue/green ocean were mesmerizing. We never stopped taking pictures and sharing with family back home. First thing every morning was a refreshing dip in the ocean. The complex outside on the beach was quiet and comfortable. Other guests were considerate and friendly. There was a very nice mixture of the young and older. The sunsets were incredible, especially while relaxing with a glass of wine. Who would ever want to leave! Lisa, the property manger, was friendly and helpful and the daily maid service was always appropriate and considerate of our space and time. The unit is nicely decorated and very comfortable with a pretty ocean view. We enjoyed breakfast on the spacious deck each morning. This unit is on the top level of the building and it is a walk up, but so very pleasant once you arrive. The master bedroom was light and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. This was our 3rd visit to the island and so this trip was more about relaxing and simply enjoying our environment and Julie's condo certainly achieved all our goals. We would love to return to the Cayman again and would feel most comfortable right there in unit #28. We walked to some of our favorite restaurants such as Eduardo's and Sunshine Grill. We love the romantic feeling of the Italian restaurant 'Casa Nova' in town on the beach. Ask for an outdoor table. You will not be disappointed. We highly recommend this condo complex anytime you are wanting that 'little piece of heaven'! We eagerly look forward to our next visit! Thanks once more, Julie, for all your assistance in making this happen for us."Guest: Barbara Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 19, 2014View listing
"Be prepared for the most incredible sunset that you will ever see! The condo was more than we expected in its size, location, quality, amenities and decor. It truly is equipped and decorated with high end, comfortable furnishings. This unit is uniquely located on the third floor on a corner which allowed for an extended patio and better view which we really enjoyed. You had a an excellent view of the town where you could watch cruise ships arriving and departing the harbor and you had a clear view of the vanishing pool, beach, ocean and the spectacular sunsets each evening. This condo is ideally situated on Seven Mile beach so taking a morning or evening walk seems like you have your own private beach. The water is fantastic and we snorkeled directly out from the condo and saw a turtle, a ray and all types of fish. We used the pool which is a beautiful design but we also love swimming in the sea... both were terrific. This was the nicest condo that we have ever stayed in and will hopefully return someday. The staff was excellent and extremely helpful which made our trip more enjoyable and easier to explore the island, even providing the rental car recommendation was a great help as these folks went out of their way to assist us as well. We had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the Beachcomber and would highly recommend this resort. The Beachcomber, in my opinion is the best place to be on Grand Cayman."Guest: Steve from Chattanooga Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
