  • Review of Northern Lights

"My wife and I have stayed at Northern Lights for two to four weeks during the summer almost every year for over a decade. The descriptions and pictures on the web site are accurate. The appearance in reality is as lovely as shown in the in the photos. The air conditioning is good. The condo has all the amenities described on the web site. It is always spotless when we arrive. The owner, who lives in the condo next to the one we rent, has been very helpful and accommodating. There are a handful of good restaurants within a 15 minute drive (you need to rent a car), but we rarely eat out. The main attraction for us is the nearby reef where we snorkel. The reef can be reached from the dock in about a minute's swim and can be followed in water shallow enough to stand for at least half a mile. A couple years ago we recorded seeing over 100 varieties of fish and other marine life (not counting the many corals). If you are a scuba diver, it is feasible to swim from the dock to three of the island's best dive sites, but we have not tried that. Another attraction for us is that it is very quiet. During the summer, it is not unusual for us to look out at the water, or be in the water, and see no other people. We have brought our grown children and other guests from time to time. They have all enjoyed it. The beach between the condo property and the water is sandy but only about ten feet wide. There is sharp rock in the water so that you would not want to go in with bare feet. The entry to the water from the dock, however, is easy and convenient. We always wear flippers for snorkeling when we go in. We would recommend Northern Lights enthusiastically for anyone who likes beauty, serenity, and quiet. It's ideal for lovers -- but not great for small children."

  • Solitude and Sunsets...Unforgettable!

"We visited Cayman Brac with another couple a few years ago. We were in search of a quiet, beach destination. Sea Feather exceeded our expectations and is as described in other reviews. Its location cannot be beat - close to the local dive operations, and equi-distance to some of the best sea cliff limestone rock climbing in the Caribbean. We toured the caves, hiked around the cliff tops, and enjoyed our evenings before sunset checking out the tide pools in front of the house. The diving was fantastic, and I highly recommend the night diving. The house is equipped with everything you need and the hammocks are beyond compare! Sue was great in helping us with our trip planning and Barry took care of our every need while on the Island! We will be back!"

  • GREAT PLACE!

"My husband and I have been coming to Grand Cayman for 3 years now. This time we took along our 9 year old grandson. I must say this place was more than I expected! Wonderful view, clean, plenty of towels and all the little things like floats and noodle, and plenty of toilet paper...LOL. The TV in the second bedroom would only get 4 channels and using the remotes was a little confusing. Nothing that kept us from enjoying place. Joyce let us know that there was a possible issue with the air conditioning but it worked fine. I hope to use this property next year! Thanks for allow people to stay in a nice place for a decent price!"

  • Fabulous vacation - you can't get more relaxing than this!

"Cayman Breeze is the perfect place to unplug, relax and let the world fly by without you. The condo is nicely decorated, comfortable and well outfitted. We spent 2 weeks there and thought that this unit was the best of all the units in the complex - private with excellent views from both bedrooms, living room and lanai. The layout also allowed for privacy within the unit when both bedrooms were occupied. We're not big on air conditioning so it was really nice to find that the sound of the ocean and wind let us keep sliding doors open to the lanai without infringing on privacy. The snorkeling out front was great - the reef is about 100 yards off shore and well worth the swim; currents were not bad at all. The pool is also great and very refreshing. We had our granddaughter (and her parents) down for our second week and we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool. The entire complex is well maintained and the folks we met taking care of it were very nice. Ernie, the gardener, nicely opened some coconuts for us and even gave us a jug of fresh coconut milk for the baby. We loved our vacation and would definitely go back!! One comment on dining out: if you go to Over The Edge, note that they have cats that are very present and that have some bad fleas. The food was very good, but the flea bites were not fun!"

Cayman Islands Travel Tips

Cayman Island Rentals Are Bases to Discover Paradise

Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503, the Cayman Islands were originally named Las Tortugas after the numerous sea turtles there. The Cayman Islands are now ideal locations for today’s explorers. Cayman Islands rentals give independent travelers bases from which to discover the myriad of attractions on the Cayman Islands. Cayman Islands villas allow you to discover exciting activities at lovely Caribbean resorts.

Cayman Island Villas for Relaxation and Education

Seven Mile Beach is one of the Caribbean’s premier beaches. Located on Grand Cayman, it is easily accessible from all Cayman Island villas. South of Seven Mile Beach is Georgetown, the capital of the Cayman Islands and home to several Caribbean resorts. Located here is the Cayman Islands National Museum. There are more than 2,000 items portraying the natural, social, and cultural history of the Caymans. Take time away from your comfortable Cayman Islands rentals to visit the Cayman Turtle Farm. This is a fascinating excursion where you can see the work being carried out to bring back the population of endangered green sea turtles.

Explore Sea Life at Caribbean Resorts

No excursion from Caribbean resorts is complete without visiting Stingray City. Conveniently located close to Cayman Islands rentals, this attraction is where a large number of stingrays gather. It is believed that the fish come to the area because local fisherman used to clean and gut their catches here. Now visitors wade onto the waist-deep sandbar to pet and feed these amazing creatures. This will be an unforgettable experience to remember when you look back on your time in Cayman Islands villas.

Caribbean Resorts for World-renowned Diving on your Doorstep

Cayman Islands rentals offer the more adventurous some of the best scuba diving sites of all the Caribbean resorts. World-renowned sites such as Bloody Bay and Jackson's Bight are located on the north side of Little Cayman. Famous for its sheer cliff drop offs, it is definitely for the experienced diver. The spectacular natural beauty, activities, water sports and interesting places to visit from Cayman Islands villas makes the area the perfect vacation destination.
